The blood-stained door creaked open, and Leng Ran stepped out from inside. The sound of the waves crashed against her face. The door closed gently and disappeared.

She didn't enter the area with neatly arranged cells that Xie Jingbai had mentioned, but instead appeared in a wide, circular open space. Around the open space stood more than ten giant pillars, each a hundred meters tall, with layers of broken iron chains coiled around them, creating a very oppressive atmosphere.

Leng Ran walked to the edge of the circular platform and looked into the distance. There were six similar open spaces, all floating in a vast black ocean, only slightly different in shape, such as square, rhombus, and triangle.

"No wonder it's called Anwan Island... These seven prison islands must be the main part of the prison." Leng Ran looked around. "But how do we get out of here?"

There were no connecting passages between the seven cells. Leng Ran walked around the circular cell but couldn't find any way out. All he could see was a vast ocean.

The composition of this black ocean is unknown, but since it is something that can block the "seven deadly sins," it is best to avoid contact with it.

In desperation, Leng Ran tried to bring up the Star Wars menu, but all that popped up was a red warning that "You are outside the service area," and even the forced offline function was disabled.

Her cold silence belied the fact that she was... going to jail in disguise.

She recalled the time she was trapped in the apocalypse. How could history always repeat itself so strikingly?

The apocalypse? Right, during the apocalyptic mission, a guiding voice accompanied her. Perhaps... that person is not subject to the restrictions of the Star Wars service area?

Thinking of this, Leng Ran looked up at the sky and shouted, "System, I know you can hear me! What are the conditions for letting me out!"

no respond.

He coldly raised his middle finger to the sky: "Damn system, you're not really going to trap me here to die, are you?"

Suddenly, a loud noise came from the seabed, and the once calm sea surface began to shake violently. A huge, jet-black creature emerged from the water.

A dragon's head and a lion's body... This is a black Qilin!

Leng Ran had only heard of this creature in legends and stories; this was the first time he had ever seen a Qilin beast in person!

She immediately darted behind a giant pillar to hide herself, holding her breath and daring not to make any further moves.

According to the golden figure, the two prison guards, the God of Fairness and the God of Space, should have already left. So where did this black Qilin come from?

The official Star Wars warning flashed through my cold mind.

"While in prison, please remain quiet. If a prison guard is awakened, please sacrifice your life immediately."

Leng Ran's heart skipped a beat. So, this black Qilin is the sleeping prison guard that Star Wars officials were referring to?

Sacrificing her life... She's the only living thing in this godforsaken place. If she were to commit suicide in this state, who knows what would happen!

The black Qilin, which had already sensed Leng Ran's presence, slowly turned around, its pair of bright golden beast eyes suddenly fixing on Leng Ran. It ran across the black sea as if it were walking on solid land, not liquid.

Leng Ran's back was already soaked with cold sweat, and his brain was racing, trying to find the only way out.

As the black Qilin approached the circular open space, it leaped into the air, drawing a graceful arc before pouncing towards the group of pillars where Leng Ran was located!

Faced with such an invincible opponent, Leng Ran gritted her teeth and assumed a fighting stance: "Sacrificing my life is impossible. If you want my life, then let's see if you have the ability!"

As the black Qilin drew closer, its form visibly shrank rapidly, transforming into a black shadow that flew towards Leng Ran, who was on high alert. Leng Ran punched Leng Ran away, sending Leng Ran's head crashing into a nearby pillar with a crisp sound before it fell to the ground.

Leng Ran: ...?

Does this group of stone pillars still possess the power to seal the prison guards? What happened to that menacing Qilin beast from earlier?

She looked closely and saw a pure black kitten shake its head, get up from the ground, and look at Leng Ran with its golden eyes shining and full of confusion.

Seemingly sensing Leng Ran's resistance, the little black cat did not approach her rashly again, but stood there thinking for a while.

It seemed to have made a difficult decision, sitting obediently not too far from Leng Ran, its furry ears perked up, and tilting its head towards her.

"...Meow?"

My usually calm mind went blank for a moment.

Is this black Qilin trying to be cute with her?

Seeing that Leng Ran didn't react, the little black cat tentatively approached and rubbed against her ankle. Leng Ran squatted down with a puzzled look on her face, and her right hand involuntarily went to the little black cat's head and rubbed it a couple of times.

I have to say, it's fluffy and feels pretty good to the touch.

Leng Ran played a couple more rounds: "Little kitty, are you a prison guard here?"

"Meow~" The kitten shook its head.

He coldly pressed on, "No? Then how did you end up here?"

The kitten's eyes showed even deeper confusion, as if it couldn't understand why Leng Ran would ask such a question, but it still meowed a few times in response, and then incredulously covered its mouth.

Even though he's turned into a cat, surely he can still speak a human word!

The kitten squinted, its gaze filled with hostility as it looked at the sea. The primordial phantom gently put its finger to its lips, making a shushing gesture.

Leng Ran followed the kitten's gaze and saw only an empty, black ocean.

"What are you looking at, little kitty?" Leng Ran asked curiously. "Speaking of which, you have a pair of bright golden eyes. Are you also a god?"

The kitten nodded sullenly, then shook its head.

"You shouldn't be, otherwise, why can't you speak?" Leng Ran stood up. "Little Cat, do you know how to leave here?"

The kitten stopped meowing and transformed back into a majestic black Qilin. It then lowered its body in front of Leng Ran, gesturing for her to sit on it.

Leng Ran sat sideways on the broad back of the black Qilin, swiftly traversing between different cells. After passing the last cell, a black whirlpool slowly emerged on the sea.

Seeing the black Qilin desperately running towards the whirlpool, Leng Ran exclaimed in alarm, "Wait, you're not going to jump in, are you?! Is this water even safe to touch?!"

Ignoring Leng Ran's words, the black Qilin leaped and plunged into the sea with Leng Ran in its wake.
