Jia Hu thought those people had come looking for him, so he quickly hugged the tree tightly, pressing his body against it, not daring to move at all.

Jia Hu remained motionless on the tree, trying to slow his breathing and calm his wildly beating heart.

Jia Hu looked down through the gaps in the leaves at the firelight, his heart filled with anxiety. These people were truly fearless; they set a fire and didn't even bother to run away. He hoped they were just passing by, otherwise, if they ran after the fire reached them, he wouldn't be able to escape.

Jia Hu noticed from afar that the people coming were different; there were more of them than those on the mountain.

As the people walked, they kept calling out. Upon closer listening, he realized it was his own name, and Jia Hu was overjoyed that someone had come to rescue him.

Overwhelmed with joy, Jia Hu choked up and didn't answer immediately.

As the others approached, Jia Hu saw that it was Situ Yi.

Jia Hu then burst into tears. The sudden sound of a child crying in the desolate wilderness sent chills down everyone's spines. They immediately raised torches and surrounded Situ Yi to protect him. Could there be some evil spirit in this deep mountain forest?

Situ Yi raised his hand to signal the guards to be quiet, then listened carefully and asked:

"Is that you, Hu'er?"

Jia Hu then found his voice and said, choking back tears:

"Little Imperial Uncle".

Situ Yi was overjoyed.

"Hu'er, don't be afraid, your little royal uncle is here. Where are you now?"

The guards were overjoyed; they had found the young master!

"Little Imperial Uncle, I'm in the tree."

Jia Hu suddenly relaxed, only to feel weak in his limbs.

Up in the tree, Situ Yi heard the sound coming from the big tree beside him. Holding a torch, he looked up at the tree and saw eyes peeking out from among the leaves, eyes glistening with tears like those of a frightened little animal.

Situ Yi breathed a sigh of relief; they had found Jia Hu.

Situ Yi laughed and coaxed:

"Hu'er, don't be afraid, we're here to save you. Slide down the tree slowly, and I'll catch you from below."

When Jia Hu saw familiar faces, he couldn't hold back anymore and started sliding down the slope while crying. Situ Yi stayed by his side, comforting and encouraging him to slide slowly.

Jia Hu was so weak that he couldn't hold onto the tree when he slipped halfway down and fell down. Situ Yi and the guards were shocked and immediately went to catch him.

Fortunately, he was already almost sliding down and not far from the ground when Situ Yi caught him.

Jia Hu hugged Situ Yi's neck and cried his heart out. He was having such a hard time. Why was it always him? It was just too hard!

Situ Yi patted him and comforted him, feeling sorry for Jia Hu who had experienced so many dangers at such a young age. He was also angry that he had failed to protect Jia Hu, even though he had promised to do so.

Only when Situ Yi hugged Jia Hu did he see that Jia Hu's clothes were tattered and torn, and that there were various small wounds on his body and face.

Situ Yi took off his outer garment and wrapped it around Jia Hu, refusing the guards' offer to take Jia Hu. He carried Jia Hu himself, and under the guards' protection, walked down the mountain.

Because of the wildfire, the main group guessed that Jia Hu should be here, and they all rushed over. When they saw the prince holding Jia Hu, they breathed a sigh of relief.

With so many people watching, Jia Hu felt a little embarrassed and wanted to get down, but her legs were too weak to support her weight.

Jia Hu could only say dryly that those people set fire to the mountain and that the firebreak needed to be cleared, otherwise all the mountains here would be destroyed.

Many people arrived and, following Situ Yi's orders, cleared the firebreaks and did their best to extinguish the fire.

At this moment, Jia Daishan and Jia Daihua also rushed over. Seeing Jia Hu in the twelfth prince's arms, they rushed over.

Jia Hu immediately hugged his grandfather's neck and couldn't help but cry again. Only then did Jia Daishan's blood flow normally. Jia Daishan held his grandson with deep regret. He shouldn't have brought his grandson out, which led to Hu'er suffering such a disaster. He didn't want his grandson to be too smart; he only wanted his grandson to be safe, healthy, and free from illness and disaster.
