Chapter 40 The Convergence
Riding a velociraptor, Azure Star sped through the Elder Dragon's Recess, hoping to gather more Elder Dragon materials to craft equipment.
A battered and bruised Teostra struggled to flap its tattered wings as it wobbled toward its nest.
Azure Star did not call upon "Destiny" to bring down Teostra, because she knew that only through her own combat skills could she truly enjoy the thrill of the hunt.
However, this is not good news for the monsters of the New World.
The weapons of Azure Star are enormous to humans, but they are insignificant to monsters whose size is far greater than that of humans.
The pain of being attacked by Azure Star is no less than being slowly sliced to death. Each strike will not cause too much damage, but Azure Star's attacks will not stop.
Due to Azure Star's immense strength and superior skills, the monsters were almost powerless to fight back.
They couldn't harm Azure Star in the slightest; they could only passively take the beating.
The best way to deal with Azure Star is to run away immediately.
In the past, monsters could indeed do this, as it would at least buy them some breathing room.
However, since Azure Star obtained "Destiny," her only weakness has disappeared. The Destiny Gundam's speed even surpasses that of the Sky Comet, leaving the monsters with nowhere to escape.
Whether in the air or on the ground, Azure Star can quickly pursue and defeat them.
In the past, the monsters could rely on their speed advantage to evade the attacks of Azure Star, but now that is a thing of the past.
Many ancient dragons have already fallen to Azure Star's blade; these terrifying mobile natural disasters are utterly powerless before Azure Star.
"Ok?"
Azure Star suddenly saw a red signal flare rising in the direction of the camp. Her heart tightened. Had something happened at the camp? Without time to think, she immediately abandoned the battle with the Teostra, ordered the Velociraptor to change direction, and ran quickly towards the camp.
Upon arriving at the camp, Azure Star was surprised to find that not only was the Commander-in-Chief there, but the Grand Master was also present, along with a Dragonman scholar.
"What happened?" Azure Star jumped off the velociraptor and asked the Commander-in-Chief anxiously.
The Commander-in-Chief crossed his arms and said with a serious expression, "We have found the location that the Lava Dragon was originally going to. The Grand Master has discovered a path leading there."
Azure Star's eyes lit up, and she said excitedly, "That's great!"
The commander patted Azure Star on the shoulder forcefully and said with a smile, "Ready to set off?"
Azure Star nodded slightly, full of confidence: "I'm currently on a hunt, so I don't need to make any extra preparations." As she spoke, she briefly checked her armor and katana.
A hint of appreciation flashed in the Grand Commander's eyes, and he said with satisfaction, "Good! Let's go!" He really liked Azure Star's decisive and efficient way of doing things.
At this moment, the dragon scholar spoke up, reminding us, "We need to take a boat; it can't carry much." He glanced meaningfully at the velociraptor beside him.
"Actually, we don't necessarily have to bring it with us." Azure Star scratched his head and gave a wry smile. "But if we leave it outside, I'm afraid it might cause some trouble, so we should bring it with us."
Amidst the puzzled gazes of the dragon scholars, Azure Star removed an empty cryogenic chamber from his waist and placed it on the velociraptor. After a burst of blue light, the velociraptor was absorbed into the chamber.
Upon seeing this, the dragon scholar's eyes widened in astonishment: "Is this some kind of new technology? It's so amazing!"
He stared in disbelief as the velociraptor was put into a small box.
“Tektronix,” Azure Star said with a smile, “Now everything’s alright, right?”
"By the way, that opening is very small; your 'destiny' probably can't fit through." The Commander-in-Chief felt it necessary to remind Azure Star.
Upon hearing this, Azure Star frowned. She knew that her Destiny Gundam was too large to fit through a small opening.
The cryogenic chamber she used to carry "destiny" had long since run out of power and had to be recharged in the cryogenic refrigerator that came with the chamber.
“Well…” Azure Star hesitated for a moment before saying, “I think there might be a lot of materials this time. Could you share some with the others?”
The Commander-in-Chief raised an eyebrow, knowing what Azure Star wanted to say, and asked directly, "You want to invite your group members?"
Azure Star nodded, revealing a bright smile.
The Commander-in-Chief laughed as well: "Of course, no problem. But are you sure they'll like this material? Your group members are no ordinary people."
Azure Star smiled and shook his head: "Don't worry, Commander-in-Chief. Killer has expressed his interest in monsters to me before, but I haven't been able to find a monster that Killer finds appealing."
The commander-in-chief nodded, indicating his understanding.
He looked at Azure Star, a slight smile playing on his lips. "In that case, let her come later. We can also give them some more as a token of our gratitude for their help."
Azure Star's eyes lit up, and she said excitedly, "Really? Thank you so much, Commander-in-Chief! She'll be so happy!"
The Commander-in-Chief smiled and waved his hand, "No need to thank me, it's only right. They've taken such good care of our Azure Star, we should reciprocate in kind, shouldn't we?"
Azure Star nodded vigorously, her heart filled with gratitude and anticipation.
She couldn't wait to tell Kearsarge the good news, and she was sure she would be very happy.
"Now that we've reached an agreement, let's head to the Convergence Grounds." The Grand Master put his arm around Azure Star's shoulder and led her toward the door.
The dragon scholar stood quietly to the side, his eyes gleaming with contemplation, as if he were thinking about something.
He silently watched the Grand Master and Azure Star's departing figures, and then followed them out of the room.
"The place of convergence?" On the way here, Azure Star had been filled with doubt about this term.
The Grand Master smiled slightly and patiently explained, "That's right, the Convergence Point is where the ley lines leading to the New World converge."
He boarded the small boat and gestured for Azure Star to follow.
"We finally found this place by tracing the trail left by the Lava Dragon."
The dragon scholar watched as the two boarded the boat, then picked up his insect-controlling club and gently tapped it on the shore, propelling the small boat slowly away from the bank.
While using his Insect Glaive as a paddle to adjust the direction of the small boat, he continued to explain to the two of them: "The energy concentration of the Convergence Zone far exceeds that of the Elder's Recess; the energy deposited here is immense."
Azure Star stared wide-eyed in amazement.
He had never imagined that such a wondrous place existed in the New World, capable of gathering such immense energy. A strong sense of curiosity welled up within him, and he yearned to explore this mysterious realm.
As the small boat gradually moved away from the shore and entered a narrow waterway, they were surrounded by countless dragon crystals.
The light emanating from the dragon crystals shimmered on the water's surface, making it sparkle like countless gems inlaid on blue silk.
The commander sat at the bow of the ship, his gaze fixed firmly ahead.
He knew that the converging land was the key to their progress.
Only by traversing this mysterious realm can the secrets of "Ancient Dragon Crossing" be uncovered.
The dragon scholars focused on maneuvering the small boat, ensuring it traveled in the right direction.
"So, once we get ashore, I'll call Kirsaji over?" Azure Star asked uncertainly.
"That's up to you." The Grand Commander looked at Azure Star and told her with his eyes to be brave and do it.
"Uh." Looking at the Grand Commander's eyes, Azure Star felt that the other party had probably misunderstood something.
Azure Star: I have some monsters here that you might be interested in, wanna come? @Kirsaji
Kirsar: I'm fine, shall I come now?
Azure Star: I'll call you when I get there, it's a bit cramped here.
Kirsage: I'll wait for your message.
