A short while later, Qi Shu returned to her palace with Xiang Ling. Xiang Ling spoke first, asking, "Princess, you've just had lunch, would you like to rest for a bit?"

After hearing this, Qi Shu looked at Xiang Ling and nodded slightly. Qi Shu quietly lay down on the bed, but she tossed and turned and couldn't fall asleep.

So she instructed Xiangling to find a book about how to cook delicious food.

After hearing this, Xiangling looked at Qi Shu and asked in confusion, "Princess, you are of noble birth, why do you also need to learn how to cook?"

After hearing this, Qi Shu looked at Xiang Ling, said nothing, and simply instructed her to do as she was told. Xiang Ling was still somewhat puzzled, but she didn't dare to ask any more questions.

A moment later, Xiangling brought over a cookbook. Qi Shu took the cookbook from Xiangling and began to read it carefully.

Qi Shu saw some delicious and easy-to-make recipes and wrote them down on paper and in her notebook, thinking that she would find an opportunity to try them out and make them for people who like them.

After an unknown amount of time, perhaps out of exhaustion, Qi Shu quietly fell asleep, holding the cookbook in her hand. Seeing this, Xiang Ling gently snatched the cookbook from Qi Shu's hand.

After resting for about half an hour, Qi Shu slowly woke up and asked, "Xiang Ling, what time is it now?"

After hearing this, Xiangling looked at Qi Shu and said in a low voice, "Your Highness, it is noon now. You have only rested for half an hour. Would you like to rest a little longer?"

After hearing this, Qi Shu looked at Xiang Ling, smiled slightly, and shook her head. A moment later, Xiang Ling brought over some tea and delicate pastries.

Qi Shu took a small sip of tea, looked at Xiang Ling, and said softly, "Xiang Ling, would you like to have some pastries with me?"

Upon hearing this, Xiangling swallowed hard and said somewhat embarrassedly, "Princess, these are your pastries. How can I, your servant Xiangling, eat your food? That's against the rules!"

"Xiangling, what's the big deal!" Qi Shu shook her head. "I can't possibly finish all these pastries, so you can help me eat some."

After hearing this, Xiangling glanced at Qi Shu, tiptoed to pick up a piece of pastry, gently took a small piece, and put it in her mouth, eating it in small bites.

"Princess, this pastry is the best I've ever eaten," Xiangling said with a light smile. "It's so delicious, so incredibly tasty!"

After Xiangling finished speaking, she took out a thin handkerchief and wrapped up the remaining half of the pastry, intending to save it for when she wanted to eat it again.

Seeing this, Qi Shu looked at Xiang Ling and asked in confusion, "Xiang Ling, there are still plenty of pastries. What are you doing?"

"Princess, I, Xiangling, was just thinking that I could take it out to eat next time I wanted to," Xiangling said shyly.

"Princess, this pastry is so delicious! I, Xiangling, can't bear to eat it all at once, so I'm saving it."

After hearing this, Qi Shu looked at Xiang Ling and said with a light smile, "Silly Xiang Ling, I still have a lot of pastries here, you can take more!"

After hearing this, Xiangling looked at Qi Shu, shook her head, and didn't know what to say.

Seeing this, Qi Shu placed the plate of pastries directly into Xiangling's hands, saying, "Here, Xiangling, these pastries are all for you!"

After hearing this, Xiangling looked at Qi Shu and shook her head. How could that be? The princess had already given her some pastries; she couldn't very well take the princess's pastries and leave.

Seeing this, Qi Shu glanced at Xiang Ling and said sternly, "Xiang Ling, how dare you refuse this princess's reward?"

"Princess, this servant Xiangling really doesn't have any," Xiangling said timidly. "I really love this pastry that was bestowed upon me!"

Suddenly, Xiangling changed the subject, "But, Princess, this pastry is also your favorite. If I, Xiangling, eat it, you won't have any left."

After hearing this, Qi Shu looked at Xiang Ling and said with a slight smile, "Xiang Ling, we've finished the pastries today, but there will be more tomorrow! Please help this princess eat some!"

After hearing this, Xiangling looked at Qi Shu and happily accepted the pastries that Qi Shu had given her.

Xiangling immediately ate a pastry in big bites, but because she ate too fast, she choked and coughed violently.

Seeing this, Qi Shu quickly brought Xiangling a cup of tea, saying, "Xiangling, have some tea to calm your nerves!"

Upon hearing this, Xiangling accepted the tea that Qi Shu offered. "Princess, thank you. How kind of you are to bring me a cup of tea."

After hearing this, Qi Shu glanced at Xiang Ling and shook her head without making a sound.

Seeing this, Xiangling took a small sip of tea, paused for a moment, looked at Qi Shu, and said with a light smile, "Princess, these pastries are so delicious, that's why I ate them so quickly."

"Silly Xiangling, these pastries are all for you," Qi Shu said with a light smile. "What, are you afraid that I, the princess, will steal your pastries?"

After hearing this, Xiangling glanced at Qi Shu and shook her head awkwardly. Seeing this, Qi Shu looked at Xiangling, and couldn't help but smile at her expression.

Time flew by, and Shen Shi led his troops to set off to search for Su Nanxuan's whereabouts.

Upon hearing this news, Qi Shu once again brought Xiang Ling to Yunlan Pavilion, also to inquire when General Shen Shi would lead his troops to depart.

On the day of departure, Qi Jingyun personally went out of the city to see Shen Shi off, and Qi Shu and Xiang Ling went along as well.

A short while later, Qi Jingyun and Qi Shu arrived outside the city. At this time, Shen Shi, dressed in military uniform, stood at the front of the group, counting the number of people.

After the headcount was completed, Shen Shi addressed his subordinates loudly.

"Our goal this time is to find General Su. Whether we find him or not, we must ensure our own safety, and not one of us should be lost."

After finishing his instructions, Shen Shi mounted his horse, ready to depart. Just then, he spotted Qi Jingyun in the crowd and quickly walked towards her.

"Princess, you've arrived!" Qi Jingyun glanced at Shen Shi and nodded with a slight smile. Shen Shi then looked at Qi Shu, "Is this Princess Mingyue?"

After hearing this, Qi Shu glanced at Shen Shi and nodded with a slight smile. However, she was still somewhat absent-minded and continued searching for that person's whereabouts among the departing crowd.

Just then, Shen Tianyi walked over, looked at Shen Shi, and asked in a low voice, "Sixth Uncle, shouldn't we be setting off now?"

After speaking, he looked at Qi Jingyun and Qi Shu and bowed, "Greetings, Your Highnesses!" Qi Jingyun waved her hand, signaling Shen Tianyi to rise.

Qi Shu stared at him, completely mesmerized; he really was that person. Seeing this, Qi Jingyun gently nudged Qi Shu.

After a short while, Qi Shu finally came to her senses and said apologetically, "General Shen, I'm sorry, I was rude!"

After hearing this, Shen Tianyi looked at Qi Shu, smiled, and said nothing.

Shen Shi glanced at Qi Jingyun, then at Qi Shu, waved his hand, turned around, mounted his tall horse, and led his men on a grand procession.

Seeing this, Qi Jingyun shouted loudly at his retreating figure, "General, I will wait for you to return. You must come back safely!"

Upon hearing this, Shen Shi waved his hand and led his subordinates off. Qi Shu silently prayed for Shen Tianyi, hoping for his safe return.
