Su Ling's Time Travel

Chapter 91 Uproar

“I know you may have some misunderstandings about me. But I don’t care, because I believe the truth will always come out. I just hope you can give me a chance to prove my innocence and sincerity.” Her voice gradually lowered, but every word was full of sincerity and strength.

A brief silence fell over the basketball court, then erupted into a commotion. People began whispering and discussing the sudden confession and declaration of reconciliation. Su Ling, however, stood there quietly, awaiting Qi Xuan's response.

……

As night fell, Su Ling sat alone by the dormitory window, gazing at the sparse starlight outside, her heart filled with mixed emotions. She recalled every moment she had spent on this campus—the joy, the sorrow, the loneliness, and the perseverance—like a long movie slowly playing in her mind.

She was originally an ordinary girl with a warm family and a deep friendship with her best friend, Qi Rong. However, all of this was shattered on that day when rumors were rampant. She didn't know who was spreading those rumors about her behind her back, making her an overnight "celebrity" on campus, someone who was pointed at, ridiculed, and ostracized.

She tried to explain and prove her innocence, but the rumors spread like wildfire and could not be contained. Qi Rong also misunderstood her because of others' misleading information, believing that she had betrayed their friendship, and from then on, they became like strangers.

Su Ling took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil in her heart. She knew that although those days were painful, she couldn't remain immersed in the shadows of the past forever. She wanted to clear her name, to prove her innocence and sincerity.

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains and fell on Su Ling's face. She opened her eyes, a resolute light shining within them. She knew what she had to do; she was going to face the misunderstandings and ridicule, and prove her innocence with her actions.

She entered the classroom to find her desk completely destroyed, books scattered all over the floor. A surge of anger welled up inside her, but she forced herself to remain calm. She knew this was the work of those who were prejudiced against her, and she couldn't let them get away with it.

Just then, a figure walked into the classroom—it was You Yingxiao. She saw Su Ling's desk was damaged, and a flicker of surprise and sympathy crossed her eyes. But she quickly regained her indifferent expression, as if it were all none of her business.

"Su Ling, is this your desk? How did it get so badly damaged?" she asked, feigning concern, but her tone betrayed a hint of schadenfreude.

Su Ling gave her a cold look but didn't answer. She knew You Yingxiao didn't genuinely care about her; she just wanted to see her make a fool of herself. She bent down and began to tidy up the books and stationery on the floor.

"Hmph, I knew you'd do this. Do you think silence will solve the problem? Let me tell you, the more silent you are, the more people will think you're guilty." Seeing this, You Yingxiao mocked even more smugly.

Su Ling paused, then raised her head, staring intently at You Yingxiao: "I don't need to explain to anyone whether I'm guilty or not. Because I know my innocence and sincerity. And you, You Yingxiao, you're just a pathetic wretch who enjoys watching others make fools of themselves."

After saying that, she ignored You Yingxiao's reaction and continued packing her things. You Yingxiao, on the other hand, stood there stunned. She hadn't expected Su Ling to retaliate like that, and for a moment she was at a loss for words.

After packing her things, Su Ling went straight to another corner of the classroom, where there was an empty table. She sat down without hesitation and began preparing for class. Her actions attracted the attention of the other students, but they only glanced at her curiously and didn't say anything.

However, the calm didn't last long. Shortly after the school bell rang, Qi Rong and several other girls entered the classroom. They saw Su Ling sitting in the corner, and a hint of surprise and displeasure flashed in their eyes.

"Su Ling, why are you sitting there? That's my seat." Qi Rong walked up to Su Ling and said in a questioning tone.

Su Ling raised her head and glanced at Qi Rong indifferently: "There's an empty seat here, so I'll sit down. Is there such a thing as a reserved seat in the classroom?"

Qi Rong was taken aback by Su Ling's answer. She hadn't expected Su Ling to respond that way. She glared at Su Ling, wanting to lash out but holding back. She knew that causing trouble in the classroom would only make her more embarrassed.

"Fine, you're right. But don't think you can get away with your problems like this. You haven't resolved the issue of betraying your friendship yet," Qi Rong said coldly, then sat down next to Su Ling.

Su Ling didn't respond to Qi Rong's words. She simply opened her textbook silently and began to listen to the lesson. She knew Qi Rong had a deep misunderstanding of her, but she didn't intend to explain anything here. She wanted to prove her innocence and sincerity through her actions.

When the bell rang, Qi Rong and several other girls left the classroom. Su Ling, however, stayed behind, wanting to talk to Qi Xuan. She knew Qi Xuan was Qi Rong's good friend and someone she had been secretly watching. She hoped Qi Xuan would give her a chance to explain everything.
