A bed that traverses countless worlds

Chapter 202 Returning to the Origin: A Shocking Change, Demonstrating Strength to Break the Stalemat

Lin Yu pushed open the door, but what came into view was not the warm home he remembered, but a desolate and dilapidated scene.

The once towering skyscrapers are now just ruins, their steel skeletons twisted and reaching towards the gloomy sky like giant, withered claws.

The air was thick with dust and the smell of decay, which was nauseating.

"Holy crap! What's going on?" Lin Yu couldn't help but swear.

This was completely different from the world he remembered; it was as if he had experienced the end of the world.

He rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

He intended to follow the route he remembered to get home, but the sight before him made him hesitate.

The neighborhood where he used to live no longer exists; in its place lies a ruin where several mutated stray dogs forage for food, emitting eerie growls.

"Is this...is this still my home?" Lin Yu murmured to himself, his heart filled with doubt and unease.

He tried to use the abilities he had gained in the post-apocalyptic wasteland to sense his surroundings.

A powerful energy fluctuation came from not far away, making him feel a chill.

He cautiously approached the direction from which the energy fluctuations were coming and found a relatively intact building there, surrounded by sentries and patrolling soldiers.

These soldiers, dressed in uniform black uniforms and carrying advanced weapons, appeared well-trained and disciplined.

"It seems this place has already been occupied by some force," Lin Yu thought to himself, and did not act rashly.

He hid in the shadows and observed for a while, discovering that the soldiers' movements were very regular, and their patrol routes and shift changes were very precise.

He noticed that the soldiers' collar insignia were embroidered with a peculiar symbol, resembling a soaring eagle.

“Eagle…” Lin Yu silently memorized the symbol, a vague unease creeping into his heart.

He had never seen this symbol before, but his intuition told him that this force was not simple.

He decided not to provoke them for the time being, but to find another way to figure out what was really happening in the world.

He turned and left, disappearing into the shadows of the ruins.

Just then, a deep voice came from behind him: "Stop! Who goes there?"

Lin Yu turned around abruptly and saw two soldiers in black pointing their guns at him, the dark muzzles radiating a chilling killing intent.

A slight smirk played on his lips: "What? Are you all planning to invite me for tea?"

The soldiers clearly weren't buying it. One of them shouted sternly, "Enough nonsense! State your name! What are you doing, sneaking around like that?"

"Me? Just passing by." Lin Yu shrugged, looking relaxed.

But in his heart, he was plotting a way to escape.

He didn't take these two small fry seriously, but if they attracted more people, it would be troublesome.

"Just passing by? Do you think this is a place you can just pass by?" another soldier sneered. "I think you're a spy! Brothers, take him down!"

Two soldiers rushed forward and slammed the butts of their rifles down on Lin Yu.

Lin Yu dodged the attack with ease and sent one of the soldiers flying with a backhand punch.

"That's it? That's too weak!" Lin Yu curled his lip in disdain. "It seems that even the monsters in the post-apocalyptic wasteland are stronger than you."

The remaining soldier's expression changed drastically upon seeing this, and he immediately pulled out his communicator to call for backup: "Report! Intruders detected! Requesting backup! Requesting backup!"

"Tsk tsk, calling parents so soon?" Lin Yu shook his head and stretched his limbs. "Looks like I need to get some exercise today."

Soon, a large group of soldiers in black poured out of the building and surrounded Lin Yu.

A man who looked like an officer stepped forward, sized Lin Yu up and down, and said coldly, "Boy, who are you? How dare you trespass on our territory?"

"Your territory?" Lin Yu laughed. "When did this world become your territory? I remember this used to be my home."

"Your home? This is Eagle's territory now! If you know what's good for you, surrender obediently, or else..." The officer's tone was icy.

"Eagle?" Lin Yu repeated the name, a thought flashing through his mind as he recalled the symbol he'd seen on the soldiers' collar insignia. "So it was you..."

He took a deep breath, a sharp glint in his eyes: "I don't care if you're eagles or vultures, this is my home, and I will take it back!"

Before he finished speaking, Lin Yu moved like lightning, rushing into the crowd, his fists and feet flying, each move deadly.

He was a veteran of countless battles and had extensive combat experience; these soldiers were utterly no match for him.

He was like a tiger descending the mountain, unstoppable, and wherever he went, the black-clad soldiers fell to the ground.

"That's it? You think you can rule the world?" Lin Yu sneered. "Go home and wash up and go to sleep!"

"Who...who are you?" The officer looked at his men falling one by one, a look of terror on his face.

"Who am I? I'm here to end all of this." Lin Yu approached the officer step by step. "Tell me, where is your leader?"

The officer's face was deathly pale, his lips trembling: "You...you can't kill me..."

"Of course I won't kill you." Lin Yu's lips curled into a wicked smile. "I'll let you see with your own eyes how I destroy your 'Eagle'."

He grabbed the officer by the collar and lifted him up: "Lead the way."

Lin Yu, carrying the terrified officer, entered the Eagle Headquarters without any hindrance.

This so-called headquarters was nothing more than a slightly more intact unfinished building, with rudimentary furnishings and a post-apocalyptic scavenging atmosphere.

"Where is your leader?" Lin Yu kicked over the broken table in front of him, making the instant noodle box on the table jump.

The officer pointed upstairs, trembling, "On...on the top floor..."

Lin Yu tossed the officer aside like trash and went straight upstairs.

The henchmen along the way, seeing their leader being carried around like a chick, dared not step forward to stop him and scattered like birds and beasts.

On the top floor, a burly man with a face full of scars sat in an executive chair, leisurely swirling a half-empty bottle of red wine that he had somehow acquired.

"Oh, isn't this Lin Yu? I've heard so much about you!" The man put down his wine glass and said with a forced smile.

As Lin Yu looked at him, Ida's gentle smile suddenly flashed through his mind.

The cruelty of the post-apocalyptic wasteland made him cherish everything he once had even more.

He wants to restore the world to its original state and give Ida a bright future.

"Enough with the nonsense, Eagle, your era is over." A cold glint flashed in Lin Yu's eyes.

"You've got quite the nerve! You think you can take me?" The eagle sneered disdainfully, standing up from his chair, his muscles bulging and his aura imposing.

"Just me." Lin Yu sneered, his figure flashed, and he instantly appeared in front of the eagle, throwing a punch.

"boom!"

With a loud bang, the eagle's massive body flew out like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily against the wall.

"That's it?" Lin Yu clapped his hands, looking disgusted.

Which boss in the post-apocalyptic wasteland isn't a seasoned veteran with formidable strength?

Compared to them, this eagle is practically a little brother.

Having dealt with the eagle, Lin Yu returned to his former residence.

Although it is dilapidated, every plant and tree here is full of memories.

He was surprised to discover that some post-apocalyptic wasteland technology blueprints could still be used here.

This gave him hope for rebuilding his home, like a beacon in the darkness.

Standing atop the ruins, Lin Yu gazed into the distance, his heart filled with hope.

He knew this was just the beginning.

The real challenge is yet to come.

Suddenly, a cold wind blew by, and Lin Yu keenly sensed a powerful aura approaching.

"Looks like someone can't wait any longer..." he muttered to himself, clenching his fist.
