Reborn not to be a simp, the school beauty's whole family goes crazy
Chapter 202 Let's go to No. 5 Middle School
"As long as he's not in the same school as you, and he can serve as a warning to others so they won't dare to talk nonsense in the future, I'll turn a blind eye."
Upon hearing his father's words, Chen Dong's eyes lit up, and his smile became even more genuine.
She quickly replied, "Thank you, Dad! I knew you loved me the most!"
Chen Jianguo glanced at him, waved his hand, stood up, and walked towards the telephone in the living room.
He picked up the receiver, skillfully dialed several numbers, and finally found out the principal's home phone number, which he then called.
The call was quickly answered, and the principal's slightly tired yet respectful voice came from the other end: "Hello, who is this?"
Chen Jianguo cleared his throat and said in a steady and authoritative voice, "Principal, I am Chen Dong's father, Chen Jianguo."
"I'm sorry to bother you so late, but it's about the handling of Tao Hao's case."
"I thought about it, and Tao Hao is still young. It would be too cruel to expel him directly for making a mistake."
"Let's give him a chance to transfer to No. 5 Middle School, what do you think?"
The principal was visibly taken aback on the other end of the phone.
However, the principal quickly realized what was going on and hurriedly said, "Director Chen, it's really too kind of you to think this way."
"Don't worry, I have no problem at all. Everything will be done as you say."
Chen Jianguo nodded slightly. Although the principal couldn't see him, he still habitually replied, "That's good. Sorry to bother you so late. Thank you for your hard work."
After saying that, he hung up the phone.
Chen Dong stood aside and watched his father finish the phone call. A huge weight was finally lifted from his heart.
He stepped forward and said to his father with a smile, "Dad, thank you. I feel much more at ease now."
Chen Jianguo looked at his son, a rare gentle smile appearing on his face.
He patted him on the shoulder and said, "You better behave yourself at school from now on, and don't cause any more trouble."
Chen Dong nodded quickly and replied, "I understand, Dad. I will definitely study hard and not cause you any trouble."
The next morning, sunlight struggled to penetrate the thin clouds, casting wisps of light across the campus.
The principal arrived at the office early, looking slightly tired, and plopped down behind the large desk.
His fingers tapped rhythmically on the table unconsciously, his eyes revealing a hint of helplessness and deep-seated anxiety.
Just then, a knock on the door abruptly broke the silence inside.
The principal frowned slightly, cleared his throat, and called out loudly, "Come in."
The door was slowly pushed open, making a slight creaking sound.
Tao Hao walked in with his head drooping, like a defeated little rooster.
His eyes darted away, avoiding eye contact, his hands nervously clutching the hem of his clothes, his knuckles turning white from the force.
His parents followed behind him, both looking bewildered.
The moment I stepped into the office, I keenly sensed the unusual atmosphere in the air, tinged with a hint of unease.
Tao Hao's father broke the silence first, frowning and asking with a mixture of urgency and doubt, "Principal, why did you call us here in such a hurry? What happened?"
The principal quickly stood up, forcing a slightly stiff smile on his face in an attempt to ease the tense atmosphere.
He pointed to the chair next to him and said politely, "Please have a seat, and we can talk slowly."
After they sat down somewhat awkwardly, the principal slowly began to speak, carefully choosing his words: "It's like this, you've probably heard about some things that happened to Tao Hao at school."
“He had a conflict with Chen Dong from Class 6 a few days ago, and it escalated a bit. Now Chen Dong’s parents have given their opinion on how to handle the situation.”
Upon hearing this, Tao Hao's mother felt a jolt in her heart, as if an invisible hand had gripped her heart tightly.
Tao's mother's face turned deathly pale instantly. She quickly grabbed Tao Hao's hand, her grip so strong it felt like she wanted to crush her son's bones.
Then Tao's mother asked anxiously, "What's your opinion? My Tao Hao may be a bit naughty, but he hasn't done anything too serious, has he?"
The principal coughed lightly, trying to keep his tone calm and composed, as if that would soothe the anxious parents.
"Considering the children's young age, Chen Dong's father felt that expelling them directly was too cruel, so he suggested that Tao Hao transfer to No. 5 Middle School."
"What? Transfer schools?"
Tao Hao's father jumped up from his chair like a firecracker that had been lit.
His face flushed red, veins bulged on his neck, and his voice suddenly rose in pitch.
Mr. Tao nearly roared, "Why should I transfer my child to another school just because of a few words between the children?"
"This is so unfair! Tao Hao has been doing well at this school, why can he just transfer like that!"
Tao Hao's mother also stood up, her eyes reddening and tears welling up.
With a sob in her voice, she said, "Principal, we're doing so well at this school, how can you just transfer us like this?"
"If Tao Hao goes to No. 5 Middle School, he won't be familiar with the place and the people, and his studies will suffer. You have to stand up for us!"
As she spoke, she gently nudged Tao Hao, her tone tinged with reproach.
"What's wrong with you, kid? What kind of conflict did you have with that person?"
Tao Hao lowered his head and mumbled, his voice barely audible, "I just couldn't stand Chen Dong's arrogant attitude, so I said a few words offhand..."
"I didn't expect it to escalate this much."
The principal sighed helplessly, spread his hands, and looked like he couldn't help: "Please calm down, there's nothing I can do about this."
"That kid Tao Hao spread rumors and slandered Chen Dong's father in two classes at school, accusing him of embezzlement and bribery."
"Chen Dong's father is the deputy director of the Urban Construction Bureau. Many construction projects at the school have to go through his approval process. We really can't afford to offend him."
"You two should also understand my difficulties."
Tao Hao's father stared wide-eyed, his face filled with disbelief, as if he had heard a fairy tale.
"Just because his father is an official, our child is going to suffer? Is there no justice in this world? Do officials think they can do whatever they want now?"
However, after the principal's earnest and persuasive arguments, he knew that he couldn't fight city hall.
In the end, Tao Hao's family could only grit their teeth and accept the outcome with great resentment.
His clenched fist, with nails almost digging into his flesh, revealed his inner resentment.
But in any case, it's better than being fired.
The transfer date was set for the following day.
On the noon before I left, the sun was so hot it was almost blinding, as if it would scorch the ground.
The entire campus was shrouded in heat, making it feel particularly oppressive.
Tao Hao arrived alone, his steps heavy, at the door of Class 6.
