After Li Shuchen finished writing, he wrote the words "Rich Girl" in the lower left corner of the paper.

When night falls and no one is looking, it is scattered through the window; a sudden gust of wind blows it away, and no one knows where it goes.

Li Shuchen went to bed; she hadn't slept well this morning and needed to go to bed early tonight.

The next day, I slept until I naturally woke up. I slept well, felt refreshed, and was in a good mood. I got dressed and went downstairs.

The first floor was packed with customers, each holding a piece of paper and discussing what had happened the day before.

Many people also asked where Manager Xu, Li Shuchen, was and when he would be coming to the inn.

Manager Xu replied, "Boss, sometimes she comes, sometimes she doesn't. Meeting her depends on fate."

The guests all sat in the reception room, chatting and waiting for Li Shuchen, hoping they'd be lucky enough to meet her. Li Shuchen now had quite a few fans.

Li Shuchen scanned the guests in the reception room, paying particular attention to the table with the four girls.

"Miss Li is so clear-headed. Everyone else was led astray by Wang Ergou's pitiful act, but she didn't. Instead, she reminded everyone."

"Indeed, I think Wang Ergou's ex-wife is also sober-up; she didn't go back with Wang Ergou."

"To be honest, it was Wang Ergou who was too cunning. If she hadn't been sober, she would have fallen into his trap."

"I want to be such a clear-headed person in the future, not believing men's sweet talk, and always keeping myself happy."

Upon hearing this, Li Shuchen turned around with satisfaction to look at his handsome little horse.

He picked up a brush and started brushing Li Wanbai's fur, singing as he did so.

"I have a stubborn little horse that I never ride, but I'm in a good mood today, so I'll brush its fur."

The brushing was beautiful and smooth, the brushing skill was excellent, but somehow, it splashed water all over me!

Looking at himself covered in water droplets, Li Shuchen shouted, "Li Wanbai, what do you mean by this? I was trying to brush your fur for you, and you splashed me with water. Is that appropriate?!"

Li Wanbai: "Hiss~~~", you called me a stubborn horse, so what if I splash you with water?

Li Shuchen threatened, "Do you still want to eat Apple? Make that hissing sound again and let me hear it."

Li Wanbai lowered her head and ate, no longer daring to hiss.

Seeing that Wanbai had given in, Li Shuchen got up to get her an apple, cut it into pieces, and placed it in front of her.

Wanbai munched away, grunting and munching.

Seeing how happily Wan Bai was eating, Li Shuchen decided to buy some pastries as a reward for herself for making such a good dish.

I went to Taipei City and bought a bag of coconut milk jam cakes. I was happily eating them on my way back to the guesthouse.

A girl suddenly appeared on the street and almost knocked over her snack. Li Shuchen looked up at the scene in front of her.

A middle-aged man, looking impatient and rolling his eyes, shoved a young woman, muttering, "Go, go, hurry up and leave, we've already hired all our staff."

The girl looked a little embarrassed and said softly, "But there's a job posting here, how come it's full already?"

Upon hearing this, the man ripped the notice off, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it away, saying casually, "I forgot to tear it down."

He then turned and went inside.

The little girl's face turned bright red, whether from embarrassment at the blunder or something else, it was hard to tell.

Chu Xia stared blankly at her toes; this was her fifth rejection, and all the employers gave the same reason.

Just as Li Shuchen was about to leave, he heard a passerby at the nearby tea table staring at the young girl and saying, "She's so fat, and she doesn't even try to lose weight. She's really ugly. She should stay home instead of making a fool of herself."

Passerby B: "Besides, she's so fat, she must eat a lot. What boss would dare hire her? She doesn't earn as much as she eats. If I were the boss, I wouldn't hire her either."

Passerby C: "Hahaha, look at her, she's so fat she looks like a pig, no one will ever marry her."

Passerby Ding: "Anyway, I would never marry someone that fat; just looking at her makes me sick."

They were speaking so loudly that you could hear them from two streets away.

Chu Xia heard it too, of course. She squatted down, hugged her knees, and cried. It was because she was too fat, it was because she was useless.

Li Shuchen looked at the girl, then at himself. The girl was only slightly plumper than him, and she was quite tall.

This is considered fat? That's ridiculous!

Li Shuchen strode over aggressively and slammed his hand on the table with a loud bang that could be heard four streets away.

He said to the passerby, "Your face is covered in pockmarks, it makes me sick to my stomach. Don't you know how ugly you are? You still dare to come out and scare people."

He said to passerby B, "You're so skinny you're practically skin and bones. Is your family so poor you can't even afford food? You can't even carry ten pounds of rice. You can't even afford food, yet you dream of being your own boss?"

He said to passerby C, "Don't you have a mirror or a pee at home? Take a piss and look at yourself. Do you think anyone would want to marry you if you looked like that?"

He said to the passerby, "And you, short, ugly, and greasy, you're incredibly lucky to have married a girl like that. You should be grateful, not complain. You really don't know what's good for you."

Li Shuchen crossed his arms and continued, "A bunch of grown men, instead of doing some proper work, sitting here gossiping about others, where do they get the nerve? If I were you, I'd be ashamed too."

Upon hearing this, four men stood up, rolled up their sleeves, and were about to attack.

Li Shuchen wasn't afraid of them. She put the pastries aside, rolled up her sleeves, and slammed her hand on the table with all her might, trying to show off and appear more formidable.

After all, this is how people in the martial arts world always start a fight; it's not about being cool.

With a crack, the table broke. Li Shuchen was stunned for a moment. Was she that powerful now?

The four men, seeing this, had already run away in fright. Was this girl a psychopath? She could crack a table with a single slap!

Watching them run off into the distance, Li Shuchen muttered, "A bunch of cowards."

Then a man came over and said cautiously, "Heroine, this table is cracked and can no longer be used. We are just a small business, so please pay for the table instead."

Li Shuchen asked, "How much?"

The owner of the table said softly, "Three hundred copper coins."

Li Shuchen paid for the table, collected the snacks, and walked up to the girl.

He patted her on the shoulder and said, "Have some coconut milk jam cake. It's so milky and sweet, it smells amazing!"

The girl looked up and replied, "Thank you."

Li Shuchen squatted down and asked, "What's your name?"

The girl replied, "Early summer."

Li Shuchen: "A very nice-sounding name."

Early Summer: "My mother named me that because she said I was born in early summer."

Tears welled up again when I thought of my mother.

Li Shuchen clearly saw that she had stopped crying, so why was she crying again? He frowned and asked, "Why are you crying?"

Chu Xia buried her head in her arms and choked out, "I'm not pretty, I'm fat, no boss will hire me, I can't earn money to buy medicine for my mother."

Li Shuchen said softly, "You're very pretty. You have a cute little canine tooth; your smile must be especially beautiful. Be more confident!"

Chu Xia looked up at Li Shuchen and said, "But they all like skinny people, and they said no one would want me."

Li Shuchen replied earnestly, "A girl's confidence doesn't need to be built on a man's affection. Just be yourself."
