Su Ling's Time Travel

Chapter 28 The Turbulent Times Rise Again in the Prince's Mansion

She summoned her maid, Hongxin, intending to begin by reforming the rules of the Prince's mansion. Hongxin hurried into the room, her expression tinged with fear. She had once been one of the most favored maids in the mansion, but now, facing Su Ling's cold gaze, she felt unprecedented pressure.

"Red Heart, do you know your mistake?" Su Ling's voice was as cold as ice, making Red Heart tremble involuntarily.

"Your Highness...this servant...this servant does not know what wrong I have done..." Hongxin knelt on the ground, her voice trembling with sobs.

“Ignorance of the rules is a grave mistake.” Su Ling stood up and walked to Hong Xin. “In the Prince’s mansion, rules are paramount. As a maid, you have repeatedly offended me. What is your punishment?”

Upon hearing this, Hongxin felt a surge of fear. She knew that Su Ling was no longer the weak and easily bullied princess. She had become a woman filled with hatred and a desire for revenge, a powerful woman capable of controlling the affairs of the royal palace.

"Your Highness... I know I was wrong... Please forgive me, Your Highness..." Hongxin cried out, hoping to gain Su Ling's forgiveness.

However, Su Ling merely stared at her coldly, unmoved. "Spare my life? Hmph, rules cannot be broken, otherwise the Prince's mansion will be in chaos. Since you don't understand the rules, then go to the woodshed to reflect on your actions."

After saying this, Su Ling turned and left, leaving Hong Xin alone on the ground, weeping bitterly. She knew that this was only the beginning of her efforts to reorganize the Prince's Mansion; she had many more plans to implement.

Next, Su Ling promoted Fen Die to head maid. Fen Die was a clever, quick-witted, and thoughtful girl who had always been loyal to Su Ling, but had been neglected because of Hong Mei's favor. Now, Su Ling's promotion of Fen Die to head maid was undoubtedly a sign of trust and recognition for her.

Upon hearing the news, Pink Butterfly was filled with gratitude and excitement. She knew this was the best opportunity to repay Su Ling's kindness. Therefore, she worked even harder, managing the affairs of the Prince's mansion for Su Ling and becoming her most capable assistant.

However, Hongmei was dissatisfied with Su Ling's actions. She had once been the most favored maid in the palace, but now she had been demoted to a second-class maid and imprisoned. Filled with anger and resentment, she decided to confront Su Ling and demand an explanation.

So, Hongmei found Su Ling and knelt before her. "Your Highness, I know I was wrong... Please, Your Highness, have mercy and release me..." Her voice was trembling with sobs and pleading.

However, Su Ling merely stared at her coldly, unmoved. "Wrong? Hmph, do you even know where you went wrong?" Her voice carried a hint of mockery and indifference.

“This servant…this servant shouldn’t have offended the Princess…” Hongmei lowered her head, her voice trembling slightly.

"Offend me? Hmph, your biggest mistake is not knowing the rules. In the Prince's mansion, rules are paramount. As a maid, you have repeatedly challenged my authority. What is your punishment?" Su Ling's voice grew colder and colder, making Hong Mei feel unprecedented pressure.

"Your Highness... I really know I was wrong... Please forgive me this time..." Hongmei cried out, hoping to gain Su Ling's forgiveness.

However, Su Ling merely sneered and turned to leave. "Spare you? Hmph, rules cannot be broken. Since you don't understand the rules, then go to the woodshed to reflect on your actions. You'll be released when you understand the rules."

After saying that, Su Ling left the room without looking back, leaving Hong Mei alone on the floor, weeping bitterly. She knew that her journey to govern the Prince's mansion had only just begun, and many more challenges awaited her.

The servants, including Pink Butterfly, were dissatisfied with Hongmei's behavior, believing that Su Ling's actions were correct. In the Prince's mansion, rules were indeed paramount. If everyone challenged the Princess's authority like Hongmei, the mansion would descend into chaos.

They all expressed their support for Su Ling's decision and their willingness to serve her. Looking at these loyal servants, Su Ling felt a surge of warmth in her heart. She knew she was not fighting alone; she had these loyal companions supporting her.

However, Su Ling also knew that her series of actions would inevitably provoke a reaction from Bai Yanxuan. She awaited his arrival, his anger, and his questioning. She knew it would be a difficult battle, but she was prepared.

As night fell, the lights in the Northern Prince's mansion gradually went out. Su Ling sat in her room, quietly awaiting Bai Yanxuan's arrival. Her heart was filled with determination and resolve; she knew that she had to win this battle.

Finally, footsteps sounded outside the door. Su Ling knew it was Bai Yanxuan. She stood up, walked to the door, and quietly waited for his arrival.

The door was pushed open, and Bai Yanxuan walked in. His face was filled with anger and accusation as he looked at Su Ling. "Su Ling, what are you doing? Why are you punishing Hongxin? Why are you locking Hongmei up?" His voice was tinged with anger and dissatisfaction.

Su Ling looked at Bai Yanxuan, a cold glint in her eyes. "Your Highness, are you questioning me? Don't forget, I am the Princess Consort of this manor, and I have the right to decide everything in the manor." Her voice carried a firm and unquestionable tone.
