A bed that traverses countless worlds

Chapter 26 Near the Divine Artifact, Another Crisis Averted

The moment Lin Yu's fingers touched the rune gate, a powerful suction force pulled the three of them inside.

After a dizzying spin, they found themselves in a narrow passage.

Blue arcs of electricity flickered and crackled on the walls on both sides of the passage, inspiring awe and fear.

"Holy crap, what's going on now? Are they doing electrotherapy?" Kong Yang complained.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a jolt of electricity grazed his cheek, startling him.

A strange mist filled the passage, making people feel dizzy and disoriented.

"This fog is strange!" Lin Yu endured the discomfort and tried his best to stay awake.

He carefully maneuvered the system bed forward, afraid of bumping into the walls on either side.

Su Yao held Lin Yu's hand tightly, her eyes filled with worry.

"Yu Hao, watch out!"

Suddenly, a group of people appeared at the other end of the passage, led by Captain Zhou, whom they had met at the entrance of the ruins.

He walked over with a sinister smile, followed by several fully armed team members.

"Hey, isn't this Lin the Bed Master? What a coincidence!" Captain Zhou said sarcastically. "Well, did you find the artifact? If you know what's good for you, hand it over quickly, or you'll suffer some physical pain!"

"You're dreaming!" Lin Yu refused without hesitation.

"If you won't listen to reason, you'll have to suffer the consequences!" Captain Zhou's face darkened. "Brothers, charge! Take them down!"

"Wait!" Lin Yu suddenly said.

"Are you sure you want to make your move here?" Lin Yu smiled slightly, a sly glint in his eyes. "This place isn't exactly safe, you know." He pointed to the flickering arcs of electricity and the pervasive mist on either side of the passage.

Captain Zhou smiled contemptuously: "Stop playing tricks! You think you can scare me with these little schemes? Brothers, let's go!"

His men swarmed forward, unleashing a barrage of weapons at Lin Yu.

Lin Yu sneered and activated the system bed's defensive barrier.

With a loud "thud," a golden light shield firmly protected Lin Yu and the other two.

The attack landed on the light shield, creating ripples, but it couldn't budge it in the slightest.

"Rebound!" Lin Yu gave the order, and the special ability of the system bed was activated.

The attacks actually returned along the same path, flying back towards Captain Zhou's men.

"Ouch, holy crap!" "What the hell!" Screams of agony rose and fell as Captain Zhou's men were knocked over by their own attacks, crying out in pain.

Captain Zhou's face turned ashen; he hadn't expected Lin Yu to have this trick up his sleeve.

He roared, "Useless trash! Get out of my way!" With that, he personally made his move, thrusting a gleaming dagger straight at Lin Yu.

"A mere trick!" Lin Yu manipulated the system bed to move nimbly through the narrow passage, as slippery as an eel.

Captain Zhou's attacks missed repeatedly, and he was instead interfered with by the electric arcs and mist, almost injuring himself.

"Is this all the skill you have? You dare to come out and embarrass yourself?" Lin Yu mocked.

He seized the opportunity and, taking advantage of the fog, silently circled around to behind Captain Zhou.

Captain Zhou sensed something amiss behind him, turned around abruptly, and thrust his dagger behind him.

However, he came up empty-handed.

Lin Yu's figure appeared to his side like a ghost, and a swift attack went straight for his face.

"You..." Captain Zhou's pupils contracted sharply; it was too late to dodge...

Lin Yu smirked coldly: "Sorry, it seems you've stepped on my landmine..." Lin Yu's attack struck Captain Zhou squarely in the chest, the powerful impact sending him staggering back several steps. A sharp pain shot through his chest, and a trickle of blood escaped from the corner of his mouth.

"Cough cough..." Captain Zhou clutched his chest, his face pale, his eyes filled with resentment.

He never imagined that he would be defeated by a "cripple".

"Captain!" Upon seeing this, Captain Zhou's men immediately tried to rush up to help.

Seeing this, Kong Yang and Su Yao also stepped in front of Lin Yu without hesitation and engaged in a fierce battle with them.

Although Kong Yang didn't have Lin Yu's powerful cheat ability, he was still quite agile. With Su Yao's cooperation, he managed to hold off Captain Zhou's men for a time.

"Don't waste your energy, Captain Zhou." Lin Yu stood in front of Captain Zhou, his tone indifferent. "You've already lost."

Captain Zhou glared fiercely at Lin Yu, his eyes filled with resentment and hatred.

He couldn't understand how his meticulously planned scheme could have been defeated by a guy lying in bed.

"Yu Hao, keep it up!" Su Yao cheered for Lin Yu while fighting the enemy.

Her voice was clear and melodious, echoing in the narrow passage, like a clear spring flowing into Lin Yu's heart.

Lin Yu turned to look at Su Yao, and their eyes met, filled with understanding and warmth.

This scene fueled Captain Zhou's jealousy and fueled his anger.

"Hmph! So what if you win?" Captain Zhou sneered. "Divine artifacts aren't so easy to obtain!"

After dealing with Captain Zhou and his men, Lin Yu and the others continued forward along the passage.

At the end of the passage was an open space.

There, they finally saw the light of the divine artifact—a longsword radiating golden light, silently floating in the air.

However, a powerful energy shield surrounded the artifact, shimmering with dazzling light.

This protective shield, like an insurmountable chasm, separated them from the artifact.

“This…” Lin Yu frowned as he looked at the energy shield in front of him.

"It seems that obtaining the divine artifact is not so easy." Su Yao also realized the seriousness of the problem.

Suddenly, Lin Yu sensed something amiss. He whirled around and looked toward the entrance to the passage...

"It seems like something is coming..."
