Huh? There's a magic school here.
Chapter 384 A busy day
"As for the Dragon Kingdom, I don't think you've come here to establish a new base, have you?"
After speaking, Andres looked at the diplomats from the Dragon Kingdom, who nodded frantically. Andres then drew his wand and cast the Curse of Annihilation on them, restoring their voices.
"Marquis Andres..."
"Mr. Andres..."
"Alright, one at a time! We're all people of status, so it's best to follow the rules. Charlie, you go first!"
“Thank you, Marquis Andres! As you know, King Charles has gathered a large number of nobles, officials, and business leaders for this project. Funding is not a problem at all; the issue is that there are quite a few people, and many are dissatisfied with their share. So King Charles sent me to see if we could persuade the Ministry of Magic to give up a portion of their share. We are willing…”
"No! Of course, you can choose not to give anything to the Ministry of Magic, but then you'll have to solve your own security problems!"
Andres rejected the proposal decisively before Charlie could finish speaking. Andres even wondered if he had been too lenient with them. They actually dared to try and divide up the three floors of the Ministry of Magic; he wondered where they got the audacity to say such a thing. Didn't they consider how negotiations with other countries would be handled if the Ministry agreed to this concession? Would they have to give up an entire floor as well?
Charlie had anticipated this outcome, so he wasn't particularly disappointed. Seeing Andres's resolute attitude, he took his leave with the French diplomat. With the Ministry of Magic's support secured, everything would be fine; all that remained was to haggle and divide the spoils with the European nations!
Seeing that the diplomats from both countries had left Andres and then turned their attention to the people from the United States, the diplomats from the United States immediately pleaded with Andres.
“Mr. Andres, you can’t just refuse the United States like this! You must help us. You know, our leader, Comrade Trump, is under tremendous pressure because a large amount of gold was discovered at the Dragon Kingdom’s outpost.”
"Sir diplomat, it's really not that we're deliberately obstructing things. But unfortunately, the nodes within your beacon country's territory haven't stabilized yet, and we can't risk our own lives! Our suggestion is to wait until the spatial nodes stabilize before discussing this matter again!"
"Is there really no other way? We're willing to pay any price!"
"I'm sorry, I have to be responsible for my students!"
The diplomat from the United States knew that continuing the dispute would yield the same result, so he had no choice but to get up and leave. After leaving the Ministry of Magic, he called the High Lord's office and gave him a detailed report of the situation.
Through the phone, he could hear the big boss, Chuan Jianguo, cursing on the other end! He even heard the sound of something breaking!
"Who does he think he is, daring to refuse the great beacon of the world! I'll make him pay if I get the chance!"
The diplomat from the United States wiped away imaginary sweat. The Grand Master had gone mad! Principal Andres was probably the strongest person on Earth in terms of individual combat power. How dare the Grand Master say such a thing? What if the Ministry of Magic stopped cooperating with the United States in the future?!
Returning to the Ministry of Magic's conference room, Andres was still discussing matters with diplomats from the Bear Kingdom.
"Yes, Mr. Andres, please believe me! Our Bear Nation will definitely reach an agreement with the local armed forces. We will not allow the wizards of the magical world to suffer any harm! We also hope that you can provide more support for the development of the Karen Continent! Then I will not disturb your precious time any longer!"
This is the easiest diplomat they've dealt with so far; they're basically asking for nothing more than to establish an outpost. This has put Andres much at ease; the Russians are generally quite sensible. What they fear most is being left without anyone to guide them; as long as someone takes them along, the terms are negotiable.
Finally, only the diplomats from the Dragon Kingdom remained in the conference room. Their purpose in coming wasn't to establish a new outpost with the Ministry of Magic, but rather to see if there was anything they could do to help, having heard that Andres was planning to build a new magic school on the continent of Karen.
"Mr. Andres, please don't hesitate to ask if there's anything we can do to help. We hope to maintain a lasting friendship with you!"
"Of course, sir! Please convey this to your superiors when you return; we will certainly ask for your assistance if needed!"
The two exchanged a few polite words and then the meeting ended. Andres finally breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the Chinese diplomat off.
Diane, being very perceptive, came over and brought Andres some food, then sat down and said...
"Principal, should I postpone the meeting by half an hour so you can have more time to rest?"
Andres picked up a pastry and ate it, then shook his head.
"No need, just call me when everyone arrives! Establishing a new Hogwarts on Karen Continent is a big deal, and there are still many things to take care of."
Seeing Andres's insistence, Diane left the meeting room without saying anything to allow him to rest. After some time, Andres was awakened by a knock on the door. He quickly rubbed his cheeks to try and wake himself up.
"Please come in!"
Diane pushed open the door and entered, then asked.
"Principal Andres, they're all here, should we let them in?"
"Yes, please invite everyone in! Oh, and have the house-elves bring over some drinks and fruit!"
After Andres finished speaking, a large group of people walked in shortly afterward. These people included both young and old, men and women. However, upon closer inspection, one would notice that they all shared a common identity: they were all owners of various businesses or shops in the magical world!
Many people greeted Andres warmly as they entered. For example, Garrick Ollivander gave Andres a big hug and casually complained that he had been too busy lately to have afternoon tea.
But not all of these people were wizards; there were also a number of Muggles. This was exactly the result Andres hoped to see, demonstrating that the integration of wizards and ordinary people was now effective! He had never wanted the wizarding community to exist independently of humanity; in his view, that was unwise.
The number of wizards is too small, so they must rely on their own race to expand the wizarding community. If they were to handle their relationship with ordinary people like those pure-blood theorists, wizards would eventually perish. Fortunately, Andres doesn't have this problem; otherwise, the first thing Andres would probably do is eliminate these pure-blood theorists.
