Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 198 New Shops in Hogsmeade Village

In the afternoon, Andres and Professor Snape went to the Hogwarts basement, where, in addition to the Potions classroom, there were many abandoned Potions classrooms. Snape led Andres to one of the classrooms and opened the door, where Andres saw Darius Pick and Halken Miller brewing potions.

"Harken, there's definitely something wrong with your potion! The textbook describes the normal color as dark red, but your potion is too light. Something must be wrong! Let me think, where is the problem?"

"No way, Darius! This is the result of our whole day's work, are you sure you're not mistaken?"

Professor Snape came in, glanced at the room, and said coldly.

“Darius is right, Harken! How could we Slytherin have such an idiot? If this were in class, I would deduct your points even if it meant losing the House Cup! I'm asking you, how do we remove the porcupine quills from this potion?”

Darius, who was standing nearby, habitually replied to Snape's question.

"Of course you wash them, cut them into pieces, grind them into powder, and then put them in the pot! Seriously, Halken! You didn't grind them into powder, did you?"

Halken, who was standing to the side, realized what was wrong with him when Professor Snape asked him a question. Even though he was going to graduate next year, he was still a little afraid of Professor Snape and didn't dare to raise his head.

"Sorry, Professor, I forgot. I poured the pieces directly into the pot after I cut them up."

"It's obvious what happened at a glance. I think you have the brain of a troll! But thankfully, the potion wasn't ruined, just much less effective!"

Andres, who was standing nearby, quickly chimed in after Professor Snape finished reprimanding the students.

"Daris, can you come out with me for a second? I have some questions for you!"

"Yes, Principal Andres!"

After saying this, the two walked towards the door. As Darius left, he saw Halken's pleading eyes, and could only return an apologetic gesture before leaving. The moment he closed the door, he began to mourn for Halken, because he heard Professor Snape's cold voice.

"Harken, what are you waiting for if you're not going to clean up the workbench? Are you waiting for me to clean up your mess?"

"Ah, yes, Professor Snape! I'll clean it up right away!"

After Andres and Darius came out, they went to the classroom next door. Opening the door, Andres cast a cleansing spell on two empty chairs. Then he said something to Darius.

"Sit down, Darius!"

After Darius sat down, he asked Andres a question.

"I wonder what the principal wants to see me about?"

"Well, at lunchtime, Severus said that you've been brewing a lot of potions lately, including some magical potions that aren't suitable for you. Professor McGonagall is very worried about you and asked me to come and find out what's going on."

Upon hearing this, Darius visibly relaxed and quickly responded.

"Yes, that's right. Principal Andres, you should remember the shops we bought from you last year!"

Upon hearing this, Andres immediately recalled the incident, remembering how he had emphasized that they should start using it a year later. Now he understood what they were planning to do, so Andres asked.

"So you're planning to open a pharmacy?"

"Yes, Principal Andres, we have prepared the shop and are just waiting to put these potions on the shelves so we can open for business. We plan to officially launch our potions when the new students start school."

"But are the potions you make okay? I think there's something wrong with Harken's potions!"

"Please rest assured, Principal Andres, today's incident was just an accident! All the potions we make need to be examined by Professor Snape; otherwise, we wouldn't dare to release them to the market. This stuff is meant for human consumption, and we wouldn't dare to do anything without Professor Snape's approval."

Andres nodded upon hearing this.

"If it has passed Professor Snape's test, then it really is acceptable. What are your plans for managing this store? You know you're usually very busy!"

"We've thought it through. We'll borrow a house-elf from the school to help out during the holidays. Normally, there are ten of us working in shifts, with each person coming for one day, which means two or three shifts throughout the holiday. If anyone has something come up, we can switch shifts!"

"That's indeed a good idea. Did you concoct all these potions?"

"Yes, all of these were made by the ten of us. Some were assignments or classroom projects from last year, while others were made by us during our free time over the holidays. Overall, everyone was very enthusiastic, after all, it's our own shop!"

"By the way, you can learn how to make those prohibited drugs. But I don't want them on the market, I'm afraid some young wizards won't be able to resist the temptation and use them indiscriminately!"

"Ah, please rest assured, Principal Andres! We have no intention of selling prohibited drugs. Their primary purpose is for demonstration. Displaying such highly complex drugs helps showcase our capabilities! This is something we've all agreed upon; every single bottle of prohibited drug will be strictly guarded!"

"Then I have no problem with that. Remember to let me know when you open. By the way, I wish you great success in your business!"

"Thank you, Principal Andres. We plan to officially open on August 1st! We hope you can come and give us some guidance then!"

"I will."

After finishing their business, Andres started chatting with Darius, mainly asking about the success of this year's student home visits. Darius said they were used to parents' skepticism; only after actually seeing a magical demonstration would they believe Hogwarts was real and not just a movie, novel, or prank.

Andres also asked about the issue of the ten of them taking over classes next semester.

"Daris, how have you all discussed the matter of needing ten of you to substitute for classes when the new semester starts?"

“We’ve already discussed it, Professor Andres. Since there are only five core courses that require our teaching, we’ve decided to pair up, one male and one female, to teach the new students. That’s just the right number of students.”

"That's great. Is there anything the school needs to prepare for you?"

"We don't have any specific needs, but we might need the school to coordinate the classrooms! After all, there are quite a few students, and with a total of 1,600 people, there really aren't enough classrooms!"

“I understand, Darius! I’ll handle this! Let’s go back and see how Professor Snape and Halken are doing.”

“Yes, Principal Andres, I’m looking forward to the new semester.”
