The group soon arrived at the largest courtyard in Spirit Butterfly Town. As the largest traveling merchant in the Beast God Continent, Snake Ink had residences in almost every major town, and this was one of them.

Located in the heart of Fairy Butterfly Town, its vast size is a testament to its owner's influence and status in the town.

The courtyard wall, like the city wall Chu Xinyao had seen before, was made of carefully selected stones, each of which had been meticulously polished to ensure that they fit together perfectly.

These stones were laid straight without any crookedness, but although their surfaces had been polished, they still retained a raw and rugged feel.

Shemo gently pushed open the courtyard gate, and with a low creak, a warm courtyard that contrasted sharply with the rough style of the courtyard walls appeared before Chu Xinyao's eyes.

In the center of the courtyard is a garden, filled with various green plants, bringing life to this predominantly stone-built space. Several stone benches are placed around the garden, and in one corner of the courtyard is a pond with a few green lotus leaves floating on its surface, and occasionally a few small fish can be seen swimming. The edge of the pond is decorated with smooth pebbles, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding stone walls.

Bare vines were scattered throughout the courtyard. Chu Xinyao approached curiously to observe these vines that seemed out of place in the courtyard. Upon closer inspection, she realized that the vines were not bare, but rather had small bumps on them, and they should sprout in a few days.

"These are the vines of the Spirit Flower."

Seeing her curiosity, Mo came over and explained it to her.

"Ah! This is the Spirit Flower?" Chu Xinyao exclaimed in surprise. She thought the Spirit Flower was a flower similar to a tulip, but she didn't expect it to be a vine.

“The spirit flower is always green and vine-like. It only blooms when all its leaves have fallen. Look, these are its flower buds.” He pointed to the small bumps and showed them to Chu Xinyao.

Chu Xinyao looked at it for a while and asked doubtfully, "Are you sure it will bloom in a couple of days? This bump is so small, how could it possibly bloom in such a short time?"

"So that's what makes it so special."

Chu Xinyao's gaze shifted back and forth between Mo's face and the tiny bumps, her brows furrowing slightly. She was clearly skeptical of Mo's words. How could such small bumps bloom in just two or three days? Compared to the carved flowers and fluttering butterflies, they were not tiny flowers at all!

Chu Xinyao's expression, a mixture of curiosity and doubt, clearly amused Mo. He smiled and said, "The blooming of the spirit flower is a miracle." He paused slightly, and seeing that Chu Xinyao had turned her attention back to him, he continued softly.

"It is not a plant that grows normally; it requires specific conditions to flower."

Drawn to his deep voice, Chu Xinyao couldn't help but ask, "What are the conditions?"

Mo reached out and gently touched one of the protrusions, her movements tender. "The spirit flower needs the baptism of moonlight, the dew of the night, and..."

Seeing him pause again, Chu Xinyao couldn't help but ask, "And what?"

"And the pure love of the beastmen." Mo turned to look at Chu Xinyao.

Mo's voice was deep and magnetic, his eyes profound. Chu Xinyao couldn't help but want to get closer; she felt her heart racing, and a strange emotion spreading within her.

Stunned by his gaze, she involuntarily moved closer; those deep eyes seemed to possess a magical power, drawing her in. She gently tugged at Mo's collar, making him lower his head until their breaths mingled.

Chu Xinyao quickly noticed the extraordinary nature of the spirit flower. As night fell and the moonlight shone like silver, bathing the entire courtyard, Chu Xinyao and Mo sat quietly by the vines, admiring the moon. Suddenly, Mo told her to observe the flower buds.

She then realized that those tiny bumps had somehow grown several times larger.

Chu Xinyao covered her mouth in surprise and whispered, "How did they do that?" They actually grew from the size of a pen tip to the size of a glutinous rice ball, and no one noticed.

Mo pulled her hand down and smiled, "Don't be afraid of disturbing them. That's just how magical the spirit flowers are. Let's come back to see them tomorrow. The spirit flowers are quite large."

The next morning, when Chu Xinyao went out for exercise, she went to observe those small bumps, and they had indeed grown a few more.

"It's truly amazing! At this rate, this spiritual flower is comparable to the epiphyllum."

Today, Butterfly Town is experiencing a surge in visitors. The streets and alleys are now filled with many more orcs, all dressed in extremely revealing clothing. The young female orcs wear animal skin skirts that barely cover their breasts and waists, while the male orcs are only covered by a piece of animal skin around their waists.

Chu Xinyao left, dumbfounded.

When she returned from her workout and passed through the city gate, an old man handed her a wooden mask. The upper edge of the mask was perfectly designed to cover her forehead and eyebrows, while the lower edge just covered below her eyes, leaving enough space so that the wearer's vision would not be obstructed. The sides of the mask extended to her ears, and were decorated with auspicious flowers and butterflies similar to the patterns carved on the city gate. The ears were precisely where the butterfly wings were depicted, vibrant in color, with the textures and spots on the wings meticulously rendered, as if they were about to take flight at any moment.

The mask's straps are made of soft leather and can be easily adjusted to ensure the mask stays securely in place and won't slip during movement. The straps' color coordinates with the mask's wood color, making it both aesthetically pleasing and practical.

Chu Xinyao was playing with the mask in her hand when she ran into Xiao Hua, who was holding a mask and looking for her, as soon as she entered the courtyard.

"Sister Xinyao, you've already gotten the mask?"

"Hmm, I just went out for a walk and someone gave me this mask. Is this in preparation for the Flower Spirit Gathering?" I have to say, these beastmen are really creative; they've even come up with a masquerade party.

Xiao Hua nodded, "When the spirit flowers bloom, all the young, unmarried beastmen in and around Spirit Butterfly Town will wear masks and go to the Flower Spirit Gathering. And, and..." Xiao Hua excitedly wanted to tell Chu Xinyao, "Sister Xinyao, you don't know, this spirit flower gathering attracts a kind of spirit butterfly. This spirit butterfly is amazing; it can actually, waaaah..."

Mo appeared beside them without them noticing, and covered Xiaohua's mouth with his hand. He gritted his teeth and said, "Xiaohua, don't you have anything better to do? Can't you keep a little mystery? Wouldn't it be better to let your sister Xinyao find out for herself?"

Huh? A Psylocke?

So this butterfly is called a Spirit Butterfly. Is there anything strange about this Spirit Butterfly? Chu Xinyao looked at the Spirit Butterfly on the mask and observed it carefully. Apart from its exceptionally bright colors, it didn't seem to have anything special about it.

"Hehehe..." Xiaohua broke free and made a face at Mo.

"Hey, this girl is getting less and less afraid of me," Mo said helplessly.

"Heh, that's great." Chu Xinyao smiled as she watched Xiaohua run off.

Mo is a very gentle person. I don't know why his subordinates were afraid of him before.

"Mo, when will this spirit flower bloom?" Chu Xinyao looked at the spirit flower bud, which was already the size of a baby's fist, with some impatience. She had seen some young beastmen today, and she was looking forward to the Flower Spirit Gathering, this masked banquet.

Mo only glanced at the flower bud and knew exactly when the spirit flower would bloom.

"It should be tomorrow night."

Tomorrow night?
