Kilsager and Chat Groups

Chapter 147 Forbidden Army

The conference room was filled with a suffocatingly oppressive atmosphere, which Malakin could clearly feel the moment he stepped in.

He understood the reason for this situation. Putting aside the still missing Mountain Array, the fact that Abaddon actually possessed a second Planet Killer was enough to shock everyone.

It's worth noting that while Kadia's planetary shield had successfully withstood the fierce attacks of Blackrock Fortress, it would likely struggle to completely withstand the devastating doomsday cannons of Planet Killer.

However, no matter how dire the situation, this battle must continue without hesitation, because what is the point of them gathering here if they retreat at this moment?

Just as everyone was deep in thought, Sven Bloodhowl broke the silence: "We can try a boarding operation against that Planet Killer and destroy it completely from the inside!"

This bold proposal ripped through the heavy atmosphere like a bolt of lightning.

However, Spier calmly replied, "They have hidden Planet Killer very well. It has now disappeared from our sight. Unless we can find a lure to attract Planet Killer, any action will be in vain."

Upon hearing this, Marshal Amarridge frowned and asked, "Is it possible that even the Eternal Expedition cannot serve as bait?"

Spier slowly shook his head and said in a heavy tone, "I'm afraid it won't work, sir. After all, it's almost impossible to lure out that terrifying planet killer with just one Glory Queen-class warship."

"Boom!"

Sven Bloodhowl slammed his fist on the table, gritting his teeth as he said, "Is there nothing we can do?"

He was met with silence; Abaddon, with his new planet-killer, had completely seized the initiative.

“Kadia cannot be destroyed.” Caul’s voice came from the entrance of the conference hall, and his massive figure slowly entered the hall. “I have good news.”

"Great Sage, what good news have you brought?" Spier asked, voicing the question on everyone's mind in the meeting hall.

“I’ve figured out how those obelisks on Cardia work; they can suppress warp forces.” Caul’s mechanical eye swept over the crowd and continued, “It can repel the Eye of Terror.”

While everyone was still processing the information brought by Kaul, Kaul dropped another bombshell: "If there are enough obelisks and they are operating at full power, it can even shut down the Eye of Fear."

After everyone had finally recovered from their shock, Spyr frowned and thoughtfully analyzed, "According to you, if we successfully eliminate the two major threats, Planet Killer and Blackrock Fortress, and then activate all the obelisks, wouldn't that mean the Black Legion will never be able to breach Kadia?"

“You could say that.” Kaul nodded slowly. The meeting had now returned to its previous topic: how to deal with the planet killer.

The Mountain Array was still drifting in the warp, its damaged state making it a coveted target for many warp demons, but the Geller Force kept them at bay.

"Cough cough..." Accompanied by a violent cough, the Black Legion veteran, equipped with Terminator power armor, coughed up a mouthful of thick, black and red blood.

The blood seemed to gush out from deep within his body, splashing onto the cold ground and forming a shocking pool of blood.

Before this veteran, the Imperial Guard, engulfed in blazing golden flames, stood like a cold and ruthless statue.

The intense heat emanating from him mingled with the pervasive smell of gunpowder, creating an indescribable sense of oppression and fear.

Behind the golden figure, corpses, their powered armor tattered and burned beyond recognition, lay scattered throughout the passageway.

"Hmph, what so-called imperial truth? In the end, didn't that Corpse Emperor still use power from the warp?" The Black Legion veteran, enduring the sharp pain in his chest, shouted at the Imperial Guard with a mocking smile, "You bunch of cowards who cower in the palace all day, what's the reason you've even stepped out of the palace gates? Did the False Emperor give you some orders again?"

However, the Imperial Guard remained silent in the face of the veteran's questioning and ridicule.

He was like a group of emotionless killing machines, silently carrying out his mission—to burn the corpses of the Chaos Space Marines on the ground to ashes.

"Answer me! Imperial Guard! Is that corpse really that important to you? Is it worth all this trouble to protect it?!" The veteran of the Black Legion was clearly unwilling to be ignored like this. He widened his eyes and continued to question loudly, even to the point that his blood was rushing to his head again due to his excessive emotions, and a sweet and metallic taste rose in his throat.

"He has been sitting there for ten thousand years! He will never be able to stand up again! You cannot protect Him at all!"

The Imperial Guards stopped moving and appeared before him at a speed that the Black Legion veterans could not even see.

“I have no intention of arguing with you.” Golden flames surged from the eyepieces of the Imperial Guard. “But you must understand that everything the Emperor does is for the sake of humanity.”

"Ha! What a fine 'for humanity'! What are we then! What are the Space Marines!" The Black Legion veteran struggled to his feet, looking up at the Imperial Guard's golden eyes.

“Tools,” the Imperial Guard said slowly. “You are, I am, and the Emperor himself is.”

"What?" The Black Legion veteran stared intently at the Imperial Guard; this was not something an Imperial Guard member should know.

“I will not betray, and I have never betrayed.” The veteran of the Black Legion removed his helmet, revealing a bald head burning with golden flames. “My disagreement with him does not mean he is wrong.”

"You...you..." The Black Legion veteran trembled as he pointed at the "Imperial Guard," his body finally giving way and he collapsed to the ground.

“Traitor.” The Imperial Guard uttered two words, but those two words were more painful for the Black Legion veteran than burning him to death with the Emperor’s Fire.

"No..." The black legion veteran's heart died completely, followed by the "Imperial Guard's" power halberd.

The Imperial Guard put on their helmets as if nothing had happened.

"What a show." A hunched silver figure emerged from the shadows.

“I hope you understand the price of betrayal, Xenomorph.” The “Chieftain” did not turn around; he simply stared at the corpses of the Chaos Space Marines scattered on the ground.

“Of course, your God-Emperor seems capable of doing some unexpected things even on the Golden Throne.” Tarasin tapped his scepter lightly.

“He is not a god, but an alien,” the “Imperial Guard” said solemnly.

"Yes, but it's not really appropriate to keep calling me Alien. How about calling me Silver Skull Battle Commander?"

"roll!"

Taracin arrived here just as the fleet of the group members was about to return to Cadia. Five giant ships, leading a massive fleet, were about to return to Cadia.
