Numerous runes appeared on the cube; these runes were not perfect, or even complete.

Some runes have lost their luster, and some were only half-written before being cut off, leaving behind an independent rune that is not connected to the others.

But it doesn't matter, the main runes are complete.

Ignoring the scorching heat of the flames, Ivan lifted the cube directly from the anvil. Magical energy surged into it.

"It's done!" Ivan exclaimed with delight.

He pressed the cube to his forehead and connected with it spiritually.

Then a beam of light shot from the cube into the outer shield.

With a loud crash, the collapsed cave was blasted apart by the gale, exposing Ivan and his companions to all the bats.

The sonic attack reached Ivan's light shield almost the instant he was exposed.

The echo bats thought their enemy was finally going to be torn apart by the sound waves, and they screamed excitedly. Soon there would be fresh, nutritious flesh and blood, and they would have many more newborns.

However, when the sound waves touched the light shield, the light shield began to emit layers of fluctuations.

These fluctuations are the exact opposite of sound waves, neutralizing them completely.

It was almost like stumbling upon a bat nest.

"Simulation successful!" Ivan laughed, his eyes red. "Haha, there's still room for improvement!"

What he just did was a simple operation that the magic blacksmith has recently been performing: amplifying the properties of the material itself. This technique is often used to explore unfamiliar materials; by amplifying the material's properties, one can observe it more clearly.

Ivan had done this many times before and was quite skilled, but it used to take him several hours to make successfully. This time, under immense pressure, he succeeded on his first try.

Ivan felt that his understanding of forging had deepened considerably, and that his proficiency had likely increased significantly.

Sun Keke breathed a sigh of relief. The echo bats outside primarily attacked with sound waves; their wind element attacks weren't very strong. With the sound waves dealt with, Ivan could easily defend against the attacks from outside.

Seeing that the materials were ready, Ivan was overjoyed, "Now help me start a fire!"

Flames rose, and Ivan began forging once more.

This time, he readjusted the material ratios to make the materials more consistent with the wind and dark elements inherent in the materials themselves.

The shape was redesigned, adopting a hollowed-out sphere. The hollows in the sphere would not affect the transmission of sound waves. This was technology from the previous entertainment world; their phonographs all used this design, and Ivan simply modified it slightly.

The troublesome sound waves were thus resolved through the combined efforts of the couple.

Sun Keke took out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from her husband's head and neck. "So reliable, truly my prince!"

High-level sonic attacks have shifted their transmission method from physical media like air to the ubiquitous medium of magical energy, but some of their properties remain. Creating a vacuum barrier can reduce some of the damage.

After drinking the magic potion and restoring some of his magic power, Ivan, holding Sun Coco, sat back down on the magic carpet once everything was ready.

Sun Keke began to perform a divination, then pointed in a direction, "Go that way!"
