Her hand climbed up his face again, kneading it with the fruit juice.

"Phew...it's finally covered."

Qin Che's deep voice rang in your ear: "You're almost disfigured."

"It's alright, anyway..." You raised your hand and traced a few lines on his cheeks, the areas where the dragon scales used to cover them. Your gaze was fixed intently on Qin Che's face, and you said in a somewhat forceful tone, "I can see your original face all by myself..."

Qin Che chuckled softly, pinching your nose lightly with his jam-covered fingertips: "Domineering..."

"Ah! Qin Che!!!!! You ambushed me again!!!!!"

.......

As night deepened, sounds of preparations for a bonfire party filled the air.

Seeing that you and Qin Che had wiped their faces clean, I decided to go out for a stroll again.

The guide called you to a stop and handed you a small, delicate pouch.

"Gentlemen, this is a gift from the grassland to you. It is a tree species unique to our area."

The guide pointed into the distance: "There's a grove of trees to the east. If you want to take a walk, you can go there."

"Okay, thank you..." You politely thanked the guide while holding the small brocade pouch in your hand.

Then we walked toward the grove of trees that wasn't too far from you.

Qin Che raised his hand and tapped your forehead, his tone slow: "You've been frowning for ten minutes. What's troubling you so much?"

You sighed softly and put the tree seeds back into the brocade pouch: "Do you think these seeds will really survive if planted in the sky?"

Qin Che turned his gaze to your hands: "Anyway, you won't survive in N109."

“The soil and climate in Linkong are so different from here, and I have no experience in planting trees. What if they don’t grow well…” You sighed again, “Wouldn’t that be a waste of the gift…”

Qin Che reached out and touched the branches drooping in front of his eyes: "If you're worried they won't grow well, then leave them in the most suitable place."

You looked up at the lush trees all around and understood Qin Che's meaning.

"Let's plant it here, as proof that we were here."

Qin Che spoke casually, yet his words stirred ripples in your heart.

Your eyes sparkled as you stared at his face, your initial disappointment from worrying about the plant's poor growth instantly vanishing: "Qin Che, has anyone ever told you that you're actually quite..." Your eyes darted around as you quickly searched your mind for a word to describe your current state, "Poetic!"

Qin Che curled one corner of his mouth and chuckled softly, "Has anyone ever told you that you're quite creative?"

"Oh, don't be so quick to deny it. Look, now you're showing a side of yourself that you only show to me."

Qin Che raised an eyebrow, his tall frame leaning slightly towards you.

"You've known me for so long, and you're only noticing now?"

Staring into his fixed gaze, many images of being with him suddenly flashed through your mind.

Just as you were lost in thought, Qin Che spoke again: "What aspects of me are you thinking of with that expression?" His words were clearly teasing.

"I remembered a lot. I thought about it carefully, and it seems to be true..." You bent a finger and gently tapped your chin. "The fearsome leader of the Dark Point, all his gentleness and tenderness, he gave to only one person."
