Chapter 312 Palpatine's Entanglement

After Grievous's lightsaber was knocked away, he quickly retreated, drawing a blaster pistol from his waist without hesitation.

As he retreated rapidly, he repeatedly pulled the trigger, unleashing a barrage of explosive beams of energy at Palpatine.

However, Palpatine seemed to handle the onslaught with ease.

He lightly swung his lightsaber with his right hand, and the seemingly thin blade acted like an indestructible shield, easily deflecting all the incoming burst beams of energy.

One of the blast beams, after veering off course, struck a Khorne can that was heading straight for Palpatine.

Although the attack failed to cause any real damage to the Khorne can, it did slightly halt its advance.

However, this brief pause did not stop Khorne Can. It hesitated only slightly before continuing its heavy steps, resolutely heading towards Palpatine.

The explosive beam didn't even leave a mark on the Khorne can's armor, merely stirring up a tiny spark on its surface, as if it were just scratching an itch on the hard shell.

Seeing this, Palpatine finally realized that something was wrong.

He hadn't initially taken the red-clad guards he brought too seriously, since they were indeed quite vulnerable in the face of a true powerhouse.

However, the Red-Clad Guards are super soldiers built at any cost, each one an elite guard selected from thousands.

It now appears that these Khorne cans, capable of easily slaying the Red Guards, are clearly not ordinary warriors; their strength far exceeds Palpatine's expectations.

"It seems your confidence doesn't come solely from yourself, but rather from these monsters." Palpatine's lips curled into a faint smile as he turned his lightsaber, his gaze falling on the approaching Khorne cans.

As Palpatine drew closer, he could clearly see crimson flames flowing continuously from the gaps in the armor of these Khorne cans.

The flames seemed to have a life of their own, leaping and dancing on the surface of the armor, making the entire Khorne can look like a demon from hell.

Palpatine pondered to himself, "These beings are definitely not something that should exist in the Milky Way. What exactly are they?"

As the Khorne canisters charged forward, crimson flames rolled in like surging waves, with more and more flames burning fiercely, as if to devour the entire space.

These Khorne cans wanted to charge with shouts, but because they were stuffed into this armor, their ability to speak was ruthlessly taken away. So they could only vent their anger and thirst for blood by burning.

The sword of hell whistled down through the air, carrying endless killing intent and destructive power.

Seeing this, Palpatine quickly raised his lightsaber and used all his strength to deflect the terrifying attack.

However, just when he thought he had successfully withstood the attack, Khorne suddenly raised his shield and retaliated in a way that completely defied the laws of physics.

Palpatine was startled. He immediately realized that the opponent's attack method was unusual, so he did not hesitate to use the Force to accelerate and move as fast as lightning to narrowly avoid the Khorne can's attack.

Seeing Palpatine tightly bound by the can of Khorne, Griffiths' lips curled up slightly, revealing a barely perceptible smile.

He put away his explosive pistol, strode over to the five red-letter mages, his eyes fixed on the situation on the battlefield, and asked, "How much longer?"

The red-letter mages seemed unsurprised by the current battle situation. One of them calmly replied, "You don't need to worry. Those demon engines are enough to withstand his attack."

Griffiths frowned slightly, his gaze never leaving Palpatine who was dodging left and right. He said worriedly, "I'm afraid Palpatine will take the opportunity to escape."

The red-letter mages exchanged glances, and one of them replied calmly, "Then even if the God of Unity doesn't care, they definitely won't have an 'easy time'."

Griffiths nodded slightly in agreement, clearly also believing that Kilsager would punish his personal guard.

However, he had no idea what the Scarlet Letter monk meant by "it won't be good."

Just then, the Hellfire Sword grazed Palpatine's head with astonishing speed, and instantly, raging hellfire burst forth like a demon, setting Palpatine's hair ablaze.

Seeing this, he retreated quickly without hesitation, keeping a certain distance from the charging Khorne can.

The flames on Khorne Canned Food, now missing an arm, burned even more fiercely, as if it were filled with resentment for failing to decapitate Palpatine.

Its massive body was covered with numerous wounds, all inflicted by Palpatine with his lightsaber.

After a brief exchange, Palpatine gained a preliminary understanding of these tall and strange beings.

He discovered that neither his powerful Force nor his ranged weapons could inflict any real damage on him.

On the contrary, lightsabers can easily penetrate their thick armor.

Palpatine expressionlessly flicked his fingers, using the Force to easily wipe away the flames in his hair.

His gaze was cold and sharp, fixed directly on Griffiths, and he said, "These guys are interesting, but with them alone, you're far from enough to take my life."

Although he said it so casually, he was actually secretly activating a distress signal.

The signal was not detected by the clone soldiers involved in the attack, but was received by a group of clone soldiers who were not involved in the attack.

They immediately drove their armored vehicles at breakneck speed to Palpatine's location.

In terms of mastery of the Force, Griffiths is worlds apart from Palpatine.

Therefore, he naturally did not notice the other party's subtle actions.

However, even if he discovers this, he will probably act as if nothing happened.

After all, in an empire personally overseen by Kearsarge, summoning beings that already possess physical forms in the real universe is not a difficult task.

Moreover, the current summoning circle has already offered enough sacrifices.

Although these offerings can only allow the summoned beings to briefly channel their power into this place, it is sufficient for the current situation.

Griffiths silently pulled out his blaster pistol, preparing to make Palpatine's dodging and counterattacks more difficult.

Palpatine's anger was instantly ignited when he saw Griffiths merely using a blaster to remotely interfere with him.

He stared wide-eyed at Griffith in the distance, cursing inwardly, "That shameless coward is so weak!"

At the same time, the horrific canned goods were also dissatisfied with Grievous's actions.

They were originally a group of bloodthirsty and warlike demons, and they despised this kind of behavior of ambushing from a distance.

Several of the more temperamental Khorne cannibals couldn't contain themselves any longer. They suddenly burst into flames, letting out low growls, as if they wanted to rush over and stab the coward.

However, just as they were about to act, purple flames suddenly ignited, and the sound of gears turning filled the air.

The sound was like the activation of some kind of mechanical device, sending a chill down one's spine.

Immediately afterwards, the bodies of these Khorne cans seemed to be controlled by some force; their movements became stiff, and the purple flames that were originally burning gradually went out.

They stiffly walked toward Palpatine and continued their attack.

As time went on, the surrounding environment began to undergo strange changes.

The laws of physics seemed to have failed; the water droplets that should have flowed downwards began to flow upwards and piled up, forming towering icicles.

The roar of an engine came from afar, growing louder and louder, clearly indicating that something was rapidly approaching.

A glimmer of hope rose in Palpatine's heart; he felt that perhaps reinforcements had arrived.

However, judging from the completeness of the ritual, Palpatine realized that, given the speed of reinforcements, they would most likely not be able to arrive before the enemy completed that bizarre ritual.

Just then, a bone-chilling cold suddenly struck, as if it could penetrate one's soul.

Palpatine shuddered; his body was enveloped in the icy cold, causing him excruciating pain.

However, this pain did not subdue him; instead, it ignited a more powerful dark force within him.

However, Palpatine had no time to pay attention to the changes in his power, because the icy cold was still spreading.

The entire world was covered by this pure white supernatural frost, a deathly silence devoid of any life.
