He felt a dry throat, cracked lips, and difficulty breathing.

"Damn, this old man is serious!" Lin Yu couldn't help but complain. This wasn't a test; he was clearly trying to roast him alive!

The elder stroked his beard. "Only those who persevere to the very end will gain the qualification to enter the spirit realm."

"Hold on to the end? I'm not going to put up with him!" Lin Yu sneered inwardly, but on the surface he pretended to be anxious.

"What should I do? This desert is so hot, I'm afraid I won't be able to hold out for long." As he spoke, he secretly activated the bed's special function—space jump.

With a soft "hum," the space around Lin Yu distorted, and he instantly disappeared from his spot.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil in his heart.

"Young man, you do have some skills, but this is only the first hurdle. The tests to come will be much more difficult."

Lin Yu smiled slightly, his eyes sparkling with confidence.

"Bring it on, old man, I want to see what other tricks you have up your sleeve." A beam of light descended from the sky, shining on Lin Yu as if crowning him.

"The second trial..." The elder's voice was deep and powerful, "is about to begin." Su Yao excitedly waved her little fists and shouted, "Lin Yu, you're amazing! I knew you could do it!" Although her Alice still maintained a cold and aloof demeanor, the corners of her mouth turned up slightly, and a hint of barely perceptible admiration flashed in her eyes.
