He decided to stay and see what it was later. With that thought, he put the object in his pocket.

Like a baby seeing its mother, or like a long-lost friend reuniting, he felt a familiar joy emanating from the cold metal block.

He shook his head. It was just a piece of metal; how could it possess human emotions?

He continued walking forward.

Strangely enough, after walking for a short while, the cobblestone path that had seemed endless before suddenly felt like its end was just around the corner.

Could this be the feeling the white-robed girl meant by "the feeling of arriving is the right feeling"? Chen Er had previously thought the white-robed girl was just being mysterious and deceiving him. But when that feeling truly arose in his heart, he realized that the white-robed girl wasn't deceiving him.

That terrifying, eerie sound never appeared again, as if he had left it far behind. In its place was a feeling that he would soon reach the end of this road.

This feeling grew stronger and stronger. Finally, at the very end, Chen Er took a step forward and then stopped moving.

The feeling in his heart was overwhelming. Although he couldn't see it, he was certain that he had reached the "end."

Chen Er slowly opened his eyes and looked around.

He seemed to be in an attic, with white beads emitting a soft glow from the three- or four-meter-high ceiling. The attic wasn't large, and it was completely dark all around.

Like a small island in a boundless sea, the pavilion is so lonely, yet so precious.

In the very center of the attic is a black stone tablet about two meters high.

Chen Er looked behind him; all he saw was darkness, stretching as far as the eye could see. He felt as if the entire world had abandoned him.

Like a Kongming lantern released into the night, it shines alone in the high sky, while the surrounding area remains dark and unlit.

He steadied himself and walked up to the black stone tablet.

There was not a single word on it, only a black dent.

Chen Er went around to the back of the stone tablet and found that the back was even smoother than the front.

"Could this be the Heavenly Pavilion?" Chen Er looked at the pavilion, which was no more than ten square meters in size. This was completely different from the "Heavenly Pavilion" he had imagined.

He observed carefully again, wanting to see every inch of the small space clearly. After a while, he gave up this futile attempt.

The attic was spotless, yet a profound sense of history emanated from it. Chen Er looked at the black stone tablet as if he were facing an artifact from millions of years ago.

He looked at the front of the stone tablet, at the black indentation.

It was shaped like a hand, as if someone had slapped it hard.

"Is it enough to just put your hand on it?" Chen Er pondered. However, just as he was about to do so, he suddenly remembered something and took out the metal block from his pocket.

As he had predicted, it was a metal sword tip, but the material didn't look like steel, and most of it was missing, with only the tip remaining.

The appearance of the sword tip at this time was a bit strange, but Chen Er still put the sword tip away.

He hesitated for a moment, then extended his left hand and gently placed it on top.

As if some mechanism had been activated, Chen Er suddenly felt a bright light before his eyes, so bright that he had to close them.

He felt as if he had entered another world, or as if his mind had been filled with countless things.

Scenes of war flashed through his mind: a giant bird with six wings was pulled down by a blue "rope" on the ground. Upon closer inspection, he realized that the "rope" was actually the tongue of a giant toad-like creature. Before the giant toad could even taste its prey, a huge black shadow suddenly leaped out of the water beside it and swallowed it whole.

This was just the tip of the iceberg that Chen Er had witnessed. In the distance, even more powerful and bizarre beasts were engaged in battle, while not far away, the familiar shouts of humans could be heard.

A massive pillar of light shot into the sky, accompanied by the aura of blood. Moments later, as if in retaliation, countless meteorites rained down from the heavens, causing the entire earth to tremble. Chen Er, like a god, watched the two armies clashing in battle.

The generals' skills were incredibly gorgeous, the beasts were mysterious and powerful, and the soldiers were valiant. He couldn't see anyone's face clearly, but he felt as if he was participating in the great battle.

Finally, after an unknown amount of time, all living things on this land perished. The corpses of enormous beasts and humans lay scattered among the dead, and the sky itself was shattered, losing its light. Yet, the two figures on the battlefield seemed completely oblivious, continuing their desperate battle.

The earth-shattering, mountain-moving, and sea-steaming martial arts skills made Chen Er almost suspect he was watching a special effects blockbuster from a later era. Compared to these almost world-destroying martial arts skills, the "Sunset Bow" that Chen Er had previously found terrifying was actually quite insignificant.

Finally, the final battle arrived. The golden orb of light and the purple radiance collided, obscuring everything in sight.

Then, the image shattered, and in the very end, Chen Er saw a pair of severed hands buried deep within the rumbling, moving mountains.

In the distance, however, a massive bronze building rises from the ground.

Upon seeing the building clearly, Chen Er's heart skipped a beat.

He had seen that enormous bronze building before.

Before he could even think about what what he was seeing meant, he suddenly felt a flood of information in his mind, and his body was undergoing a rapid transformation as if it had been injected with an excessive amount of energy.

Unimaginable pain tore Chen Er apart in an instant, and he immediately fainted.

In the boundless darkness, the so-called "Heavenly Pavilion" stood alone like a star in the universe, surrounded by eternal darkness.

"Chen Er collapsed beside the black stone tablet of the Heavenly Pavilion, as if he were dead. Beside him, a woman slowly squatted down."

She looked at Chen Er and placed a hand on his forehead.

A warm, green light, like that of a firefly, fell from her hand onto Chen Er's forehead.
