After an unknown amount of time, Chunxing's complexion finally recovered somewhat.

Chunxing glanced at Liu, who looked particularly upset and angry, and asked timidly, "Madam, why are you so angry? Is it because Master didn't come, or has he left?"

Hearing Chunxing's words, Madam Liu seemed even angrier. She then looked at Chunxing and said coldly, "Chunxing, you shameless little slut! Do you think I'm old and faded?"

"Madam, this servant Chunxing really didn't mean it," Chunxing sobbed and repeatedly assured her. "Madam is still so young and beautiful. This servant Chunxing is really just concerned about you!"

Upon hearing this, Liu looked at Chunxing, who had spoken, with a cold smile. Hmph, if it weren't for this incompetent and troublesome maid, she would have already successfully subdued Su Lie.

And she even dared to shamelessly tell her that she was only concerned about Liu Shi. Hmph, does she need that? What she wants is a son of her own; can she even give that?

What Liu wanted was someone who could help her succeed, not someone who would prevent her from succeeding. It seems that Chunxing can no longer be kept around.

Liu took a small sip of tea, glanced at Chunxing with a cold smile, and said in a low voice.

"Chunxing, aren't you so desperate for men that you're practically going crazy? Well, I've taken pity on you and prepared a few for you. Enjoy them as they come!"

Upon hearing this, Chunxing looked at Liu in alarm. Although she had considered getting married, she wasn't willing to marry just any man.

Someone like her husband, Su Lie, is already a very good person. If he's not clean, how can she find someone better?

"Madam, please don't!" Chunxing cried and pleaded, "This servant Chun'er really knows she was wrong. I am willing to make amends and help you win back Master's heart."

After hearing this, Liu looked at Chunxing and seemed to be persuaded.

But after a moment, she looked at Chunxing with a cold face and said with a sneer, "Chunxing, you were wrong to have improper thoughts about the master. I cannot tolerate this from you!"

Chunxing, having heard Madam Liu insist that the tea must be given to Master Su Lie, knew exactly what kind of tea it was. This was hardly a secret within the large mansion.

She was betting that Master Su Lie would not refuse a woman who offered herself to him, since most men prefer young and beautiful women.

She was younger and more beautiful than Madam Liu. If Madam Liu could do it, then Chunxing could certainly do it too.

If she can successfully win over Su Lie, her status in this family will be much better than that of an ordinary maid. Even the maids who used to bully her will have to be mindful of her feelings.

If she pleases Master Su Lie, Chunxing might just become a concubine in the Su family.

But she was wrong. Master Su Lie wasn't the kind of man who only cared about looks. Otherwise, he wouldn't have only had his first wife, Madam Shen, and his current wife, Madam Liu, by his side all these years.

"Madam, I, Chunxing, really didn't do it! You must believe me!" Chunxing cried and repeatedly assured him, "If I, Chunxing, had any improper thoughts about you, sir, may I be struck by lightning and die a horrible death!"

After hearing this, Madam Liu looked at Chunxing and said sternly, "Not the best, you better watch out for me, or I'll make you look bad!"

After speaking, she waved her hand, signaling Chunxing to leave. After Chunxing left, Liu called Granny Wen to her side and instructed her...

"Granny Wen, go and find a few people to keep an eye on this maid named Chunxing."

"This person doesn't seem to be particularly well-behaved, especially when she gets close to the master. I must come and inform this lady."

After receiving the order, Granny Wen bowed and bid farewell to Madam Liu.

After leaving Qingya Garden, Granny Wen selected several clever-looking maids from among her trusted confidantes, and also found a few close friends of hers, to secretly and closely monitor Chunxing's every move.

In the first few days, Chunxing was busy with her usual tasks of serving tea and cleaning, just like always. Seeing that Chunxing didn't do anything else, the people watching her, including Granny Wen, relaxed their vigilance.

Chunxing knew perfectly well that Granny Wen and the others had been watching her every move. It seemed that Madam Liu was extremely distrustful of her.

So she deliberately did nothing to deceive Granny Wen and those who were monitoring her every move, so that they would lower their guard and become less vigilant.

One morning, Chunxing brought a bowl of lotus seed soup she had made herself to Su Lie's study. Outside the study, Chunxing gently knocked on the door.

Upon hearing the voice, Su Lie asked in a low voice, "Who's outside?"

Upon hearing this, Chunxing spoke in a low voice: "Reporting to Master, this servant is Chunxing from Madam's courtyard. I brought you lotus seed soup to help you cool down."

Upon hearing this, Su Lie suddenly remembered what had happened at Qingya Garden.

Immediately, Su Lie awkwardly said, "Oh, it's Chunxing! You can leave it outside, I'll bring it in to eat myself later."

Upon hearing this, Chunxing exclaimed, "How can this possibly work? No matter how young and beautiful she is, she can't see Master Su Lie. Even if she has a thousand tricks up her sleeve, she won't be able to get through!"

“Master, please let me, Chunxing, in,” Chunxing said earnestly. “I will certainly serve you to your satisfaction.”

Upon hearing this, Su Lie knew perfectly well that Chunxing had developed feelings for him, but he himself did not have such feelings for Chunxing.

"Chunxing, you may leave now," Su Lie said in a low voice. "There's no need for you to serve me; I don't need it!"

After hearing this, Chunxing left with a hint of resentment, putting down the lotus seed soup.

Just after Chunxing left, she was spotted by Granny Wen and others who were hiding in the shadows and immediately ran to report to Madam Liu. Upon hearing this, Madam Liu was furious.

Immediately, Madam Liu instructed Granny Wen to bring Chunxing over, and also contacted the human traffickers to come over.

After receiving the order, Granny Wen brought Chunxing. A short while later, the slave traders arrived, circling Chunxing repeatedly and nodding in satisfaction.

Upon seeing this, Chunxing was terrified. She looked at Madam Liu and pleaded, "Madam, please don't sell me, Chunxing! I will serve you like a slave for the rest of my life."

"Hmph, too late!" Liu said coldly.

"You shouldn't have harbored any improper thoughts about the master. How dare you try to compete with me for power and the master? Chunxing, do you think you're worthy?"

Chunxing was utterly shocked upon hearing this. How could Liu have known her thoughts?

Immediately, Madam Liu waved her hand, signaling the slave traders to come and take the person away. The leader of the slave traders was none other than Madam Li, the madam of the Yihong Courtyard.

Upon hearing this, the slave traders stepped forward to take Chunxing away.

Chunxing struggled fiercely, but still could not escape the control of the slave traders.

Because the people who sell human slaves are all strong, they are all big, burly men, and there are quite a lot of them.

Looking at Chunxing, who was being controlled by the slave traders, Liu sneered and said, "Chunxing, don't you like men? Are you so desperate for men that you've gone mad?"

"I wonder if you are satisfied with this generous gift I have given you? Chunxing, you should enjoy it!"

After Liu finished speaking, she smiled at Chunxing. Chunxing was led away by the slave traders, and she turned back to glare at Liu.
