Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 2 Lynn's Present Life

Lynn quickly ran back to his position and went to the driver's cab of a missile vehicle. Originally, there were two people in the missile vehicle, a driver and a missile operator. However, due to the urgency of the battle, an assisted driving system had to be installed on the missile vehicle. Simply put, it's an automatic driving system, but it can be manually interrupted at any time for the operator to drive.

The vehicle radio crackled with orders: "This is command post. This is command post. I now order: Target 553, 237, elevation 6! Repeat target 553, 237, elevation 6! Fire ten incendiary bombs immediately."

As Lynn input the command, he pressed the launch button. A dozen rocket launchers roared across the entire position, and bursts of fire shot off into the distance. Half a minute later, on a plain dozens of kilometers away, hundreds of orc infantrymen were engulfed in flames.

However, the orc army reacted quickly, sending out a large number of mages to set up a huge light shield at the front of the column to protect the column as it moved forward.

Half an hour later, the orc commander also received news that the attack had originated from Lynn's position. He turned and gestured to the elderly orc standing beside him, who indicated that he would send an elite orc magic squad.

Unbeknownst to Lynn, danger was slowly approaching. After firing all the rockets, they still made a move to relocate. Originally, this was a precaution against enemy counterattacks, but now it also proved to be an effective survival measure. The orcs also possessed aerial attack capabilities; the humans simply hadn't known this at first. After suffering a few losses, they learned their lesson and started firing a single shot and then retreating.

Just after Lynn moved to the new position, the invisible orc magic squad arrived. Unlike the villains in movies who foolishly dawdle and get killed by the protagonist, they immediately stealthily moved within range of their spellcasting ability. Each of them took charge of a rocket launcher and began casting spells.

Of course, since it was a small team of more than a dozen people casting spells at the same time, the damage to each rocket launcher was different.

Lynn was about to go down for a smoke when he was suddenly enveloped by a giant water sphere. He was startled and realized he had been attacked by magic, so he began to desperately try to swim out of the sphere. But he found that it was all in vain; wherever he swam, the water sphere moved with him, and he remained inside the sphere.

While Lynn was swimming, he witnessed his brother next to him being struck by a massive fireball, causing a violent explosion. The brother's fate was far worse than his own; he wasn't even left with a complete body. Because of the explosion, Lynn instinctively swam in the opposite direction.

Suddenly, a huge shovel of earth appeared under the cab of another rocket launcher and pierced through it. He could still see his comrade in that vehicle, blood gushing from the shovel, lying on the steering wheel.

This was the last thing Lynn saw; he knew he was going to die from lack of oxygen. But he didn't feel fear. Instead, he looked at the magic and thought, "If only I could use magic, could I save many people?" Then everything went black and he lost consciousness.

In an apartment in London, on Blue Star in 2006.

The loud alarm clock woke Lynn early in the morning. Still half asleep, he reached for his phone to turn it off. But when he found it, opened his eyes, and exclaimed, "Holy crap! A Nokia 3110C?!"

What's going on? My brand-new Huawei phone, this huge one, has turned into this decades-old machine? Wait, what's going on? How did this thing get here? But Lynn quickly realized that the phone wasn't the point! I was just drowned by an orc mage on the battlefield, wasn't I?

How am I still alive? Where am I? This doesn't feel like my home! Lynn looked at her pale body and had a vague feeling that something was wrong.

He stood in front of the mirror and was stunned!

Because the person appearing in the mirror wasn't Lynn herself, but a young white man. This young white man was 187 cm tall and weighed 85 kg, with a perfectly proportioned build—neither too thin nor too fat. He had blue eyes, blond hair, and a high nose—a typical handsome European man.

As he was looking in the mirror, this phrase from his bodily memory suddenly popped into his mind.

The person in the mirror is named Andres Morrie, an orphan. He stayed in the orphanage until he was 16, then left to work. It wasn't that the orphanage treated him badly; on the contrary, they treated him well. He didn't want to be a burden on the orphanage, given their limited funds and the large number of children they had to care for.

So Andres left the orphanage like other adult orphans to earn a living on his own, and like other adult orphans, he would donate a portion of his meager savings to the orphanage.

After all, that was their home, their spiritual home, and the children there were their younger brothers and sisters who needed their help.

Andres is now twenty-five years old and has saved up a small fortune after years of hard work. He works as a construction worker, a job that only requires physical labor to earn money. He works eight hours a day, which is much easier than in his previous life.

Therefore, in addition to saving £50,000, his biggest hobby is football.

After sorting out his thoughts, Lynn realized that the reason he was able to travel to this place was because Andres went to a bar with his coworkers after get off work yesterday, and ended up drinking too much and dying drunk.

Poor Andres was celebrating his favorite team's qualification for the World Cup just hours ago, and now this has happened. But Lynn doesn't care anymore. He is Andres now! He will live well for him and take care of the younger brothers and sisters in the orphanage.

Perhaps I'll have the chance to visit my parents from my past life someday, but right now, the most urgent thing is dealing with the disaster that will happen twenty years from now. If I do nothing, the same thing will happen again in twenty years. But how can I convince anyone that the disaster will come twenty years from now by just talking nonsense?

Just because he's a time traveler? Who would believe that? So many time travelers have appeared online, and none of their predictions have been completely accurate. Most of them are just lucky guesses; otherwise, why didn't anyone predict that Earth would be invaded by orcs in 2026?

Just as he was fretting, he suddenly remembered the novels he had read in his past life. Now that he had transmigrated, shouldn't he also have some kind of perk like the protagonists in those novels? Shouldn't he have some kind of cheat code or something?

So Lynn, also known as Andres, silently recited it in his mind.

"System? System? Are you there? Come out! Stop hiding! I know you're here!"

Andres launched a barrage of words, silently chanting in his mind. He even recited "Boundless Heaven and Earth, Borrowing the Power of Heaven and Earth" aloud, but it still had no effect. He began to wonder if he had transmigrated in the wrong way.
