"Your Majesty the Empress is mistaken." Just then, a clear voice broke the commotion in the court. Everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw a woman dressed in magnificent brocade robes slowly walking out; it was Li Qinghe.

Li Qinghe smiled, her gaze resolute. She knew her situation was extremely difficult, but she still chose to stand up and defend herself and her allies.

“Although my department has made occasional mistakes, they are not repeated. If Your Majesty has any dissatisfaction, you may speak frankly. Why make a fuss over this?” Li Qinghe’s words revealed a hint of sharpness and determination.

He knew he had to stop this court dispute, otherwise it would cause incalculable damage to the country.

Upon hearing this, the officials all looked terrified and bowed their heads in apology. They knew the emperor was telling the truth, and that any further disputes would surely result in severe punishment.

Su Ling and Li Qinghe both looked embarrassed. They knew that their struggle in the court had aroused the emperor's displeasure and anger. Therefore, they both chose to back down and compromise.
