Chen Yun was stunned. He never expected that Pandora's second task would be for him to harm Wang Yuyan's family.

"Wang Yuyan... Wang Kai..." Chen Yun murmured these two names repeatedly.

He joined Pandora to escape his predicament, but now he's sinking into an even deeper quagmire.

This reminded him of his childhood experience of falling into a cesspool, struggling desperately but sinking deeper and deeper, surrounded by a stench.

He scratched his hair in frustration, a sharp pain shooting through his fingertips.

Looking down, he saw that his fingernails were full of grime, just like his current mood.

He slammed his phone onto the bed. The message from his contact was still flashing on the screen: "Remember, you have no choice."

"To hell with the choice!" Chen Yun roared, feeling like his lungs were about to explode.

He rushed into the bathroom, turned on the tap, and poured the icy water over his head, but it couldn't extinguish the anxiety in his heart.

He recalled Wang Yuyan's smile, like a warm ray of sunshine in winter, illuminating his gloomy life.

How could he hurt someone connected to her just for his own selfish desires?

"No, I can't do that." Chen Yun suddenly raised his head.

He couldn't just stand by and watch Wang Kai fall into Pandora's trap.

He picked up his phone with trembling hands and dialed Wang Kai's number.

"Wang Kai, it's me, Chen Yun."

"Chen Yun? Is something wrong?" Wang Kai's voice sounded somewhat puzzled.

"I...I want to meet with you. I have something very important to tell you." Chen Yun tried hard to control his emotions and calm himself down.

"Something very important? What is it that can't be said over the phone?"

"It's hard to explain over the phone; it's best to talk in person," Chen Yun paused, then added.

"It's about you...your safety."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, then Wang Kai said, "Okay, how about the usual place at 10 a.m. tomorrow?"

"great, see you tomorrow."

After hanging up the phone, Chen Yun took a deep breath, as if a huge burden had been lifted off his shoulders.

Doing so would likely expose him and anger Pandora.

The next morning, Chen Yun arrived at the coffee shop early.

He ordered a coffee and waited anxiously for Wang Kai to arrive.

Ten minutes later, Wang Kai pushed open the door and entered.

He looked somewhat tired, with slightly dark circles under his eyes.

"Chen Yun, what's the matter that you're in such a hurry to see me?"

After Wang Kai sat down, he got straight to the point and asked.

"Wang Kai, I...I overheard some news that someone...someone wants to frame you," Chen Yun stammered. He didn't know how to explain, so he could only make up a lie.

"Framed me? Who? Why would they frame me?"

Wang Kai frowned, clearly not believing Chen Yun's words.

"I...I don't know either. I just heard some rumors that someone wants you...to get you addicted to gambling, and then...and then you'll go bankrupt."

Chen Yun became increasingly nervous as he spoke, and fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

"Gambling addiction?" Wang Kai sneered. "I never gamble. Who would want me to become addicted?"

"I...I don't know, but I really heard such rumors. You...you have to be careful," Chen Yun pleaded.

Seeing Chen Yun's anxious expression, Wang Kai couldn't help but waver.

"Chen Yun, what exactly do you know? Can you be more specific?" Wang Kai softened his tone.

Chen Yun hesitated for a moment, knowing he couldn't say too much, or he would expose his relationship with Pandora.

"I...I really can't say too much. I just want to remind you to be careful lately. Someone might deliberately approach you and set a trap for you."

Wang Kai was silent for a moment, then nodded and said:

"Okay, I'll be careful. Thank you, Chen Yun."

Chen Yun breathed a sigh of relief; Wang Kai had already believed him.

“And…” Chen Yun added.

"Recently... it's best to avoid casinos and anything related to gambling."

Wang Kai nodded again. Although he didn't believe he would become addicted to gambling, Chen Yun's reminder made him more vigilant.

Chen Yun left the coffee shop feeling heavy-hearted.

He had completely enraged Pandora, and he dared not imagine what awaited him next.

When he got home, he found his bedroom door ajar. He gently pushed it open and found the room completely dark except for the faint blue light emanating from the computer screen.

He walked to the computer, where a line of text appeared on the screen: "Do you think you've gotten away with it unnoticed? Do you think you can get away unscathed after betraying the organization?"

The scarlet text on the screen seemed to mock his foolishness, like needles piercing his nerves.

Chen Yun hurriedly shut down the computer, his heart pounding wildly in his chest.

He rushed to the door and tried to turn the doorknob, but it wouldn't budge—the door was locked from the inside.

Cold sweat instantly soaked his back.

The room lights suddenly turned on, and the blinding light made him squint instinctively.

Pandora appeared at the door with a cold smile on her face.

"Chen Yun, it's been a long time." Pandora's voice was gentle.

Looks like you had a lot of fun.

Chen Yun forced himself to calm down; panicking now would only make the situation worse.

"Pandora, let me explain..."

"explain?"

Pandora interrupted him, approaching gracefully, each step feeling like a tickle on his nerves.

"Betrayal of the organization, what other explanation is there?"

"I didn't betray you, I just..."

Chen Yun tried to explain, but found that any words seemed pale and powerless.

"Just what? Just want to protect your little lover?" Pandora smiled contemptuously.

"You think your little tricks can fool me? Who do you think you are, daring to betray me?"

Two men in black appeared silently behind Chen Yun and clamped his arms like iron clamps.

Chen Yun struggled for a moment, but found that their strength was astonishing, and he was unable to move at all.

Pandora took out her phone, tapped the screen a few times with her slender fingers, and dialed a number.

"Hey, it's me."

"Chen Yun has betrayed the organization. Send someone to deal with him."

A deep male voice came from the other end of the phone:

"Understood, I'll send someone over right away."

The brief conversation felt like a death sentence.

Chen Yun's heart sank completely; he knew he was finished.

Pandora hung up the phone, walked up to Chen Yun, and looked down at him.

"You should know very well the consequences of betraying me, right?"

Chen Yun didn't speak, but simply closed his eyes in despair.

He regretted it, regretted his impulsive act, regretted that he had underestimated Pandora's ruthlessness.

Pandora looked at Chen Yun's desperate expression and a cruel smile curled at the corner of her lips.

She reached out and gently stroked Chen Yun's cheek: "Don't worry, I'll make sure you die a 'comfortable' death."

"Pandora, you can't do this!" Chen Yun suddenly opened his eyes and roared.

"Wang Yuyan is innocent, you can't hurt her!"
