Sang Luan frowned slightly and turned her body slightly to the side, seeing that there was nowhere left to retreat behind her.
"Since you know, then give it back to me." Feng Hengzhi's voice was cold as he reached out his hand to Sang Luan again. "Don't test my patience any further."
Sang Luan's body was already pressed against the sedan chair, her amber eyes darting around, but she still couldn't understand what Feng Hengzhi wanted.
"What do you want me to return to you?" Sang Luan asked tentatively.
To everyone's surprise, as soon as she finished speaking, Feng Hengzhi's eyes instantly turned bloodthirsty.
He stared intently at Sang Luan, his tone full of impatience, "Stop pretending to be stupid. You're the only one who's touched me since you got into the sedan chair."
Sang Luan was silent for a moment, then said, "Tell me what exactly is missing!"
Seeing her innocent expression, Feng Hengzhi felt even more irritated.
Feng Hengzhi lowered his eyes slightly, his eyes seemingly filled with endless anger, and said, word by word, "Jade pendant."
He pointed to his waist.
Sang Luan followed Feng Hengzhi's gaze, and her brow relaxed considerably.
When she first met Feng Heng, he did indeed seem to have a delicate jade pendant hanging from his waist.
The jade pendant was of excellent quality; it was clearly a top-grade item.
Sang Luan looked away silently as her gaze fell on Feng Hengzhi's eyes, which seemed to want to devour her.
“It wasn’t me.” Sang Luan turned her head to the side.
Feng Hengzhi's eyes narrowed, and he suddenly reached out and grabbed Sang Luan's wrist, the veins on the back of his hand bulging.
"Ah!" Sang Luan cried out in surprise as her wrist stung.
Her other hand instinctively reached out to grasp the wrist that Feng Hengzhi was holding. Her soft, boneless hand instantly covered his large, thick hand, and she felt a chill.
Feng Hengzhi moved closer, staring at Sang Luan with a sinister look. "I said, give it to me."
A look of disbelief flashed across Sang Luan's eyes.
Did this person automatically mute her voice?
The pain in her wrist intensified, and she hissed, trying to pull her wrist away from those thick, large hands.
However, the moment she moved slightly, Feng Hengzhi tightened his grip even more.
"Let go first." She spoke suddenly, enduring the pain in her wrist, "You're hurting me."
"If it's not you, then who else could it be?" Feng Hengzhi's voice was cold.
His expression suggested that he was certain the person in front of him was the thief.
“There were many people at the palace banquet just now, and quite a few people came to toast you one after another.” Sang Luan took a deep breath and said with great difficulty, “They might have left some in the palace.”
After saying that, Feng Hengzhi hesitated for a moment, and the strength in his hand lessened.
She quickly pressed her advantage, saying, "It might still be in time to go now."
Feng Hengzhi narrowed his eyes and stared at her for a few seconds. He noticed that the corners of her eyes were already tinged with red, her face was innocent, and her tone was sincere.
It doesn't seem like he's lying.
Feng Hengzhi snorted coldly and flung her hand away forcefully.
Sang Luan immediately felt much more relaxed and quickly reached out to cover her wrist, gently rubbing it.
She glanced down unintentionally and her gaze instantly fell on the wrist he was holding; her once snow-white skin was now completely red.
Upon closer inspection, there appears to be some redness and swelling, with traces of blood seeping from the affected area.
"How delicate." Feng Hengzhi withdrew his hand, took a step back, and straightened his clothes.
"Stop the sedan chair." He lifted a corner of the curtain and spoke calmly.
Sang Luan noticed that the sedan chair had indeed stopped.
Feng Hengzhi bent down slightly, and as soon as he lifted his foot, he stopped abruptly. "You'd better pray you find it."
Sang Luan blinked frantically, looking completely innocent.
Seeing that Feng Hengzhi had finally gotten out of the sedan chair, Sang Luan felt that the air around her was much fresher.
She fell backward, and before she could even exhale completely, a gust of cold wind blew in from the front. Her eyelids twitched, and she scrambled to her feet.
It met Feng Hengzhi's deep, dark eyes.
"Brother Hengzhi, what's wrong?" Sang Luan asked with a smile.
Feng Hengzhi glanced at her and said, "You come along too."
Sang Luan chuckled, "Me? I think I'll pass."
Feng Hengzhi gave her a deep look before leaving with his hands behind his back.
Just as Sang Luan was wondering why the other party was being so agreeable today, she saw the sedan curtain being lifted again.
In the blink of an eye, two maids rushed up and, without saying a word, stepped forward and grabbed her arms. "Young Madam, please forgive us."
Sang Luan suddenly stood up straight. "Hey, hey, I can walk by myself, I can walk by myself."
The two immediately loosened their grip, and Sang Luan rubbed her arm as she walked out.
What's wrong with the people here? They all hit so hard.
She knew that Feng Hengzhi wasn't someone who could be easily fooled.
Her eyes darkened slightly; it seemed that matter needed to be expedited.
Sang Luan had just stepped out of the sedan chair when she bumped right into Feng Hengzhi.
A gust of cold wind swept over her, making her neck feel cold.
Sang Luan raised her head slightly, her eyes sparkling, "Brother Hengzhi..."
She had barely reached out her hand, and before she could finish speaking, Feng Hengzhi walked straight into the palace.
She slowly lowered her hand and uttered the last word leisurely, "Brother..."
Logically, now that she is married to Feng Hengzhi, she should call him "husband".
But Feng Hengzhi wouldn't let her call him that no matter what.
She gazed at a star on the horizon and couldn't help but imagine that if someone called Feng Hengzhi "husband," he would look at that person with deep affection, hold their hand, and softly call them "wife."
Sang Luan couldn't help but tremble, rubbing her arms which were already covered in goosebumps.
The scene was too beautiful for her to imagine.
Sure enough, the dating process for ordinary people is completely unsuitable for Feng Hengzhi, who suffers from severe mania.
She gazed at the anxious figure ahead and gestured with her hand in the air.
With broad shoulders and narrow hips, he stood with one hand behind his back, exuding the air of a refined and noble young master from afar. He radiated an aura of nobility, along with a hint of unapproachability.
Sang Luan glanced ahead casually and didn't see another sedan chair. It seemed that the two people had already returned to the mansion.
She silently withdrew her gaze and quickly followed, "Brother Hengzhi, wait for me."
Inside the Linde Hall.
Most of the people had already left, with only a few still inside the hall drinking and chatting. At such a palace banquet, it was inevitable that some people would drink until their faces were red and their necks were thick.
Seeing Feng Hengzhi suddenly enter, many people wanted to step forward and get to know him better, but when they saw his cold face and the intimidating aura he exuded, they immediately gave up the idea.
One by one, they immediately found an excuse to leave the place quickly.
Sang Luan looked at the hall, which had become much emptier in an instant, and couldn't help but glance at Feng Hengzhi in front of her. How did he manage to make so many people feel intimidated?
Feng Hengzhi paused slightly, turning to look at her with a furrowed brow.
Sang Luan straightened up instantly, and just as she was about to speak, a crisp sound came from under her feet.
