Captain, your ship has exploded again.

Chapter 2 Door-to-Door Delivery

After Zhang Xun and Ripley discussed it, they went to find Lieutenant William.

"I will descend to planet 426 with you in a moment."

"Why?" Lieutenant William asked, somewhat curiously.

Why? If I don't go, you'll all be left on the planet! Zhang Xun spread his hands and said, "Anyway, I have nothing to do on the ship."

William thought about it and agreed. After all, Zhang Xun had a higher official rank than him. Although he couldn't command him, he didn't want to offend Zhang Xun.

Sitting inside the vehicle, it felt much larger than in the movie; the vehicle itself was nearly 9 meters long, and the airdrop ship was about 18 meters long.

It doesn't feel cramped at all. As expected of an American product, whether it's easy to use or not is another matter, but comfort is definitely a must.

He sat down next to Ripley and saw Carter's tense expression. He wondered when to kill the thing so it wouldn't be a liability.

The sergeant arrived at Zhang Xun's position, checked the safety equipment, and said, "Captain, it's very unwise for you to act with us."

"When the ship went missing on April 426, I was watching it from above. Most of the warship's functions can operate automatically, so it doesn't matter where I am."

"You can't expect me to fire a shot at you with the cannons on my ship, wiping out both the enemy and you all, can you?"

The sergeant's skin tone concealed his complexion well; you can't really tell anything from a patch of black.

"OK, Bishop, let's go." Zhang Xun felt the troop transport vehicle move, and after it entered the airdrop ship and came to a stop, he heard the launch command after a slight jolt.

"5..4..3..2..1 Launch." The powerful feeling of bungee jumping spread throughout his body. Few people in Zhang Xun's world had ever experienced a space jump, so he simply passed out.

"The captain has arrived!" Zhang Xun woke up with a jolt and wiped the drool from his mouth.

"I didn't realize you were as daring as Hicks, Captain."

Zhang Xun nodded sheepishly and replied, "So-so."

He got up and went to the lieutenant's monitor.

"Is that the air handling unit?" Ripley asked.

“That’s right, it’s top-of-the-line technology, fully automated. We produce these things too,” Carter said.

Zhang Xun stared at the high-tech buildings outside the surveillance camera, drooling (well, he hadn't wiped his mouth clean while sleeping, it wasn't from cravings).

The thought of bringing this technology back would make me rich. Even if I couldn't return to my original world, I could still use the technology to trade with other worlds when I was in another world.

"Fly slowly around the building," Zhang Xun said, watching the monitor.

"The structure is basically intact and has electricity, preventing external enemy attacks."

The others looked at Zhang Xun strangely.

“Why do you think there are enemies?” Carter asked.

"The buildings you see are basically intact, and here..."

Zhang Xun pointed to a single tower-like object.

"This should be a communications tower in the colony, right? It looks mostly intact, but we can't make any calls. There's no one outside, and the window shutters are up. We can be pretty sure the enemy breached the base from the inside."

Everyone felt that what they heard made a lot of sense.

The airdrop ship shook for a moment before landing near the base.

Zhang Xun gave the order through the headset: after the delivery is completed, close the cabin and set the alert level to "Charlie?". Do not leave the cabin or open the cabin door unless necessary.

"Roger that!"

The troop transport vehicle then drove away from the airdrop ship. Zhang Xun knew that the initial colony was still safe, but he did not dare to get out of the troop transport vehicle, so he watched the Marine Corps' body surveillance together.

Watching the Marines enter the colony on the monitor, he leisurely sat down to the side and prepared some water for himself.

It's a pity there were no melon seeds, otherwise I could have eaten while watching. Hmm, I'll prepare some snacks when I have the chance. This kind of safe and guaranteed personal experience must have a good viewing experience to be a qualified Chinese melon eater.

At this point, Ripley said, "Hicks, back camera, move to the right."

Looking at the alien blood corroding the floor and ceiling on the screen, Zhang Xun said into the walkie-talkie, "Sergeant, your mission is confirmed: it's alien pest control."

This statement made all the Marines tense.

Watching the tense Marines on the monitor, Zhang Xunmei took a sip of water.

You soldiers look down on me? You new colonel, you've got some nerve!

I'm not afraid of anything, I can scare you to death with just a splash of water.

After the Marines confirmed it was safe, the troop transport vehicle drove to the south gate. Zhang Xun got out of the vehicle wearing a communication headset, tightened his clothes, and looked at the colony.

What an annoying feeling! It's broad daylight and it's still gloomy and rainy. And now, as this group of people walks towards the base, it feels like a delivery person is coming to our door.

"The weather here is caused by the moisture brought out by the atmospheric processing machine. Even when the weather is good, it's not very bright during the day," Carter explained as he walked into the colony.

Looking at Ripley's strange behavior, Zhang Xun scratched his head and thought, "If someone is delivered to a store without resistance, they're a delivery person. If they resist, shout, or even explode, they're a ruthless thug. Should we then shout 'FBI, open the door'?"

"Sir, they've sealed off both ends of the area, blocked the hatches, and blocked the stairs with heavy objects," a Marine reported.

"It seems their struggles haven't been very effective!" Zhang Xun observed his surroundings.

Are there any bodies?

"There is no officer."

Zhang Xun then asked, "Was the food storage damaged?"

"No, the storage room has plenty of food."

"It seems our enemy has abducted everyone from the base but didn't take any food. The situation is dire!"

Those few words were enough to terrify everyone present.

When everyone arrived at the laboratory and saw more than 30 culture tanks, Zhang Xun's scalp tingled as he exclaimed, "This number! What are the colonies going to do?"

Is he crazy or just living too well? He wants to take shortcuts in life.

We have something to report.

Zhang Xun heard the shouts and came to the vicinity, looking at the motion tracker in the soldier's hand.

Here she is! Rebecca, a survivor. She survived in the original storyline with a base of over 150 people, and now she's still alive with over 300 people. The world's ability to correct itself is truly remarkable!

A group of Marines and Ripley walked out of the laboratory, but Zhang Xun did not follow them. He was not interested in following a little girl, who was not a giant panda.

It's more fun to tease the surviving facehuggers. Looking at the five live facehuggers, Zhang Xun reached out and knocked them awake, sighing.

"So, we're unarmed, with just a small pistol. We could use some grenades to blow this place up, but we're worried that if we don't kill them all, they might escape. It seems we'll have to rely on Ripley."

As a non-combatant, carrying a handgun is acceptable, but carrying a high-powered weapon is not normal. Imagine going out with a stick; that's fine, but if you carry a big knife and look around, you'll probably be pinned to the ground very quickly.

Thinking about this, we still have to use the protagonist as a shield. It's a protagonist-branded riot shield. If you dodge it well, even the rogue warriors will scratch their heads when they come.

Upon arriving at the control room and looking at the little girl in Ripley's arms, he spoke to the corporal beside him.

"This little guy is running around between the hatches. You know, the people at the base put up the barriers and obstacles, right? They were only meant to stop the elephants from getting through, weren't they?"

Hicks pondered for a moment and said, "You mean the enemy is adept at moving in confined spaces and has considerable intelligence?"

Seeing that Hicks was quite perceptive, he said, "We'll only know once we encounter them."

Zhang Xun then went to the laboratory and watched the bishop handle the facehugger corpse. "Any findings?"

"Their structure is very ingenious."

"The report says that it is possible to survive in the space environment because it is only for the dead, and the blood that is preserved has very low corrosiveness."

"The report mentioned that some people in the colony died from acid corrosion during the removal of the carcass, and each of them had a cavity, so it's unknown how they fared in life."

Looking at the five surviving facehuggers in the culture jar, Zhang Xun said, "You'd better not handle the live ones by yourself. Can I order you to dispose of these bugs?"

"Yes, but it can only proceed after I have reviewed it and confirmed it with Mr. Carter."

Well, that's a lost cause. It's more practical to find time to kill Carter.
