Kilsager and Chat Groups

Chapter 1 Desperate Situation

“This should be the last one.” Kilsaji placed down a blue spherical crystal, a construction beacon she had specially made for the Corruption Suppression Tower.

A small, disc-shaped robot flew over; it was HLN-A, a name familiar to Ark: Survival Evolved players. "Coordinates uploaded. This is the 40th Corruption Suppression Tower. Survivor."

“Hmm.” Kirsage looked up, peering through the protective layer of the ecozone at the fake 'sun'. “I’ve been here for about three years now.”

"To be precise, Genesis has completed 1095 day-night cycles," HLN-A said while scanning the ground where the beacon was located. "There are no underground cavities. It seems that your authority struggle with Rockwell did not have a significant impact on Genesis's systems."

"Radar offline, all escape pods destroyed, database locked, all shipboard weapons ejected—and this is considered no impact?" Kearsarge rolled his eyes, exclaiming helplessly.

“Well, at least the navigation system and warp engine are fine.” HLN-A showed a sweating expression. “Although warp times and navigation are completely random now.”

As soon as it finished speaking, Genesis initiated a jump, and a beam of light pierced through the ecological ring, connecting the opposing nozzles of the diamond-shaped bow and columnar stern of this 80-kilometer-long behemoth. The giant Tek sails at the bow and stern began to retract.

"Another jump is about to begin." Kirsage knew the jump had started when she saw the 'sun' turn into a pillar of light, but she noticed something was wrong. "Isn't the brightness too high this time?"

HLN-A compared the brightness with previous values and found that it was indeed brighter than during previous transitions. "Could it be that this transition distance is even greater?"

After saying that, it looked at Kirsage, only to find that she had already closed her eyes.

At this moment, Kirsage's consciousness had entered the control center of the Genesis. In her vision, the ship was divided into four parts: green, which was the area she had already controlled; blue, which was the part of the Genesis that was still running automatically; red, which was offline or locked; and finally, purple, which was the area that had been corrupted and controlled by Rockwell.

Once inside, she immediately looked at the warp drive and noticed that the blue area it represented was flashing continuously, while a purple area next to it was trying to invade it.

Seeing this, Kirsage's face turned red with anger. Both she and Rockwell needed to have a good understanding of the technology contained in a region to control it.

Previously, with the help of HLN-A, she directly read the database, thereby gaining control over a large number of areas.

Upon discovering this, Rockwell immediately launched a massive and devastating intrusion, forcing Kirsar to lock the database to prevent its destruction.

Even so, Kirsar, as a modern time traveler, still has an advantage over Rockwell, the medieval gentleman clone.

However, her attempts to control the warp drive repeatedly failed. As a device as important as the matter recombination device, Kilsager had no way to deal with it without the help of the database, let alone Rockwell.

“Stop! Rockwell!” Chirsar shouted, and she was sure Rockwell could hear her.

"Hehehe, the core of this ship will soon be under my control!" A purple figure appeared before Killer Jake. The barely recognizable humanoid form was covered with countless tentacles, and its head was hairless, covered with countless pustules.

Rockwell raised its head, revealing a mouth on each side. "You cannot defy corruption, nor can you defy me!"

"You son of a bitch! If the spaceship's jump fails, you'll die too!"

"I have survived many hardships, and this time will be no exception!" Rockwell laughed loudly, and maggots covered in purple patterns kept jumping out of his mouth, making him look extremely disgusting.

Kirsage remained silent, looking at the warp drive that hadn't been significantly eroded by the purple color; she could already see the ending.

Rockwell had absolutely no ability to corrupt the warp drive, but it thought it could. The only result would be the damage to the warp drive and the loss of the entire ship's ability to travel faster than light.

Kilsager sighed, completely disqualifying Rockwell, the former British strongman, from the game. "Since you want to play, I'll play along to the end."

As she finished speaking, HLN-A, which was on the ecological ring, discovered that all 35 corruption suppression towers that had been built had been activated, and blue beams of light shot out from the center, directly hitting the energy beam generated by the Genesis's jump.

"Om-"

After a shudder, Genesis was forcibly aborted from its jump.

"What have you done!" Rockwell was horrified to discover that it could no longer affect the warp drive in the slightest. The warp drive was completely locked, and explosions were occurring in large areas under its control.

“I’m telling you, don’t push me,” Killer Jake replied coldly. “I originally wanted to cleanse you of the corruption and turn you back to your original form, after all, you are now the only human on Earth in this universe.”

“It seems I was too naive. Humanity in this universe has long since perished.” Killer Jake said sadly. “But I will not let you destroy this ark, the only vessel that represents humanity’s existence!”

"Hmph! Just you wait!" Rockwell, overwhelmed by the explosion, immediately left the space after uttering these harsh words.

Kilsager also left after establishing multiple firewalls.

After discovering the anomaly, HLN-A had been waiting for Kilsager to return. As soon as it saw Kilsager's hand move slightly, it immediately came closer.

"What happened? Why was the jump forcibly stopped?"

Upon hearing HLN-A's question, Kilsaji shook his head and told it everything in detail.

"The question now is where the Genesis has ended up, and whether there are any habitable planets nearby." Kirsage immediately thought of their current situation after explaining the situation.

“Unfortunately, survivors, there are not only no habitable planets nearby, but not even in any star system.” HLN-A projected the situation near Genesis in front of Kearsarge. “The nearest star system is at least 3.5 light-years away.”

"Too far. The corruption suppression towers and firewalls I've set up can only imprison Rockwell for a maximum of three years."

Time was of the essence, but neither of them could come up with a solution to their current predicament. Even if the ecological ring could detach from the spaceship, it would fly much slower, and without the spaceship's energy supply, they didn't know if they could even reach the edge of the nearest galaxy.

"Members of the World Mutual Aid Chat Group has sent you an invitation. Would you like to join?"

"whether"

A screen suddenly appeared in front of Kearsarge. She stroked her chin and clicked 'Yes' without hesitation. 'Perhaps there's a solution.'
