Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 40 Day 1 at Hogwarts

When Beretta and the others rushed to the Great Hall, it was nearly empty. They quickly sat down at the Gryffindor table and began to eat breakfast. They finished before nine o'clock, even taking some food back to Erlinda while she was still asleep.

"Erlinda, wake up! We brought you some food. Other things are hard to bring, so we brought you sandwiches and pumpkin pies!" Beretta shook Erlinda, who was still half asleep.

"Thank you, I'm so hungry." Erlinda's brain seemed to automatically activate at the mention of food, and she reached for the food while still keeping her eyes closed.

"Oh, please, Erlinda! It's past nine o'clock, wake up! We promised to go for a walk around campus."

Just as the little witches were preparing to begin their day of adventure, our ten prefects and the male and female student council members began to arrive one after another in the study room on the fifth floor.

Don't ask them how they found this classroom among so many empty rooms; the answer is magic. And this isn't just idle talk; they genuinely sensed the magical fluctuations emanating from the classroom and that's how they found it.

Bernhard was the first to arrive. He got up very early, but didn't run into Joanna while having breakfast in the auditorium. Since they had agreed to explore the campus together on the Knight Bus, he couldn't go out on his own. So he went back to the common room to chat with other people, checked the time, and arrived around 9:30.

When he arrived on the fifth floor, he was initially confused by the numerous room doors. However, after walking around, he noticed that one room felt different from the others. He couldn't quite put his finger on why, but he decided to wait in that room rather than stand there idly in the hallway.

He had only been waiting a few minutes when a Slytherin boy dressed in black with green trim walked in. The boy greeted him politely.

“Hello, I’m Halken Miller. I thought I was early enough.”

"Hello, I'm Bernhard Wiggins. I got up early and had nothing to do."

How did you find this room?

"I don't know, it's just a feeling. What about you?"

"Me too, looks like it's not just women who have a sixth sense!" Joanna walked in while the two were chatting. Joanna had only intended to peek in to see what was going on, but when she noticed people were there, she came in, and when she saw that one of them was her boyfriend, she walked in even faster.

Because Bernhard was facing away from the classroom door, he didn't see Joanna, but he instinctively felt a chill down his spine. Joanna quickly appeared behind Bernhard, pounced on him, and grabbed him by the neck with her arm, saying angrily, "We agreed to come to Gryffindor together, why did you go to Hufflepuff? You bastard, explain yourself!"

"Let go, let go now! I can't breathe! I didn't mean to, the Sorting Hat sorted me into Hufflepuff before I even had a chance to speak."

Halken stared wide-eyed at the two people before him. What was going on? Then Joanna remembered there were other people in the classroom and smiled at Halken: "Hello, I'm Joanna Hampton, a Gryffindor."

"Ah, I can tell that!"

"Excuse me, Halken, she's my girlfriend. You know there was a bit of an accident during the sorting!" Benhard chuckled. A moment later, there was a knock on the door.

Is anyone there?

"Diane, come in. Bernhard and I are both here!"

Upon hearing the reply, Diane and Melissa pushed open the door and came in. After introducing themselves, they continued chatting, and around 9:55, the others gradually arrived.

At ten o'clock sharp, Andres opened the door and greeted everyone warmly. "Good morning, everyone. How are you satisfied with the school breakfast?"

"Hello, Principal! Of course, I'm much more satisfied with what you do yourself!"

"Alright, let's get down to business. I spoke with the Sorting Hat before you arrived yesterday, and it basically ensured that each house would be assigned two eighteen-year-old students."

So you will be the prefects of your respective houses. Darius Pick of Gryffindor and Diane Bryan of Ravenclaw, you two will be the first presidents of the student council and co-presidential council.

This wasn't a random choice by Andres; Darius and Diane were the only two students out of the ten who carried a beneficial title.

Diane goes without saying, but Darius's title is: Student Leader. Holding this title increases a person's prestige among students by 10% (note that after graduation, it only applies to students from the same cohort as that person).

"You know that we are short-staffed at the moment, and you need to maintain school discipline in your daily work. I allow you to punish people or things that violate school discipline, but I hope you will be careful to judge the severity of the punishment."

I'll send you a copy of the school rules and regulations later, and oh yes, the class schedule. We're only offering three courses this semester. Textbooks will be delivered to your bedside tables by house-elves. Do you have any questions or anything you don't understand?

“Principal, we understand that the school needs manpower to help us, but isn’t three years too short? Will we learn too little in three years to support our future work? Maybe in seven years, the younger kids will be better than us,” Diane quickly asked.

"I've discussed this issue with Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick. We believe that since you are all adults, you will have better self-discipline in your studies. Therefore, we've decided to increase the intensity of your regular studies. In addition to your regular classes, you will be divided into two groups of five, each group studying under Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick respectively. You can think of graduate studies in the Muggle world as a reference. Furthermore, we will allow you to frequently return to the university for further studies after graduation, and we will develop the library for you. So, do you have any further questions?"

"The principal is gone."

"Alright, you can discuss the group assignments later and give me the list at dinner. Now you can go and explore the castle. If you want to go to the Historic County, you'll have to wait until the afternoon, as the buses that departed this morning have already left."

After saying this, Andres left. He hadn't finished reading the books in his office yet; he planned to study them properly so he wouldn't rely on the system all the time.

“Alright, the headmaster is gone. Now, if any of us are interested in Transfiguration, please come to the left; if any of us are interested in Charms, please come to the right.” Darius stepped forward and began organizing the groups.

The other nine people began to discuss with their companions.

“Benhard, this time you'll be joining Professor McGonagall's side with me. I want to make a breakthrough in Transfiguration,” Joanna said firmly, staring intently at Benhard. Benhard hesitated for a few seconds, then cautiously said, “I don't recommend it.”

"What did you say?" "Don't be angry yet, let me finish what I have to say. You see, we don't actually have many courses, which is more than enough time to learn and exchange magic. If we study separately and then learn from each other, wouldn't that mean we learn the knowledge from both sides? That way, we will be much ahead of others, right? Of course, the premise is that we must master the knowledge we learn."
