Huh? There's a magic school here.
Chapter 110 Conflict Between Professors
Andreas quickly understood: Professor McGonagall meant that many letters went unanswered because people simply didn't believe in Hogwarts, causing some talented young wizards to be overlooked.
However, if a home visit is conducted before admission, the success rate will be greatly increased. Therefore, Andres nodded in agreement to Professor McGonagall's minor change to the admissions process.
Since it can increase the success rate of admission, it should certainly be implemented. However, it seems that some plans need to be brought forward.
After Professor McGonagall left, Andres bought two professor cards. One for Potions and the other for Defense Against the Dark Arts. Andres was somewhat looking forward to them.
After using two cards, the first to appear was the Potions professor, a man in a long black robe with straight hair, cold and deep eyes, sallow skin, and a large, hooked nose. Yes, this was Severus Snape, the youngest Head of Slytherin House and the youngest Headmaster of Hogwarts in its history.
Looking at the man before him, Andres felt a mix of emotions. You could call him a good person, but he was actually a double agent. You could call him a bad person, but he was also someone who would sacrifice everything for love. However, regardless of the circumstances, this man was a magical genius, possessing unique insights into both potions and spells.
"Hello, Professor Severus Snape! It's a pleasure to have you teaching at the new Hogwarts."
"Hello, Principal Andres."
Professor Snape didn't say much, remaining as cold as ever. Incidentally, the word Snape itself means "severe" in Latin. So it's not so hard to understand why he frightened the young wizards to tears in his classes.
Just as the atmosphere became somewhat awkward and silent, another Defense Against the Dark Arts professor appeared. He was a man with prominent wrinkles, gray hair, and tattered clothes.
Just as Andres was about to greet the other person, Snape, who had a cold face, suddenly rushed forward and grabbed the other person's collar.
“I don’t know why Principal Andres summoned you, a werewolf. I think it might have been a mistake. But since you’re here, I expect you to follow the school rules. Don’t let me find out you’re missing your medication. If you dare threaten any student, I won’t hesitate to kill you.”
“Professor Severus Snape! I won’t hold it against you for protecting Harry at the last moment! There are no Death Eaters in this new world now! All you have now are your colleagues! So, let go of my claws!”
Lupin looked into Snape's eyes and said, word by word.
Andres was bewildered by the two men's behavior; what was going on, they were fighting as soon as they arrived? Fortunately, Professor Snape eventually calmed down and let go. After straightening Lupin's collar, he still threatened Lupin.
"You'd better keep your own eyes open!"
After saying that, he stood silently in Andres's office, watching as the situation calmed down. Andres quickly called over the house-elf Dobby and asked him to take Professor Snape down to rest.
Then he gave Professor Snape £10,000 as money to buy some living supplies. Professor Snape didn't say anything and silently followed Dobby out of the headmaster's office.
"Professor Lupin, please have a seat. Let me settle Professor Snape in first."
As Andres spoke, he retrieved the Headmaster's office and Potions classroom from the system. He located the corresponding locations using the 3D projection of Hogwarts Castle in the system and activated them. Then he exited the system and looked at Lupin.
"Welcome, Professor Remus John Lupin. I hope you can forget the unpleasantness that just happened with Professor Snape."
"Don't worry, Headmaster Andres. My conflict with Snape dates back to when we were in school together. Although it's hard to resolve in a short time, I don't hate him. It's just a minor conflict."
"Okay, I have a question I'd like to ask you, please don't mind."
"It's alright, Principal Andres. I think I know what you're going to ask. The system cured my problem when you summoned me to this world, so you don't need to worry about me hurting the students!"
"You're cured? That's wonderful! You won't turn into a werewolf anymore?"
"That's not what I meant. What I meant was that I will still transform on the night of the full moon, but my sanity will not disappear after transforming. In other words, I can still maintain my sanity after transforming."
"Oh? So this isn't a bad thing turning into a good thing for you? It's like having another Animagus transformation."
Lupin responded with a wry smile.
“Principal Andres, I don’t think being able to transform into a werewolf is a good thing. You know I’ve suffered a lot because of it, and I haven’t been able to find a decent job for many years.”
"Don't worry, Professor Lupin will get everything you deserve here with us."
"Thank you, Headmaster Andres! It is a pleasure to be back teaching at Hogwarts."
"Well, here's what we'll do. You go and rest first. Here's ten thousand pounds. You can go to Hogsmeade Village to buy some daily necessities. Remember to come back on time for dinner tonight. I'll arrange a welcome dinner for you and Professor Snape."
"Okay, thank you very much, Principal Andres."
After saying that, Lupin left with another house-elf.
Andres then reopened the system and redeemed a teachers' lounge and a Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. He then used the 3D system to materialize them in the castle, thus completing the five major courses. The remaining task was to arrange elective courses for the young wizards in the second semester; these electives were crucial in determining their future career paths.
After finishing everything, Andres remembered to write to Darris and Diane. He told them that he would arrange a home visit around early July, which would take about two weeks.
Andres called Dobius back again.
"Dobby, send these letters to the presidents of the student council and the prefects of each college. Also, inform all the professors that we've prepared a big dinner tonight to welcome our new colleague, and tell them not to miss it. Tell the kitchen to prepare extra good dishes tonight as well."
"No problem. Is there anything else you need, Principal Andres?"
"That's all, you can go back to your work."
After Dobby left, Andres began to think about whether he had overlooked anything.
As he pondered this, he suddenly remembered that he should perhaps make a trip to the Owl Tower. With the increase in students this year, the demand for mail delivery would also rise, so he should perhaps provide the little guys with some more companions.
So Andres also went to the Owl Tower. When he arrived, Dobby was feeding the owls water and tying up the letter. Dobby looked at Andres strangely, wondering why the headmaster had come in person.
