Just then, a group of dark figures darted out of the woods, moving with the speed of ghosts. Upon closer inspection, they saw that they were a group of strange creatures, about the size of wolves, with eerie red eyes that seemed to glow like flames from hell. Their sharp claws carved deep marks into the ground, as if they wanted to tear the earth apart.

Li Meng roared and charged forward, brandishing his giant axe. His blow, imbued with immense force, struck one of the monsters. The monster, however, dodged with incredible agility, then lunged at Li Meng, letting out a chilling roar. Qing Li lashed out with her long whip, which coiled around the monster's body like a serpent, violently flinging it aside. The monster crashed into a large tree, scattering leaves everywhere.

Lin Yu raised the divine artifact, and the light emanating from it momentarily intimidated the monsters, causing them to retreat a few steps. However, their greed quickly intensified, and they swarmed back, launching a relentless attack. Xiao Jinzhi continuously cast spells, unleashing fire and frost upon the monsters. The flames burned their fur, emitting a pungent, acrid smell, while the frost slowed their movements. But the monsters were numerous, advancing wave after wave, like a tidal wave, making them difficult to completely repel.

Just as the two were struggling to hold on, the sharp-eyed Qingli suddenly spotted a towering tree not far ahead, with a surprisingly spacious hollow in its thick trunk. This discovery was like a ray of dawn in the darkness, instantly igniting the flame of hope deep within Qingli's heart.
