As Ye Shuli wandered around the unfamiliar place, puzzled, she was suddenly swept into the light of a divine artifact by a powerful force. Suddenly, the light deflated like a punctured balloon and disappeared with a "poof".

Jiang Ye immediately rushed to her side, looked her up and down, and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that she was alright: "Lili, I'm so glad you're okay! You scared me to death. I thought you were going to ascend to heaven and abandon me, a mere mortal!"

As soon as Ye Shuli and Jiang Ye stepped into the valley, a burly, bearded man with a face full of scars blocked their way.

"Reason? I am reason!" Hu the burly man glared, slamming his massive hand down on a boulder, shattering it instantly and sending fragments flying. "If you know what's good for you, pay up now, or don't blame me for being impolite!"

The atmosphere immediately became tense, with a sense of unease filling the air.

Jiang Ye rolled up his sleeves, ready to argue with Hu Dahan, but was stopped by Ye Shuli.

She narrowed her eyes, looked Hu Dahan up and down, and a meaningful smile appeared on her lips: "Oh, this brave man, you're so hot-tempered, be careful not to hurt your liver..." She took out a shiny object from her bosom and waved it in front of Hu Dahan.

"What is this thing? It's so bright I can't open my eyes!" Hu Dahan cried out in pain, covering his eyes.

He was used to throwing his weight around and had never seen such "high-tech" weapons before. He was caught completely off guard.

Seeing this, Ye Shuli smiled triumphantly and pulled Jiang Ye into the depths of the valley.

"Lili, that was such a nasty trick!" Jiang Ye chuckled as he ran. "This big man Hu has probably never been so pathetic in his life."

"All's fair in war!" Ye Shuli blinked and said playfully, "To deal with this kind of bully who picks on the weak and fears the strong, you have to use some extraordinary means."

The two bypassed Hu Dahan and continued deeper into the valley.

The smell of sulfur in the air grew stronger, and the surrounding scenery became increasingly eerie and sinister, sending chills down one's spine.

Finally, they arrived at the entrance of a dark cave.

Black mist filled the cave entrance, and a nauseating stench wafted out.

"This is the residence of the evil alchemist," Ye Shuli said solemnly. "Be careful, this guy is not to be trifled with."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a chilling laugh echoed from within the cave: "Heh heh heh... I never thought someone would dare to trespass on my territory!"

Immediately afterwards, a dark figure slowly emerged from the cave.

He was a thin, pale old man with a pair of sinister eyes that gleamed with a chilling light.

“An evil alchemist!” Ye Shuli said in a low voice, her tone tinged with wariness.

The evil alchemist smiled coldly: "Little girl, if you know what's good for you, get lost right now, or I'll make sure you don't leave alive!"

After saying this, he made seals with his hands and muttered something.

Suddenly, a huge black shadow darted out of the cave and pounced on Ye Shuli and Jiang Ye.

It was a spirit pet resembling a giant wolf, its entire body pitch black, exuding a strong aura of darkness, and its pair of blood-red eyes staring intently at them, as if it wanted to devour them completely.

"Holy crap, this thing is terrifying!" Jiang Ye exclaimed in surprise, hiding behind Ye Shuli.

Ye Shuli's expression was solemn as she sensed the dark aura surrounding her. She thought to herself, "It seems this battle is more troublesome than I imagined..."

"Jiang Ye," Ye Shuli suddenly said, her tone calm and decisive, "Go and pull the monster, draw its attention!"

"What? Pull monsters? Lili, are you using me as a tank?!" Jiang Ye was completely bewildered, but seeing Ye Shuli's determined eyes, he obediently did as she said.

He took a deep breath, struck what he thought was a cool pose, and roared at the giant wolf, "You beast! Take this!" Then, he started jumping around the giant wolf, occasionally throwing a small stone to provoke it, just like a monkey show.

The giant wolf was stunned by Jiang Ye's comical actions and for a moment forgot to attack.

Its blood-red eyes were filled with doubt, as if asking, "Is this kid here to be funny?"

Taking advantage of the giant wolf's attention being drawn to Jiang Ye, Ye Shuli quietly circled around to its rear.

She observed the giant wolf closely and noticed a collar around its neck that shimmered with a black light.

"It seems this is its control core," Ye Shuli thought to herself.

She took a deep breath, channeled her spiritual energy into her fingertips, and then thrust it fiercely towards the collar.

"Awooo!" The giant wolf let out a painful howl, and its collar shattered, turning into specks of black light that dissipated into the air.

The giant wolf then vanished as if it had never existed.

"What?!" The evil alchemist was shocked and looked at what was happening in front of him in disbelief.

He never imagined that Ye Shuli would break his spirit pet control technique so easily.

"A mere trick, yet you dare to show off your meager skills before an expert?" Ye Shuli sneered.

Upon seeing this, Jiang Ye immediately ran to Ye Shuli's side, looking at her with admiration: "Lili, you're amazing! You're practically my idol!"

Enraged, the evil alchemist waved his hands violently, and a thick green poisonous mist instantly spread out, enveloping Ye Shuli and Jiang Ye.

"Cough cough cough..." Jiang Ye coughed violently, feeling short of breath and his vision blurred.

"Lili..." Jiang Ye's voice grew weaker and weaker, as if he might faint at any moment.

Ye Shuli also felt the power of the poisonous fog, and her breathing became rapid.

"Alchemy? What are you thinking? Time is of the essence, there's no time to waste!" Ye Shuli took the herbs, quickly crushed them, mixed them together, and then wrapped them in large leaves to make two simple gas masks.

"Here, put this on!" Ye Shuli handed a mask to Jiang Ye.

Jiang Ye put on the mask with some skepticism, and felt that his breathing became much easier.

Ye Shuli also put on the mask, took a deep breath, and felt that the effects of the poisonous fog had weakened considerably.

"Nonsense, this is the crystallization of our ancestors' wisdom!"

Wearing gas masks, the two charged through the poisonous fog with incredible speed, heading towards the evil alchemist.

The evil alchemist was dumbfounded when he saw this.

"How is this possible? They actually managed to break through my poisonous fog!" He was stunned as he watched Ye Shuli and Jiang Ye break through the fog and stand in front of him.

"Old man, your poison mist is useless against me!" Ye Shuli sneered.

Just as they were about to get the materials, a familiar voice suddenly rang out: "Stop!"

Ye Shuli and Jiang Ye turned around at the same time and saw Young Master Lin leading a group of people, walking over aggressively.

"Ye Shuli, I never expected you to dare trespass into the forbidden area and steal materials for a divine artifact!" Young Master Lin's tone was icy.

Ye Shuli narrowed her eyes, thinking to herself: Why is this guy so persistent?

"Young Master Lin, these materials are not yours. Why are you accusing us of stealing them?" Jiang Ye stepped forward, confronting Young Master Lin without fear.

Young Master Lin sneered, "Just because I am..." He paused deliberately.
