A bed that traverses countless worlds

The stone wall rippled like water as Lin Yu's bed slowly slid into it.

A strong sense of spatial distortion washed over Lin Yu, making him feel as if he were inside a washing machine drum, and the world spun around him.

When he came to his senses, he was back in the dark passage he had been in before.

"Phew, finally out." Lin Yu breathed a sigh of relief, stretched his muscles and bones, and felt the surging power within his body. The corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up slightly.

"Now, I'm a man with an ID card!" He clenched his fist. The power he gained from the core of the ruins filled him with confidence. He felt that he could now punch ten of his past selves.

Just as he was about to manipulate the magical bed to leave this hellish place, a maniacal laugh suddenly echoed through the passage, "Hahahaha! Power! This is my power!" The laugh was sharp and piercing, like fingernails scratching a blackboard, giving Lin Yu goosebumps all over his body.

"Holy crap, what's going on?" Alarm bells rang in Lin Yu's mind. This laughter didn't sound like something a normal person would make.

He immediately became alert, scanning his surroundings to try and find the source of the sound.

A figure suddenly appeared, rushing out from the depths of the passage at an astonishing speed, creating a gust of wind.

Lin Yu looked closely and realized that this was none other than David, the explorer he had met before.

At this moment, David no longer possessed the refined demeanor he had before.

His eyes were bloodshot, his hair was disheveled, and his clothes were tattered. He exuded a dangerous aura, looking like a madman who had just escaped from a mental hospital.

"Is this guy on drugs?" Lin Yu thought to himself. Before he could think any further, David had already rushed in front of him.

That speed was even faster than when Bolt was on performance-enhancing drugs!

"Lin Yu! Give me your power!" David roared, his voice hoarse and terrifying, like the howl of a wild beast.

Lin Yu felt a chill run down his spine as he sensed an immense pressure bearing down on him.

David has clearly been influenced by some kind of power within the ruins and has gone completely mad!

"David, calm down!" Lin Yu tried to persuade him, but David wouldn't listen at all. He suddenly reached out and grabbed at Lin Yu.

That hand was no longer a human hand, but had transformed into something resembling the claws of a wild beast, gleaming with a cold light.

"What the hell? Is this even reasonable?" Lin Yu's eyelids twitched, and he jerked the bed backward...

"It seems we have no choice but to fight!"

Lin Yu maneuvered the magical bed like a seasoned race car driver, skillfully dodging David's furious attacks in the narrow passage.

David's moves were completely haphazard, relying entirely on instinct and brute force, yet his speed and power were astonishingly strong.

He brandished his claws, each attack accompanied by a whistling sound, as if he wanted to tear Lin Yu and the bed to shreds.

Deep scratches were left on the stone walls on both sides of the passage, with gravel flying and dust filling the air.

"Damn, did this guy eat some fertilizer? He's so strong!" Lin Yu muttered as he dodged.

He dared not take David's attack head-on, after all, he was still in bed and unable to move around easily.

"Roar!" David let out a beastly roar, his legs slamming into the ground, and he shot towards Lin Yu like a cannonball, his claws aimed straight for Lin Yu's throat.

"Good timing!" A glint flashed in Lin Yu's eyes as he manipulated the bed to rise sharply, narrowly dodging David's fatal blow.

"That's it? I thought you were something special!"

After dodging the attack, Lin Yu stopped passively defending and began to take the initiative.

He channeled the power he obtained from the core of the ruins into his hands and slammed them out with a powerful palm strike.

"boom!"

With a loud bang, a powerful energy wave erupted from Lin Yu's palm, sweeping out like a shockwave and slamming into David's chest.

"Ugh!" David screamed as he flew backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily to the ground and raising a cloud of dust.

"That's it?" Lin Yu raised an eyebrow, a disdainful smile on his face.

"Looks like you're nothing special after all!"

As the dust settled, David slowly got up from the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

“You…” David’s voice was hoarse, like a broken bellows, “You actually…”

Lin Yu looked at David, a slight smile playing on his lips. "What? Not convinced? Let's go again!"

David, like a wounded beast, let out a low growl and pounced on Lin Yu again.

He was faster and stronger, his claws swung so fast they seemed to tear Lin Yu to shreds.

"Damn, is this guy cheating?!" Lin Yu cursed inwardly, maneuvering the bed left and right, narrowly dodging attack after attack.

Inside the passage, gravel flew everywhere and dust filled the air, as if a small earthquake had occurred.

Although Lin Yu was able to dodge, his heart grew heavier and heavier.

He didn't want to hurt David, after all, the other man's mind had only been affected by the power of the ruins.

However, if he doesn't fight back, his life will be in danger.

"Oh dear, what am I going to do?" he thought to himself as he dodged.

Suddenly, Lin Yu had a flash of inspiration and came up with a solution.

"Hehe, I've got it!" A sly smile crept across his lips as he thought to himself, "Since you like power so much, I'll let you experience it to your heart's content in your dreams!"

With a thought, Lin Yu activated the power of the magical bed to create an illusion.

In an instant, the surrounding environment changed; the dark passage disappeared, replaced by a magnificent, golden palace.

David, amidst this scene, stared blankly, seemingly forgetting Lin Yu's presence, and began to immerse himself in his own fantasy.

"Hahaha! I am the king of the world!" David stood in the center of the palace, laughing loudly as if he possessed supreme power.

He brandished his claws, pointing at the air as if commanding a vast army.

"Come on! My men, kill them all! Slaughter every single enemy!"

Lin Yu looked at David, who was lost in the illusion, and couldn't help but shake his head and chuckle.

"Tsk tsk, such imagination, it's a shame he's not writing novels." He maneuvered the bed, easily bypassing David, and headed deeper into the passage.

"That was a brilliant move!" Lin Yu thought to himself, secretly pleased with his own intelligence.

However, Lin Yu did not let his guard down.

He knew that this illusion could not trap David forever, and he had not yet completely left the ruins; there were still unknown dangers waiting for him ahead.

"I hope the exit is just ahead..." Lin Yu muttered to himself, manipulating the bed to speed up.

Suddenly, a glimmer of light appeared ahead in the passage...
