Train Survival: You're really trying to survive!

Chapter 201: Scheduled to Join the Team (Supplement 12.16)

Sun Keke wants to join our team?

This conversation is so abrupt. How did we suddenly veer off to this topic? Logically, weren't you going to mention things like equipment, skill books, and materials?

Ivan seemed a little unsure about Sun Keke.

Ivan—aren't your team doing just fine? I remember you said your sister was very strong.

Sun Keke remained silent for a long time before replying—"My sister is currently unconscious."

Ivan was taken aback and looked up at his sister, who had only been awake for two days.

How can they be so similar?

Sun Keke – My sister hasn't woken up yet, and I, as a support, can't keep going.

Ivan—can't the temple be used for healing?

Sun Keke received treatment at the temple, but it was ineffective. The temple's altar indicated that her sister's problem stemmed from a psychological issue.

Sun Keke - My sister and I were attacked in a very strange world.

Sun Keke—I want to save my sister, and the opportunity might just lie in that strange world. I've already set my sights on that world, but I'm not strong enough. My sister and I will join your convoy, and I'll help you find your brother-in-law. Then you can help me save my sister, okay?

Ivan frowned. This was a risky deal, and he had no idea just how risky the bizarre world Sun Keke had described was.

When the supernatural was mentioned, Ivan thought of all the ghosts and monsters in the novels his brother-in-law had told him, as well as strange tales about rules and Cthulhu, each one of which was very troublesome and beyond the reach of their small Black Iron team.

Moreover, this matter requires my sister's approval.

Ivan came to Sophia's bedside. "Sister, I have something to tell you."

Sofia opened her eyes and looked at Ivan. Sofia's face was tinged with worry and a hint of weariness, but she still managed a smile for her brother. "Speak, Ivan."

Ivan explained the current situation to his sister.

Sofia pondered for a moment, "Learn more about that strange world."

Ivan – tell us more about the strange world.

Sun Keke—It was a world like a ghost movie, divided into two worlds, an inner and an outer one. At night, the inner world would overlay the outer world, and all sorts of pitch-black monsters would appear. These monsters weren't particularly powerful, just numerous.

Sun Keke—I don't know why, but those ghosts and monsters can easily locate our position and then attack us like crazy.

"Very weak?" Sophia pressed, "You mean their energy level, their challenge level, and their strength?"

Ivan followed Sofia's instructions and went to inquire.

Sun Keke – My older sister just reached the Iron rank, and I'm still a little short. My world energy level is 0.4, and my challenge level is 1.

World level 0.4, challenge level 1, meaning this world doesn't even have a silver-level character.

Sophia wondered, "The difficulty isn't very high, about the same as Howling Valley we explored before. Should I ask her if anything unusual happened? Have the monsters suddenly become stronger or increased in number?"

Sun Keke – Nothing particularly unusual was discovered. It's just that the monsters were inflicting exceptionally high damage on my sister. Those monsters harbored a very strong hatred for her. Even when I attacked them, they didn't retaliate.

Sophia had some guesses. "Did some kind of mechanism trigger, causing the monster to have a special attack on her sister? We can accept her conditions. But tell him we won't go to save her sister immediately."

After saying that, Sophia looked at Ivan's instruction manual, opened her mouth, but in the end, she couldn't bring herself to explain things clearly to her brother.

Sofia stared at the ceiling, thinking to herself, "I'm sorry, little brother, I know you and that girl are friends. But in my heart, your brother-in-law and you are the most important. I'm prepared to go back on my word after I've used that girl."

Sun Keke: Okay, thank you so much. You truly are my prince.

Sun Keke—I'll be waiting for you at the train station. I've already done the divination; you'll be returning to Blue Star City soon.

Sun Keke—See you in Blue Star City!

Sun Keke put down the manual, couldn't help but cough, and vomited a mouthful of blood.

She clutched her waist and chest in pain, leaning over her sister's bedside, her voice weak yet tinged with laughter: "Sister, I will save you. This is a divine revelation obtained by sacrificing a kidney and half a lung. It can't be wrong."

Before her lay a beautiful young woman dressed in gorgeous attire, smiling, lying on the bed like Sleeping Beauty from a fairy tale.

On the other end, Ivan was about to close the manual when Sophia interrupted him, "Take another look at Zuli's condition."

Ivan's fingers paused for a moment, then he turned to the team members' page in the manual.

He placed the manual in front of Sofia so that she could clearly see its contents.

"It's still a colored profile picture... which means he's still alive." Sophia breathed a sigh of relief. "Flip it left or right."

She needed to confirm that Ivan wasn't lying to her with the screenshot.

Ivan obediently scrolled through the chat and saw the constantly refreshing conversation in the chat room. Only then did Sophia realize that it wasn't a screenshot.

"Did you get a reply?" Sophia continued to inquire.

Ivan shook his head. "The trade won't go through. The manual will only show that the other party is out of service."

“Out of service area…” Sophia closed her eyes, “As long as I’m not dead yet, that’s good.”

Nothing happened that night, and the void voyage continued for another two days. Ivan finally felt the familiar dizziness of teleportation.

The train was pulled to the platform, where the people on the platform gasped at the sight of the horrific scene.

"The entire vehicle was blown up, the boiler is gone, how could it possibly come back?"

"Those who survive a great calamity are sure to have good fortune in the future."

Ivan opened the train door, pushed his sister, who was in a wheelchair, out, and then closed the door. After the door was closed, the train was protected by the flames of civilization of Blue Star City, and no one else could open it.

Ivan pushed his sister all the way to the temple and then placed her on the altar.

A beam of healing descended from the sky, completing Sophia's treatment. The treatment cost only 20 survival coins, far less than Ivan had anticipated.

For the temple, a broken spinal cord is a minor issue; it's not like losing an arm or a leg, which can be easily reattached.

Sofia stood up from her wheelchair, stretched her limbs, and hugged her younger brother, saying, "Thank you for your hard work."

Sophia gently patted her younger brother's head, then took out her handbook and found Zheng Hongyuan.

Sofia—Mr. Zheng, is there any news?

Zheng Hongyuan – No, the fastest one is still traveling in the void, and it's unknown when he'll return.

Sofia – We couldn’t wait any longer, so we found a teammate ourselves.

Zheng Hongyuan – Beware of those with ulterior motives.

Sofia—I'll be careful.

Zheng Hongyuan – Contact me if you need anything.
