After experiencing the simple life at the farmhouse, they now gather in Chu Mengran and Chen Dong's slightly cramped but cozy little apartment, sitting around a wooden square table piled high with snack bags, reminiscing about everything that happened during their holiday.

Inside, chairs were scattered haphazardly, much like their unrestrained youth, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere amidst the chaos.

Guo Miao sat in a chair, idly fiddling with an empty beverage bottle in his hand, the plastic bottle rolling and spinning between his fingers.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up like a shooting star in the night sky, and he excitedly suggested, "Hey! Today is the last day of the holiday, how about we go to a karaoke bar? I heard that a new one recently opened in the city, it's really popular, lots of people go there to have fun, I heard the sound system is amazing and the decor is very impressive."

As he spoke, he gestured wildly, waving his arms in the air like a conductor, his face full of barely suppressed anticipation, his eyes seeming to already see them singing their hearts out in the karaoke room.

Upon hearing this, Yu Qin's eyes instantly lit up like twinkling stars in the night sky, and she nodded eagerly in agreement: "Great! I've been wanting to go singing for a long time. It's a perfect opportunity to relax today. I'm so bored being cooped up at school every day. This is finally a chance to let loose!"

She turned to look at Chu Mengran, took her hand affectionately, and said in a slightly coquettish tone, "Mengran, let's go together, it'll definitely be a lot of fun. Maybe we can even discover our singing talents and become the 'Golden Voice' duo on campus."

Chu Mengran frowned slightly, a faint trace of sorrow appearing between her brows.

She was naturally conservative by nature, and in her mind, KTVs were dimly lit, crowded, and full of unknown risks and anxieties, which was not a place she longed to go.

She gently bit her lower lip, her face showing reluctance, but her voice was soft yet firm as she declined, saying, "I think I'll pass. I'm not used to those kinds of places. You guys go have fun, I'll stay home and rest, tidy up the house, and organize the photos I've taken these past few days. That'll be fine too."

Seeing this, Chen Dong gently reached out and tenderly grasped Chu Mengran's hand; the warmth of his palm seemed to transmit strength.

He patiently persuaded her, "Mengran, it's the last day of the holiday, let's all go and relax. KTVs these days are all very professional, just places to sing and have fun, not as complicated as you think. And it'll be fun with a bunch of good friends. Maybe you'll even find it quite interesting."

As he spoke, he looked at Chu Mengran with expectant eyes, hoping to persuade her to go with him.

Chu Mengran looked at Chen Dong, her eyes full of hesitation.

She understands everyone's desire to fully enjoy the last moments of their holiday, but their inner concerns are like a thick cocoon, difficult to break free from easily.

She bit her lip, thought for a moment, and then said firmly, "Dongzi, I really don't want to go. You guys go ahead, I'll wait for you to come back at home. I'd rather stay home quietly, prepare some hot tea for you, and wait for you to come back and share the joy."

Seeing Chu Mengran's resolute expression, Chen Dong knew that her mind was made up, so he didn't press her any further.

He gently patted Chu Mengran's head, the gesture intimate and natural, and said, "Alright then, stay home and be good, make sure the doors and windows are closed. We'll be back soon, and if you need anything, just call us anytime."

Chu Mengran smiled slightly, a smile as beautiful as a flower blooming in spring, and said to Chen Dong, "You guys go have fun, relax with Guo Miao and Xiao Qin. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine at home by myself."

Then he turned to look at Guo Miao and Yu Qin, his eyes full of sincerity, and said, "Have fun, sing away all the fatigue of the past few days."

So, Chen Dong, Guo Miao, and Yu Qin said goodbye to Chu Mengran and headed towards the KTV.

Along the way, Guo Miao was as excited as a cheerful little bird, chirping incessantly.

He would tell stories of jokes made by classmates at school and imitate their comical actions, and then he would excitedly speculate about the funny things that might happen in the karaoke room.

He even spontaneously imitated some singers' singing styles, his exaggerated expressions and off-key voices making Yu Qin laugh out loud. His clear and melodious laughter echoed through the streets.

Although Chen Dong wasn't as exaggerated as Guo Miao, he was also in a very good mood. He would laugh and joke with them from time to time, and occasionally chime in to share his opinions. His hearty laughter filled the surrounding air with vitality.

Upon arriving at the KTV, the neon lights at the entrance flashed, with red, green, and blue lights intertwining to illuminate the surroundings in a colorful display.

The place was bustling with people, and the posters at the entrance featured photos of popular singers. Their youthful faces were accompanied by the names of some of their hit songs, such as "Goodbye Kiss" and "Too Softhearted," which attracted the attention of passersby.

The three entered the hall, where the lighting was dim and various colorful light strips hung on the walls, shimmering with iridescent light, as if they were in a dream world.

The receptionist, dressed in a neat uniform and wearing a warm smile, quickly stepped forward and politely asked, "Welcome! How many people are in your party? What kind of private room would you like?"

Guo Miao stepped forward casually and said in a loud voice, "Just give us a small private room. We just want to sing, that's all."

The waiter skillfully operated the computer and quickly arranged a private room for them, then warmly guided them there.

Stepping into the private room, the space was not large, but it was decorated very warmly.

The sofa is a soft, dark green color and looks thick and comfortable.

There were samples of snacks and drinks on the coffee table, including sunflower seeds, popcorn, and soda.

A large screen hung on the wall, surrounded by audio equipment; the black speaker cabinets gleamed with a metallic sheen.

As soon as Guo Miao entered, he acted like a curious child, touching and looking at everything.

He first leaned closer to the speaker, carefully examining the complicated buttons, then fiddled with the microphone stand, and finally plopped down on the sofa, picked up the microphone, and shouted loudly at the screen: "Wow, this place is really great! Today I'm going to sing a few songs and sing out all the joy of the whole holiday."

Yu Qin excitedly sat down next to him, her fingers swiping rapidly across the song selection screen, her eyes glued to the screen as she chose her favorite songs.

She selected a few love duets, such as "I Understand My Heart" and "Choice," and then said to Guo Miao with a smile, "Miao Miao, let's sing a few duets and see who sings better."
