Chapter 201 No After-Sales Service Included
"Do you understand now?" Jadin's face was cold and stern. Holding a gleaming pistol, he walked slowly and steadily towards a group of Jakku people.
He raised his arm, pointing the gun directly at his ship, which had been dismantled into a frame by the Jakku, and said coldly, "You'd better fix it for me, or else..."
At this point, Jadin paused slightly, but did not continue.
However, he believed that the Jakku people before him would naturally understand the unspoken threat.
At this moment, under the enormous and eerie shadow of the Wanderer, the Jakku people appeared exceptionally small and insignificant.
Despite their reluctance, they had no choice but to begin their operation due to the threat posed by the Wanderer.
The Jaku people, trembling, searched through the mess for the parts they had taken from Blade's Edge. After much effort, they finally managed to gather them all.
Next, following the original disassembly steps, the Jaku people carefully reassembled the parts back into their original positions.
"It's really not pitiful at all!" El muttered, and suddenly fired a shot without warning at a Jakku man whose movements were a bit strange.
With a flash of dazzling green light, the unfortunate Jakku was instantly knocked unconscious.
El bent down, and the Jakku quietly pried a chip out of the parts that had just been put back together, and quickly hid it in his clothes.
Al took the Jakku into the cryogenic chamber and installed the chip on the mechanical parts.
Meanwhile, Tina stood firmly atop the Jakku's mobile fortress.
She skillfully raised the Tek sniper rifle with both hands, her eyes constantly monitoring each of the Jaku people below who were "working hard" through the scope.
Although the Jakku people were doing their best to repair Blade's Edge, their extreme reluctance made their work efficiency exceptionally low.
Seeing this scene, El couldn't help but think of Quill, who had helped them.
As far as he knew, Quill seemed to have a very complete set of repair tools, and if he could get Quill's help, it would surely speed up the repair process.
So, El quickly walked up to Jadin and suggested to him with a serious expression, "Uncle, in my opinion, you should go find Quill as soon as possible. Tina and I are keeping an eye on things here, so there shouldn't be any major problems."
Jadin nodded and rode away on his Brugg beast.
Soon, Jadin and Quill arrived, Quill riding a Brugg beast that was also towing a hovercar.
With Quill's addition, the speed of repairing the spaceship was greatly accelerated, and none of the Jakku people who wanted to get some gadgets were put into the cryogenic chamber by El.
After Blade's Edge was repaired, Jadin checked its condition in the cockpit.
After finding that there were no problems with Blade's Edge, Jadin turned around and sincerely thanked Quill: "Thank you for your help, Quill."
“You drove away the bandits and restored peace to this place; you deserve it.” Quill turned and left. “That’s all.”
Under the watchful eyes of Jakku and Quill, Blade's Edge slowly took off and entered the Wanderer's hangar.
The Wanderer, with its engines revving, swept overhead, its blue light and matrix slowly enveloping it before the entire warship vanished.
On the Wanderer, which has entered warp drive, El and Tina are feeding the little green creature.
Various colored cookies flashed past the green little guy, who wanted to try them all. He used his Force to try and take the cookies from El's hand.
“Psionic energy, no, it should be called the Force.” El subconsciously activated the psionic countermeasure, and the little green guy suddenly felt his brain go blank and sat on the ground as if he had lost all strength.
“An abandoned baby with the Force.” Jadin walked up to the three of them. “I know why those remnants of the Empire wanted it.”
"Should we give it to him?" Tina felt very uncomfortable, and a hint of murderous intent emanated from her.
Jadin took in Tina's expression and said, with a hint of ambiguity, "Bounty hunters won't violate guild rules, nor will they concern themselves with what happens afterward. They'll just take the bounty and leave."
Tina nodded, and the Strike Freedom, which was connected to her mind, quietly lit up its eyes.
The Wanderers soon arrived in Nivaro, and Jadin, carrying the little green baby in its stroller, approached the remnants of the Empire.
"Yes! That's it! That's right!" The old man and the scholar were both very excited.
"Where's my bounty?" Jadin interrupted the two. All he wanted now was the barrel of Besca Steel and to get out of there as soon as possible.
The old man looked up at Jia Ding upon hearing his voice, his face calm as he said, "You truly live up to your reputation."
He took a white, sealed container from under the table, and when he opened it, it was filled with Besca steel.
After confirming that these were genuine goods, Jadin closed the sealed container, picked it up, and left.
As he was leaving, Jadin turned back and said, "By the way, this is none of my business anymore."
“Of course, it’s a good thing that you’re following the rules.” The old man didn’t think the place would be easily breached.
Jadin left without looking back and headed towards the Mandalorian hideout.
Jadin carried the sealed barrel and slowly walked into the Mandalorian's hideout.
This secluded place suddenly became somewhat unusual because of the sealed container in his hand.
The eyes of many Mandalorians were drawn to it, especially when they noticed the snow-white sealed barrel, their curiosity was instantly ignited.
Finally, Jadin arrived before the blacksmith.
As the lid of the sealed container was gently lifted, a distinctive metallic scent wafted out.
All the Mandalorians present stared wide-eyed as they saw that the barrel was filled to the brim with incredibly precious Besca Steel!
At this moment, a tall and imposing Mandalorian stepped forward, reached into the bucket, and took out a piece of Besca Steel to examine it closely.
He quickly noticed the clearly visible Imperial insignia on the steel block, his face darkening immediately, his tone filled with dissatisfaction and skepticism: "This was collected during the Jedi Carnage! Have you been working for the Empire all this time?"
Faced with the questioning, Jadin remained unusually calm, simply replying, "Yes and no, but you'll soon understand why."
Just as everyone was puzzled, the blacksmith spoke up: "In any case, it is a fortunate thing that every piece of iron belonging to us Mandalorians can return to the tribe."
As she spoke, she began to inspect the quality of the Besca steel, as if she could already see the exquisite equipment that would be made from it.
After some evaluation, the blacksmith nodded in satisfaction and said, "There is enough Bescar steel to not only forge a complete set of Mandalorian armor, but also to make an extra bird whistle."
However, Jadin then added, "I intend to use the remaining amount to fund abandoned babies."
The tall Mandalorian frowned and pressed, "What exactly did you mean by that? How did you obtain these things without working for the Empire?"
In an instant, all eyes were once again focused on Jadin, waiting for him to give a further explanation.
"It's about to start. Can we finish forging after this? It'll be quite noisy." Jadin didn't explain, but said to the blacksmith. He had seen the Strike Freedom and El Guard already activated before he left.
Upon hearing Jadin's words, the blacksmith stopped what he was doing, put the Besca steel back into the sealed barrel, and closed it: "Let me see how big a commotion this will cause."
Soon after, a tearing sound came from the sewers, and the curious Mandalorians headed to the sewer exit to see what Jadin had said.
Jading slowly got up. He had never seen the two mechs fight before, and he was going to go and take a look.
At that moment, the ground suddenly began to shake, and the attack by the Strike Freedom had begun.
"Green kid located." Tina descended from the sky in her Strike Freedom, her beam rifle aimed at the heat source next to the little green guy.
"Strike Freedom, Operation Begins."
