Chapter 158 Horus Ascends the Soul of Vengeance

"The Eternal Will still possesses an astonishingly powerful combat capability!" Frikan Malos gently stroked the mysterious token given to him by Luo Jia, as if he could feel endless power and responsibility from it.

At this moment, he could mobilize all the resources of the Word Bearers Legion except for Luo Jia himself at will.

Even the Iron Warrior Primarch Peturabo was shocked by Lojia's astonishing move—it was as if he had handed over the entire Legion to someone else without reservation!

With such immense military power in his hands, Frikan Malhos did not hesitate at all. He made a decisive move and quickly launched an operation to rescue the Black Rock Fortress of the Eternal Will.

Despite the fact that this magnificent fortress had been heavily bombarded by the Abyss Lord's Doomsday Cannon, with three of its eight corners ruthlessly destroyed, it still stands stubbornly, ready to fire back at any moment.

When the three Blackrock fortresses converge on the sun of Kadia like three shining stars, the magnificent spectacle that took place in the Gothic Sector eight hundred years ago will be recreated!

That thrilling battle is etched in the memory of the world; now, history is about to be rewritten, and the protagonist who will create a new legend will be him, Frikan Malhos!

"Trillions of throats will roar because of you, countless souls will come to the table of the gods, the human empire will tremble before the might of the highest heavens, and those who dwell in darkness will never see the light again!"

The Black Legion's chief prophet, Moriana, shared her prophecy with Frican Malhoth, which solidified his resolve.

The Chaos Fleet is attempting to recapture the Eternal Will, and Spyr, having experienced the Gothic Wars, understands their intentions. The Imperial Navy is also doing everything in its power to stop the Chaos Fleet's actions.

Abaddon was far removed from the fierce battlefield, standing grimly on the spacious bridge of the Vengeance Soul.

He clenched his fists, his heart filled with anger and frustration, because this battle had cost him dearly—not only had he lost a large number of his loyal elite troops, but his own warships were also suffering heavy losses.

Just then, a trembling servant rushed to Abaddon and anxiously reported, "Lord Warlord, after our careful investigation, the Ominous Ark has completely disappeared from the divination box!"

Upon hearing this news, Abaddon frowned deeply, his eyes revealing a hint of unease and doubt.

He gritted his teeth and ordered, "Increase the reconnaissance efforts! How could such a massive warship vanish without a trace? Something must have gone wrong!"

However, as time passed, no concrete clues about the Ominous Ark came in.

Suddenly, Abaddon felt a chill run down his spine, a strong sense of foreboding washing over him.

Before he could react, the once peaceful starry sky was instantly enveloped by a mysterious and dazzling nebula, and the Vengeance Soul, where they were, was located at the center of this nebula.

Abaddon stared wide-eyed at the ever-changing shape of the nebula before him, alarm bells ringing in his mind.

Almost simultaneously, hundreds of tiny, faintly glowing dots shot out of the nebula like meteors and crashed into the hull of the Vengeance Soul at lightning speed.

Although the divination box was completely unaware of this, Abaddon, with his keen intuition and exceptional eyesight, clearly saw the outline of the giant warship hidden deep within the nebula.

Without a doubt, that was the ominous Ark that struck fear into the hearts of all and belonged to the eternal chosen ones!

The outcome is now clear: the Vengeful Spirit has been boarded, and the Eternal Chosen flagship easily bypassed the Black Fleet's defenses, leaving the boarding force in its wake.

"Damn it! Useless!" Abaddon cursed, the entire black fleet! They hadn't even seen when the Ominous Ark had arrived! They couldn't stop her from doing anything!

Instead of wreaking havoc on the bridge, Abaddon turned and left, ready to unleash his fury on the enemies boarding the Vengeance Soul.

Meanwhile, on the Vengeance Soul, Black Legion Space Marines, armed and ready to confront the boarding forces, nearly fell to the ground upon seeing the person before them.

That figure clad in the finely crafted Terminator power armor, wielding the Worldbreaker warhammer in one hand and the Claw of Horus in the other—wasn't that their Primarch, Horus Lupecal?!

The Black Legion veterans laid down their weapons following the rhythm of their genes, while the Black Legion Space Marines, who had never seen Horus, also chose to lay down their weapons after a moment's hesitation.

Horus sighed as he looked at the Black Legion Space Marines, who had not undergone much physical mutation. Behind him, Shadowmoon Wolf stood silently.

Horus, knowing Abaddon was on his way, signaled the Shadowmoon Wolves to lay down their weapons and await his foolish and rebellious offspring.

Abaddon saw a group of Black Legion Space Marines kneeling on the ground, and the sight of them kneeling before him chilled him to the bone.

"You are nothing but a puppet of the false emperor!" Abaddon roared at Horus, wielding the demon sword Draconion.

"Whether I am or not, you know it in your heart." Horus, wielding the Worldbreaker, walked step by step toward Abaddon.

The Black Legion Space Marines blocking his way made way for him, and the Shadowmoon Wolves behind Horus did not follow.

Abaddon watched Horus walk by, the golden flames burning on his body making Abaddon feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Abaddon didn't come to his senses until the figure, which was much taller than the Space Marine, enveloped him.

"My father was not a good father, but he was certainly a good emperor." Horus looked down at Abaddon, his eyes blazing with anger. "And you! Abaddon! Look at what you've done!"

"You used your brothers' souls as sacrifices to please the evil gods of the warp! They were your brothers! My offspring!"

Abaddon trembled at every word Horus uttered, but he still gritted his teeth and replied, "I did nothing wrong! Only by embracing the Warp can humanity be revived! And this decaying empire is utterly incapable of doing so!"

"Sigh." Horus looked at the stubborn Abaddon in front of him and waved for the other Space Marines to make way for him.

"Looks like you won't understand unless I give you a good beating." Horus tossed the Worldbreaker in his hand, and the lightning that erupted from it sent chills down Abaddon's spine.

Surrounded by the Black Legion and the Shadowmoon Wolves, Horus explained to them the difference between the Primarch and the Astartes.

"The era of the Primarchs is over, isn't it!"

"Embracing the warp, is that it!"

"You're calling me a puppet, huh!"

......

The Black Legion has remained silent about everything that happened on the Vengeful Spirit ever since, but it's safe to assume they have no secrets either.
