Haunted houses are usually a popular attraction at amusement parks during Halloween and are highly anticipated by visitors.

The haunted house you and Qin Che are visiting today is modeled after an abandoned castle.

"A castle? Hmm, that's your style..." As soon as he stepped into the haunted house, Qin Che took off his sunglasses, folded them neatly, and stuffed them into the inside pocket of his shirt. Then, he naturally took your hand and walked into the depths of the haunted house with another group of 10 tourists.

The dim lights flickered and swayed, as if they might go out at any moment, and an eerie atmosphere swept over you like a tide, instantly enveloping you.

On the wall, "blood" was slowly flowing, appearing and disappearing in the dim and unstable light, creating a chilling atmosphere.

"Are you scared?" Qin Che tilted his head slightly and whispered in your ear.

When he felt you gripping his hand tightly, he pulled his arm closer and gently drew you into his embrace, offering you a sense of security with his broad chest.

"Don't underestimate me. I'm not even afraid of homeless people, let alone these fake ones..." You raised your chin, trying to appear calm, but before you could finish speaking, reality slapped you in the face.

"what!!"

"Ahhh!"

"what!"

In the dark swimming lane, several "zombies" suddenly leaped out from a corner, baring their fangs and claws as they pounced on your small group.

Its movements are lifelike, and its expression is ferocious; the makeup clearly took a lot of effort to create.

You were initially just startled by the sudden "attack," and your body instinctively trembled.

But then, the high-decibel screams of other tourists behind you, sharp and unusual, assaulted your eardrums again, giving you a second fright.

Your shoulders jerked up abruptly, and your hands instinctively gripped Qin Che's arm tightly.

"Holy crap! They're scarier than zombies..."

Qin Che was amused by you. Just as you were about to be bumped by the panicked other tourists, he swiftly reached out and pulled you into his arms, holding you tightly, while whispering, "Hold me."

Meanwhile, in the darkness unseen by others, black energy particles surged silently, subtly "repelling" two other tourists who were rushing towards him.

"what!"

"Ugh! What the hell is this now?!"

"..." If you hadn't been sure you came in with them, you would have almost thought they were shills hired by the haunted house.

Startled by their actions, you instinctively tightened your arms around Qin Che again, nuzzling your head against his chest. Qin Che chuckled and gently pressed your head back down.

Realizing what you were doing, you immediately tried to justify yourself: "Qin Che, don't misunderstand, I wasn't scared, I was just looking for an opportunity to take advantage of you..."

"Yes, I know." Qin Che's deep, smiling voice came from above your head. He nodded slightly, as if to say, "Whatever you say is right," he understood.

"Oh my god! That's terrifying! These zombies are so realistic!! I think something touched me just now! It scared me to death!" A woman's voice, trembling noticeably, broke the brief silence.

The boy next to her, presumably a companion who had come with her, quickly chimed in with concern, "If you're scared, just hold my hand. I'll lead the way." As he spoke, he took a step forward, striking a pose as a protector of a flower.

"No, I can walk by myself." The girl didn't seem to appreciate it, her tone stubborn.

She glanced in the direction you and Qin Che were going, then reached out and pulled another girl who was with you, saying, "You lead the way, we'll follow behind."
