Train Survival: You're really trying to survive!
Chapter 636 Initial Signs of Abnormality
After confirming the basic characteristics of the plants here, Zu Li and the others began searching for small animals in this small grove of about a few hundred square meters.
Unfortunately, there were no small animals to be seen in this grove.
"That's strange, why are there no small animals?"
Su Li pinched her chin. "Even if there are no birds or beasts, there should at least be some insects, right?"
"Could there be no monsters in this world?"
If that's the case, then Su Li doesn't know what the point of exploring this world is. There are strange candies everywhere, but she doesn't dare eat them even after collecting them. There aren't even any monsters. Isn't this a complete waste of time?
Sun Keke added, "If we hadn't discovered the cognitive rate network of this world, and instead believed the false system information we saw, and witnessed the situation here, we would probably have genuinely thought this was a harmless world, and then enjoyed the candy to our hearts' content."
Ivan speculated: "So, there's a high probability that something bad will happen if you eat the candy here?"
Su Li decided, "Let's just guess for now. Let's send the slime to eat some candy and see how it goes."
The group returned to the train. Ivan placed a box outside the train and put in it the slime, the stones, mushrooms, wood, live rabbits, live bear hump, and live saplings he had obtained from the small world.
The train began to travel along the predetermined route.
The wheels rubbed against the rails, producing a regular, reassuring sound. Su Li and the others, weapons in hand, sat on the sofa reading, preparing for battle.
The daytime passed just like that.
After the sun set, Su Li and the others became vigilant. They had encountered many instances of being safe during the day but attacked at night. In many worlds, the alternation of day and night represented the alternation between the normal and the abnormal.
As darkness fell completely, a peculiar moon appeared in the sky.
Looking out the window at the sky, Su Li exclaimed, "What a huge donut!"
Yes, the moon in the sky had transformed into a delicious-looking donut. The golden-brown bread was coated with a white substance—it was hard to tell if it was chocolate or cream—and topped with icing sugar.
Su Li and the others all showed a slightly drooling expression, because the donuts really looked incredibly appetizing. Only Ivan and Sofia, the siblings, showed an expression of pure enjoyment as they ate them.
"Why do you all have such strange expressions?" Su Li asked, puzzled.
“It reminded me of the donuts we ate.” Sofia’s face contorted in pain. “The moment I tasted them, I thought I had lost my sense of taste.”
"The impact was too great." Ivan was also speechless.
Su Li couldn't help but complain, "Okay, this is something I've actually eaten. It's different from the ones we've only eaten the improved version of."
As the donut floated into the sky, moonlight streamed down. The ground below gradually began to change.
The train was currently in the middle of a wasteland, surrounded by barren land with only waist-high grass and a few trees. Therefore, the visibility was excellent.
Looking out the window, Su Li saw that some lights gradually appeared on the ground, then turned into beams of light that connected to the sky, as if they were trying to get some feedback from the moon.
Su Li opened the door to the operations room. "I'll go and record the location of the light pillar. We'll explore it later."
But upon entering the gate, Zuli discovered that the satellite signal had turned red, indicating that the connection had been interrupted.
"The satellite is gone?" Su Li exclaimed in shock, turning to Ivan and shouting, "Lily, go and bring in all those things that were outside!"
Sun Lili responded, first taking out a vacuum isolation box from the warehouse, and then using magic to teleport the items placed outside inside.
A box suddenly appeared inside the vacuum isolation chamber, 20 centimeters off the ground, and then fell.
As the box fell, Su Li heard a crisp cracking sound.
The wooden box simply shattered.
Sophia glanced at the broken edge and exclaimed in surprise, "It's turned into a cookie!"
