Colorful years

After two years of hard work at the grassroots level, Zhang Cong finally embarked on his journey home, returning to his familiar old place—the Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, where he continued to serve as the head of the news section.

However, things are different now than before. The news department is no longer the news and publicity department it used to be!

Zhang Congcai had only been working at the Dayongqiao Subdistrict Office for a year when the unique "small government, big society" organizational structure of Dayong City was forced to shut down due to difficulties in implementation and coordination.

Under pressure from both superiors and subordinates, municipal government departments had no choice but to reorganize their operations according to the principle of matching departments at different levels.

Speaking of Minister He, he has a special connection with Zhang Cong! It turns out that as early as the autumn of 1988 to the spring of 1992, Minister He served as the deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Xiangxi Prefecture Party Committee.

It just so happens that during this period, Zhang Cong and Minister He had a year-long working relationship. Perhaps it was because of that time of working together that they established a good working relationship and got along quite well.

Who could have imagined that, after all these years, they would meet again in the propaganda department of Dayong City, this time as superiors and subordinates. Such a wondrous coincidence is truly astonishing, and both Zhang Cong and Minister He themselves are genuinely delighted and excited.

After taking office, Minister He, based on Zhang Cong's suggestion, planned and produced the first promotional video since the establishment of Zhangjiajie City, "Today's Zhangjiajie".

"Today's Zhangjiajie" was produced in collaboration with Air China. The Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department was responsible for providing the creative concept and script for the promotional video, as well as arranging the crew's accommodation and transportation during filming. Air China was responsible for filming and producing the promotional video, which was then played on Air China's international and domestic flights.

This collaboration was a great success.

Minister He entrusted this glorious yet arduous task to Zhang Cong. Zhang Cong naturally dared not slack off; he knew the heavy responsibility he bore and understood that the success of this promotional video shoot would directly affect his future prospects and destiny within the Publicity Department. Therefore, he had to go all out, allowing no mistakes or slip-ups whatsoever.

Upon receiving the task, Zhang Cong immediately got to work. He personally spearheaded the project, and after several days and nights of continuous effort, they finally came up with two alternative creative solutions. Zhang Cong submitted both solutions to Minister He for review.

After repeated comparisons, the most novel, unique, and creative solution was finally selected.

Once the plan was finalized, the next step was to prepare for filming in earnest.

Minister He, in his capacity as the Party Secretary of Wuling University, arranged for the deputy director of the university's audiovisual education department to assist Zhang Cong in his work. The two accompanied three members of the Air China film crew for a month in Zhangjiajie City.

Zhang Cong tirelessly accompanied the film crew to various famous scenic spots and important service departments in Zhangjiajie to conduct on-site surveys and filming, striving to capture the most beautiful, moving, and breathtaking scenes.

Throughout the entire filming process, Zhang Cong remained on the front lines, personally directing and coordinating every aspect of the work. He not only had to ensure the quality and effect of the footage, but also constantly oversee the logistical support for the crew, including food, accommodation, and transportation. Despite being physically and mentally exhausted, he never slacked off or relaxed in the slightest.

After more than a month of intense filming and post-production, the promotional video "Zhangjiajie Today" was finally completed. When Zhang Cong presented this work, which embodied the hard work and sweat of him and the entire production team, to Minister He, his heart was filled with both trepidation and anticipation.

Hard work pays off. After watching the promotional video, Minister He smiled with satisfaction and gave him high praise.

Zhang Cong felt incredibly excited and proud when he learned that the promotional video would be played on Air China's international and domestic flights.

He knew that this was not only an affirmation of his personal work ability and efforts, but also a powerful boost to the tourism image and reputation of Dayong City.

He could almost see the expressions and eyes of passengers from all over the world, captivated and awestruck by the beauty of Zhangjiajie, as the promotional video played on the flight.

As expected, the promotional video caused a huge sensation after it was played on Air China flights. Passengers praised the beauty of Zhangjiajie, and Zhangjiajie quickly became a hot topic and the focus of attention.

With the promotional video's popularity, Zhang Cong and his news department gained widespread recognition. Zhang Cong knew that all of this was inseparable from Minister He's trust and support, as well as the hard work and joint efforts of the entire production team. Therefore, he cherished this hard-won honor and achievement even more, and became even more determined to continue his dedication to the cause of publicity.

In the days that followed, Zhang Cong also proactively planned and organized a series of creative and impactful promotional activities. These activities not only enhanced the reputation and visibility of Dayong City but also greatly enriched the spiritual and cultural lives of the people.

Sitting in his office, Zhang Cong would feel an indescribable surge of excitement and pride whenever he looked at the promotional poster for "Zhangjiajie Today" hanging on the wall.
