Jia She was so excited about his plans for the antique shop that he didn't fall asleep until midnight last night. He barely got up this morning to pay his respects and then went back to sleep. He didn't get up until almost noon, and then he wanted to stroll over and have lunch with his son and nephew.

Just as he reached the door, he heard his father's furious voice demanding that someone bring that wretched child over. Jia She was startled, wondering who had angered his father again. His father's injuries had just healed, and he couldn't afford to get angry. Thinking this, he quickly strode inside.

Upon entering the room, he saw his mentally challenged younger brother still sitting there, his eyes filled with panic and pity as he approached. Jia She felt even more that his brother was still so dull-witted; how could he not even try to comfort his father when he was so angry? What good was looking at him?

Jia She quickly came over and patted Jia Daishan on the back, saying, "Father, what's wrong? Who upset you? Tell me, and I'll get revenge for you."

Then he said to Jia Zheng, "You shameless idiot, our father is so angry, and you're still sitting here looking at me. What are you looking at?"

Jia Zheng watched his brother jumping around, one minute talking about himself and the next about avenging their father. He looked at his brother with even more sympathy, stood up, and thought to himself that if their father were to go too far, he would have to stop him.

When Jia She saw Jia Zheng obediently stand up, he was about to turn around and ask which fool dared to anger his father. But before he could turn his head, Jia Daishan kicked him to the ground.

Jia She was completely stunned. What happened? What's going on? Why did he suddenly kick him?

It seems I came at the worst possible time, arriving just when my father was angry, and now I'm taking it out on him.

He quickly knelt down and said, "Father, who made you angry? Your son will chop him up right now to avenge you."

Jia Daishan, his face flushed with anger, pointed at his son, who was about to chop someone up, and said:

"Then you should chop yourself up."

Jia She was baffled. What was wrong with his father? How could he say such things about him?

Seeing the defiant look in his eyes, Jia Daishan wanted to kick him a few more times.

Jia Zheng quickly calmed his father, who was about to explode with anger, and then whispered to Jia She:

"Father knows about what happened yesterday, elder brother."

Jia She shuddered violently, then looked at Jia Zheng with accusing eyes and said:

"Didn't you say you wouldn't tell?"

Before Jia Zheng could speak, Jia Daishan's foot came over again and kicked Jia She hard in the buttocks.

"You bastard! Who's the father here, me or you! You're trying to stop me from telling you. Are you afraid I'll find out and throw you out of the Jia family for your arrogance!"

Hearing this, Jia She was both frightened and a little aggrieved, and immediately said:

"Those things weren't done by our son. How could he have the guts?"

Jia Daishan, helped by Jia Zheng, sat back down in a chair and said:

"You should be glad you're a coward. You didn't dare to do such a thing, otherwise even if you were my son, I would still be cleaning up your family today."

Seeing that Jia Daishan was no longer as furious as before, Jia She became slightly bolder and tried to crawl closer to his father, but was afraid of being kicked if he got too close. So he estimated the distance and silently moved back a little.

He thought he was being careful and discreet. Little did he know that Jia Daishan had seen through his every move. On one hand, Jia Daishan lamented how his spineless son would ever dare to do such a thing in the future, causing someone's family to be ruined over a few fans. His own mother had left him all that good stuff; he could have anything he wanted. On the other hand, Jia Daishan was relieved that he hadn't died, and that the boy could still be saved.

Jia She said:

"Father, I really didn't know I would be so bold as to do such a thing. Even if you gave me a few more lives, I wouldn't dare. I promise to stay far away from anyone with the surname Shi from now on."

Jia Daishan took a sip of tea, and the rage he had felt upon hearing the news subsided somewhat. In truth, he didn't hold much hope for the future of his two sons; just look at the state of the Ningguo Mansion! And without his own Rongguo Mansion, he feared it wouldn't fare much better.

He glanced at his foolish son and sighed inwardly, thankful for Hu'er, this precious lucky star. Otherwise, if he had died without knowing why, the Jia family would truly be doomed.

Jia Daishan sighed and said:

"You're lucky, I can't compare!"

Jia She didn't understand what his father meant, but he could clearly sense the change in his father's attitude. He hurriedly said obsequiously, "Father, look, I'm changing my mind. Hu'er suggested I open an antique shop, and I think it's feasible. What do you think, Father?"

Jia Daishan said:

"Since you think it's feasible, then do it properly and stop being so irresponsible. Your son is all grown up now, are you expecting him to support you in the future?!"

Jia She hurriedly smiled and said:

"Dad, I'll buy you things when I earn money in the future."

Jia Daishan was secretly pleased, but still laughed and scolded:

"Your father doesn't need anything from you. As long as you're doing well and living a down-to-earth life, that's all that matters."

Seeing that the atmosphere had eased, Jia Zheng said:

"Father, let my elder brother get up. It would be bad if he hurts his knee."

Jia Daishan wondered how long it had been, and if his knees were made of dough. He was happy that his two sons were close, but when he looked up, he saw his simple-minded son staring at him expectantly.

Jia Daishan said casually, "Did I hold him down and prevent him from getting up?"

Jia She immediately stood up and said, "Thank you, Father."

Jia Daishan looked at Jia She and said:

"What's wrong? Ask me first, and if that doesn't work, talk to your wife. She's a smart woman."

Jia She understood what his father meant; he truly disliked his lack of intelligence. He opened his mouth and said:

"Dad, I'm your son, how could I not be smart!"

After saying that, he thought for a moment, and realized that his wife was truly clever, both beautiful and intelligent. Hehe.

Looking at his foolish expression, Jia Daishan wanted to kick him again, but waved his hand and said:

"You and Zheng'er go and bring my two little grandsons back for dinner. It's no big deal if you go hungry, but don't let my two little grandsons go hungry."

Jia She and Jia Zheng followed their servants to search for the person. On the way, Jia She seriously accused Jia Zheng of breaking his promise, saying that he had said he would not tell his father, so how did his father find out?

Jia Zheng also said aggrievedly, "Brother, I didn't say it on my own initiative, Father asked me."

Jia She looked around warily and whispered:

"You say Hu'er is destined for greatness, do you think our father has that ability now too?"

Jia Zheng looked at his not-so-bright eldest brother and said:

"It was because Pearl said today that you wanted to buy him candy that Father asked."

It was definitely because of Jia Zhu's words that Jia She stopped pursuing the matter. Wasn't it because he said he would buy candy for his nephew, and his nephew liked his uncle, that he was happy to go out and show off?

After thinking for a moment, he asked again, "Why does Dad say I'm lucky? Well, hehe, I really am quite lucky."

Jia Zheng glanced at his elder brother and calmly uttered a hurtful remark.

"That's because our father felt he couldn't rely on his son, while his elder brother could."
