You immediately understood what he was talking about.

You shifted your body down a bit, grabbed the blanket, and hid inside.

Seeing that you were hiding like a coward again, Qin Che chuckled and patted the half of your head that was sticking out: "Hiding under the covers won't help. I've remembered everything you said."

"I don't understand what you're saying, I'm going to sleep." You threw back the covers and glared at him.

Qin Che rolled over and lay down on his side, propping his head up with one hand and tidying the blanket with the other: "Oh, you're not trying to escape. You're going to sleep. With your eyes so wide open, how can you sleep looking at me?"

"Can't I even look at you?! Even if I want to sleep, I can't just fall asleep right away. There's always a process involved."

"Then tell me, how can I fall asleep?"

"Sleep with me." You murmured towards Qin Che, grabbed the corner of the blanket with one hand, and spread the blanket to "swallow" Qin Che in as well.

As if anticipating your movement, Qin Che simply pulled the blanket up a little more to make sure you were peeking out, then said leisurely, "Haven't I been with you the whole time? Do you know what time it is? According to my biological clock, this is the start of the day. Ever since I started looking for you, it's always been at your appointed time."

"That's really too much for you. How about I stay up with you a little longer today..." You leaned closer to him, pulled one of his arms down, and put it under your head. "Hmm... I don't know if it's because of the coffee I drank this afternoon, but I can't sleep at all. I'll keep you company."

"Since you can't sleep, let me tell you a story."

"Okay, okay, go ahead and tell me." You placed your hand back on his warm chest, your face full of anticipation.

"It's probably not an interesting story, just something I said casually."

"It's okay, I love listening to everything you say." You said with a fawning expression.

"It happened in this castle. Cover yourself with the blanket and close your eyes."

Qin Che's voice was deep and resonant as he spoke slowly and deliberately.

"The castle was once shrouded in a thick fog. Only on one day each year would the fog dissipate, revealing the castle's true appearance."

"Really? It seems to have that feel to it. This castle is really good for discovering something." As you spoke, you thought for a moment while drawing circles on his chest with your finger.

He grabbed your mischievous little hand and continued, "How would I know if it's true or not? It's what the old folks who lived around here said. Do you want to hear more?"

"Listen, listen, continue." You were dissatisfied with his restraint and forcibly pulled your hand away.

Since you're not allowed to draw circles, you can go somewhere else.

Qin Che glanced down at you and said, "A girl got lost in the forest. On this day, the thick fog cleared, and she saw the castle and knocked on its door."

"Someone's come to open the door? Is this a fairy tale? Is it the butler in the castle, or a handsome prince?" You start to let your imagination run wild.

"The prince opened the door?" He chuckled softly. "You'll be disappointed. There's no one in the castle; the girl has taken up residence here."

"Ah! Nobody's here! That girl is really bold, she just moved in like that?"

Qin Che glanced at the truly carefree person in his arms, who still had the nerve to criticize others.

"That day, as the girl was preparing to go to sleep as usual, the fire in the fireplace suddenly burst into flames."
