After this round of selection, some people were eliminated, and now 44 people are left to proceed to the third stage.

They were traveling to the third level by airship, where the examinees could take a break.

Satoru Gojo is having some existential questions while hanging out with the main characters. Why can't he trigger a single side quest even when he's with the four main characters?

Is his luck really that bad? That can't be right. Aren't good-looking people and people who smile a lot supposed to have good luck?

His gaze lingered between Gon and Kurapika, who were the most likely to have side quests appear on their person.

It's been so long that he can't remember much of the plot of Hunter x Hunter, but he still remembers the goals of these two people.

Gon left Whale Island to take the Hunter Exam just to find his dad. Well, they've certainly figured out where Dad is going.

Kurapika is from the Kurta tribe, whose fiery red eyes are considered one of the seven most beautiful women in the world.

The red-eyed creature is extremely valuable, so the Kuruta tribe has always lived in seclusion in the deep mountains, avoiding the world.

However, the Kuruta tribe was eventually wiped out, and now he is the only remaining member of the Kuruta tribe.

His enemy is the Phantom Troupe. He took the Hunter Exam so that he could use the Hunter Association's intelligence department to find the Phantom Troupe's whereabouts after becoming a Hunter.

Kurapika's background is tragic, but no matter how tragic it is, it has nothing to do with Gojo Satoru.

He just wanted to get a side quest from Kurapika, but this was too difficult.

Then he turned around and ran to find Jitala Ku. Although there were no side quests while he was with Jitala Ku, he could at least get some snacks.

The main characters are all broke; none of them brought snacks. Killua isn't exactly broke, but he ran away from home and doesn't have much money on him.

When Gojo Satoru found Shutaraku, Hisoka, that pervert, was also there, and the two of them were playing Joker.

If you ignore the fact that both of them are cheating using Nen, the scene actually looks quite harmonious.

Nen is the power system in the Hunter world. Nen is a kind of life energy that exists in everyone's body.

Everyone has "qi" in their body, but the amount varies from person to person.

Those who can detect and utilize Nen abilities are called Nen users.

These two are really bored; they even cheat at a game.

"Hehehe~ Little Apple? Want to play a game together?

Hisoka looked at Gojo Satoru with a smile; he was quite interested in this boy.

"Click."

Jitara put down the playing cards in his hand and took out a card reader, placing it in front of Hisoka.

"He said you lost and have to pay up."

Gojo Satoru stared intently at Hisoka, wanting to see how much they were betting.

"Oh no, I lost again."

Hisoka's smiling face instantly turned into a round face as he took out his card and transferred one million Jenny to Jitaraku.

Gojo Satoru's eyes lit up; he had discovered a great way to make money. He was planning to buy Greed Island later, so making more money was definitely the right thing to do.

"Your stakes are one million jenny per round? I'll join in."

"Click."

Jitara put the card reader back, making room for Gojo Satoru.

"Yes, Little Apple, you can't cry if you lose!"

Hisoka suddenly became interested. He might not be able to beat Illumi even if he cheated, but that didn't mean he couldn't beat the little apple in front of him.

"You're the one who should stop crying because you lost."

Gojo Satoru looked at Hisoka with ill intent, intending to empty Hisoka's pockets.

"Come on, let's begin."

Half an hour later, Hisoka's face turned chubby again, and he glared angrily at Gojo Satoru.

"Oh, thank you so much for today. It's two hundred million jenny in total. Please swipe your card."

Gojou Satoru said with a smile, and Jitaraku took out a card reader and placed it in front of Hisoka, watching him transfer the money before putting it away.

"Little Apple is really amazing, no wonder he's Little Yi's brother."

Hisoka, now penniless, even spoke in a much more normal tone; the two brothers had won all the money he had on him.

"Hisoka, remember to call me next time you want to play games. I'm always ready to play."

Gojo Satoru felt that Hisoka still had some redeeming qualities; he was generous and didn't renege on his debts even when he lost. However, he had a flaw: he liked to cheat.

It doesn't matter, Hisoka's cheating won't help, he can't beat him anyway.

[Ding! Side Quest 2: Please collect a deck of Hisoka's playing cards.]

[Mission Reward: Energy Points.]

Gojo Satoru, who was about to leave, stopped and sat down again.

“Hisoka, let’s make another bet. If I win, you give me the playing cards; if I lose, I’ll give you ten million Jenny.”

Hisoka looked at Gojo Satoru with confusion. Had he heard correctly? Little Apple wanted his playing cards?

"No need for that. Since Little Apple wants playing cards, I can just give them to you."

Hisoka simply handed the playing cards to Gojo Satoru, since he couldn't win anyway, the result would be the same.

Thanks, I'll hang out with you again next time.

After taking the playing cards, Gojo Satoru turned and left. Hisoka is such a good person; he not only gave him money but also energy points.

The playing cards disappeared from Gojo Satoru's hand, and one million energy points were credited to his account.

Then he started thinking about this side quest. Hisoka's playing cards could be a side quest, so could Illumi's Nen nails be one too?

“Jitala, pick me up.”

Gojo Satoru opened his arms and said to Jitara Ku as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"Click."

Jitara bent down and picked up Gojo Satoru, thinking happily to himself how cute his spoiled little brother was.

The next second, Gojo Satoru pulled all the nails off his face, revealing Illumi's face.

Before Illumi could stop Gojo Satoru's actions, he slipped into an empty room with him. Someone had arrived outside.

"Xiao Jie, did you see anything just now?"

Killua's voice came from the corridor outside. He led Alluka and Gon together.

"No, Killua, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing, maybe I just misread it."

Killua's voice gradually faded away before Illumi turned his gaze back to Gojo Satoru.

"Wu, what are you doing?"

Illumi stared at Gojo Satoru with his large, lifeless eyes. His younger brother was too naughty; his nails were not for playing with.

"I didn't do anything."

Gojo Satoru said innocently, while still pulling the nails off Illumi's body.

Although Illumi was holding him, the nails were separated by a barrier, and they couldn't hurt him at all.

After all the nails were removed from Illumi's body, Gojo Satoru jumped down from his arms.

"I'm leaving, Ghana."

Illumi watched Gojo Satoru leave in silence, his mind replaying the thought that his younger brother really liked him, even collecting his nails.

[Ding! Host has collected Illumi's Nen Nails, triggering Side Quest 3.]

[Ding! Side Quest 3: Collect Illumi's Nen Nails.]

[Mission Reward: Energy Points.]

Gojou Satoru happily submitted Illumi's Nen Nail; this approach really works!
