Chapter 86 The Nerve String Snapped

In the hotel room, Sun Jue lay drunk on the bed. He was breathing rapidly, his clothes were disheveled, his cheeks were flushed, and he kept tearing at his clothes.

He kept saying, "It's hot, so hot..."

Kong Xiufang thought it was Lin Junhui, so she quickly ran over. Since it was a huge soft bed, she could only climb on it and prepare to pat his face to wake him up.

But when she climbed up to him, she saw that it wasn't Lin Junhui, but a strange and handsome man.

Then she realized that perhaps it was another trap set for her by someone.

She quickly got up and got out of bed, but before she could even get down, the handsome man hugged her.

Kong Xiufang was startled and quickly tried to push the man away. But he was too heavy and pressed down on her, so she couldn't move him.

In this ambiguous and tense atmosphere, there was a rapid knocking on the door.

"Bang bang bang... Open the door, open the door quickly..."

Hearing the chaotic footsteps outside, Kong Xiufang felt that she had guessed correctly; she must have fallen for a trap.

They knocked for a short while, then stopped. A waiter came over with the keys and opened the door from the outside.

Several police officers rushed in as soon as the door opened. The owner and the waiter who opened the door were also there.

Inside the room, a handsome but dazed man lay on the bed, his shirt off and tossed on the floor.

Her face was flushed, and she was muttering something under her breath. Her hands were tied with shoelaces, and she was struggling desperately.

Kong Xiufang thought to herself, "Oh no, I really don't know how to explain this now."

One of the tall, young policemen shouted, "Don't move, police!" He then took out handcuffs, intending to use them to heat her and the man on the bed.

Kong Xiufang quickly covered her head with her hands and squatted down on the ground, explaining steadily and patiently.

"Officer, this is all a misunderstanding. I was tricked into coming here. Really, I'm a law-abiding citizen."

The tall policeman said, "Shut up, come with us to the police station and explain yourself properly!"

Kong Xiufang calmly followed the police out and said, "Officer, we were tricked into coming here, and I don't know this man. It seems like he's been drugged."

One experienced veteran policeman stood still, scanned the room with his eyes, and then waved to the younger policeman.

"Don't rush, there's something fishy going on here."

He looked at Kong Xiufang and asked, "Tell me in detail how you were tricked into coming here?"

Kong Xiufang then told her about receiving a strange letter inviting her here, which she initially thought was about her boyfriend Lin Junhui.

The old policeman carefully examined the man's condition on the bed, his brows furrowed.

He ordered the tall policeman to splash water on Sun Jue to wake him up. It took him quite a while to regain consciousness.

Just then, a commotion came from outside the door, and Lin Junhui was seen being dragged over by several people.

So, Lin Junhui had come too. The old policeman stared intently at Lin Junhui. "And who are you? What are you doing here?"

Lin Junhui recounted the incident. He said, "Hello, officer, I'm Kong Xiufang's boyfriend. This afternoon, I went to find my girlfriend, but her roommate said she received a letter and rushed off. She said she went to a hotel near the factory, and I was very worried about her. I searched almost every hotel nearby before finally finding this place."

After hearing this, the old policeman ordered his men to untie Kong Xiufang and Sun Jue.

Lin Junhui looked remorseful and apologized to Kong Xiufang. "Xiufang, I'm sorry, I'm late."

Kong Xiufang said gently, "It's not too late. I'm sorry to have worried you. It's nothing serious. I was just framed again."

Sun Jue gradually came to his senses and, after learning the whole story, looked gratefully at Kong Xiufang and the old policeman, thanking them for stopping his impulsive behavior in time.

Kong Xiufang showed the police the letter she had received, which read: "Come to the Fairy Realm Hotel, room 106. Lin Junhui has been poisoned after drinking too much. If you don't come, you can expect to collect his body!"

The police officer put away the evidence and asked Sun Jue, "What happened to you? How did you get here?"

At this point, there was nothing he didn't understand. Deng Yiyao must have gotten him drunk and then arranged for Kong Xiufang to meet him, so that she could ruin the girl and cut off her contact with him.

It seems this girl and Deng Yiyao must have had some past conflict.

Thinking of this, Sun Jue stopped hiding it and said that he and his girlfriend Deng Yiyao went out drinking together, and she deliberately got him drunk...

He never imagined that such a beautiful girl could be so malicious. She wanted to use him to ruin someone else.

He was very disappointed and heartbroken by Deng Yiyao, realizing he had fallen for such a vicious girl and never wanted to see her again.

After explaining the situation, the police immediately went to Hu Jinhua's house to arrest and interrogate Deng Yiyao.

Deng Yiyao had barely arrived home when the police showed up at her door. Terrified, she hid in the closet, too afraid to make a sound.

When Hu Jinhua saw the police arrive, she was startled and quickly led them to Deng Yiyao's room, explaining, "Officers, my daughter hasn't come back yet! I don't know what she's done wrong?"

The middle-aged policeman said, "She filed a false report, deliberately framing someone for prostitution. Her character is extremely bad, and we need to take her back to assist with the investigation."

After hearing this, Hu Jinhua sat down on the ground and burst into tears, crying, "My daughter, how could you be so foolish..."

The police looked into the house again, and seeing nothing amiss, left. As they left, they warned, "If she returns, contact us immediately. Confess and you'll be treated leniently; resist and you'll be punished severely, understand?"

Hu Jinhua quickly nodded, "Yes, yes, yes... I understand."

After saying that, the police officers left. Hearing that there was no more noise outside, Deng Yiyao quickly came out of the closet to get some fresh air.

Hu Jinhua slapped her across the face. "Tell me, what can I say about you? You don't have a good life, you're always causing trouble for others. What's the use? They live their lives just fine, but you always end up getting yourself into trouble."

Hu Jinhua, enraged, continued to yell, "What's so great about that Lin Junhui? He's a penniless pauper with nothing but a pretty face. The Sun Jue I introduced you to is such a good person! You don't know how to cherish him; you'll regret it later."

After saying that, he ignored her and angrily turned around and slammed the door shut. In his anger, he used too much force, and with a crash, the glass on the door shattered, scattering shards all over the floor.

Deng Yiyao sat on the ground, crying and shouting. When she was tired of crying, she remembered the absurd and ridiculous things she had done over the past year.

One thing after another, she failed, and in doing so, she harmed her brother and herself. The more she thought about it, the angrier and more upset she became. Her heart swelled wildly like a balloon about to burst, and her thoughts expanded uncontrollably as well.

With a "thud," it was as if a nerve string had snapped.

Deng Yiyao got up, knelt down in front of the door, picked up a shard of glass with her delicate hand, and slashed her wrist hard...
