"Inner demons?" Bai Huang stared at the other 'self' and saw the crimson flames burning beneath its feet. Just as the Flame Emperor had said, it was a strange flame that used the deepest evil thoughts in its heart as nourishment.

"Inner demons?" She chuckled softly, rubbing the tips of her nails. "You could say that for now, but soon, I will be the true White Phoenix!"

She took a step forward. "Bai Huang, I have to thank you for this. If you hadn't brought me the fire seed and helped me grow stronger, I might not have woken up yet."

Bai Huang conjured an ice sword and, without a word, thrust it fiercely at the inner demon.

A strange smile played on her lips as she opened her arms and let the ice sword pierce her body.

"puff!"

A mouthful of warm blood spurted out, but it wasn't from her inner demons; it was from Bai Huang herself.

The ice sword pierced through the demon's body, but it was she who was injured.

Bai Huang felt as if her internal organs had been ripped apart. Her face was deathly pale, and she squatted on the spot, covered in cold sweat.

Sweat dripped from her forehead and into her eyes, making them sting and hurt. She looked up and saw a pair of black boots standing in front of her.

The inner demon's voice rang out above her head, "Bai Huang, look at your pathetic state. I am you. If you hurt me, you are hurting yourself."

"Besides, I don't have a physical form right now." The inner demon lifted the hem of her skirt and twirled around triumphantly twice. "You can't hurt me."

“But!” She lowered the hem of her skirt, her tone suddenly turning sharp as she glared at Bai Huang and said, word by word, “I can kill you!”

Bai Huang felt a sudden pain on her head and was lifted up.

The inner demon grabbed her hair, lifted her up, and forced her to look at him.

"No one knows you better than me!" The inner demon kicked Bai Huang in the chest with all his might. Bai Huang felt as if hundreds of silver needles had been pierced into her brain. The pain was so intense that she bent over and covered her head.

The inner demon grabbed her collar, flipped her over, and straddled her. His clear eyes slowly turned blood red, his expression utterly cold. "You, Bai Huang, are just putting on an act, pretending to be more confident than anyone else, acting like you're fearless? Are you really not afraid of death?"

She raised her fist high and punched Bai Huang in the face.

It has to be said that it is indeed her own inner demon, even her fighting style is like hers.

Rough like a man!

Bai Huang was hit hard twice on the face, and blood splattered from her nose onto her clothes.

"You're clearly more afraid of death than anyone else, so stop pretending to be indifferent!"

The inner demon mocked loudly, grabbing Bai Huang's neck and choking her tightly, "You're clearly more afraid of being alone than anyone else. Oh right, I forgot, you seem to have friends in this world, don't you?"

She burst into laughter, and with a wave of her hand, hundreds of ice needles materialized behind her.

"Bai Huang, I think you've forgotten. Just because you've changed bodies, you think you're not the same cursed star you used to be? Those who liked you and were close to you all ended up dying tragically, didn't they?" The inner demon stood up, its toes touching the ground, and danced joyfully in the darkness. "When you were little, in the orphanage, no one liked you, and no one wanted to adopt you."

"Later, someone finally agreed to take you, but it turned out he was just a crazy experimenter who was using you as a test subject."

The inner demon's eyes burned with crimson flames, which were growing stronger little by little.

Bai Huang felt a wave of dizziness.

The power of her inner demons reminded her of her deepest fears; it was as if she had returned to her childhood, a time forever filled with the smell of medicine and the lights of the operating table.

When she was adopted out of the orphanage, she really thought she would have a happy childhood and a complete family.

But all he did was go from a pitiful little orphan to a lab rat.

Bai Huang suddenly clutched her neck. Even though the inner demon had already stood up, she felt as if someone was still tightly choking her, making it impossible for her to breathe.

"Fortunately, you're tough. That test subject was eventually caught, and you went from being a guinea pig to a formidable special agent. But what about your friends? One by one, they met tragic ends while on missions. I remember the one who died the worst was your mentor, right? What made you decide to become a special police officer? And an undercover agent too?"

The inner demon let out an exaggerated laugh, "In the end, the other party found out. That was real torture. After he died, there was no one to even collect his body."

Her master's tragic death was the deepest wound in Bai Huang's heart. She gritted her teeth and cried out, "Ah!"

With a loud shout, she slammed her head against the ground, her heart feeling as if it were being gripped tightly by a hand, pain engulfing her entire body. "Shut up! Shut up!"

She screamed at her inner demons with all her might!

Blood stained her eyes, and through her blurred vision, she seemed to see the horrific scene of discovering her master's body that day.

"Why should I shut up?" The inner demon's face suddenly twisted into a ferocious expression. With a wave of his hand, hundreds of ice needles, ready to be unleashed, pierced fiercely towards her.

Her blood seemed to freeze, and Bai Huang felt as if she were trapped in layers of ice and snow. The cooling on her body was still not as intense as the chill in her heart.

"I didn't kill your master, and I didn't harm your friend either!" the inner demon retorted sharply, squatting down and grabbing her chin to force her to look up. He said, "Your master sacrificed his life to dispel the malice and filth in this world, but have you ever thought that those with power and influence are still recklessly ignoring the bottom line of this world?"

She leaned close and whispered seductively, "Bai Huang, when those people are sleeping soundly at home counting money stained with blood, do they ever think about how some people have lost their families and friends because of them? Don't you think this world is utterly disgusting?"

Her words were suggestive, so suggestive that Bai Huang began to gag.

This is more powerful than any mystical technique or martial art.

The questioning, emanating from her very soul, left her speechless.

"You're too kind." The inner demon gently stroked her cheek, and Bai Huang actually felt the warmth of her palm, making her completely fall for it. The inner demon looked into her eyes, his eyes seemed to light up, pulling Bai Huang, like a moth drawn into a net, into it.

“But I’m different.” The inner demon curled his lips and chuckled. “I will take your place and make this world clean. Those who shouldn’t exist in this world, I will take care of them one by one.”

"As long as you are willing to accept me, and besides, we are one." The crimson flames on the inner demon's body gradually spread out, enveloping Bai Huang completely. "As long as you stop rejecting me and agree that what I say is right, then I will help you to completely clean up this world."

"So... will you accept me?" The inner demon moved closer to her, his forehead touching Bai Huang's. "I will help you."
