The waiter didn't know what Yang Chu meant, but he still answered truthfully, "Sir, you said you just wanted something to eat when you came in, so we served you the usual meal. Is there a problem?"

Yang Chu smiled awkwardly, waved his hand, and said, "No, you can go ahead and do your work!"

After the waiter left, Yang Chu picked up his water glass to take a sip, only to find Jiang Haokun, Jiang Lai, and Gan Jing staring at him.

Yang Chu paused for about three seconds, then picked up his water glass and raised it to Gan Jing and the others, indicating that they were busy and he wouldn't go over.

Jiang Haokun and Gan Jing nodded to Yang Chu, but neither spoke nor came over to greet him.

But Jiang Lai kept looking at Yang Chu, and even when Jiang Haokun and Gan Jing spoke to her, Jiang Lai seemed not to hear them.

Jiang Lai stared at Gan Jing with a dark face and said, "The pain of loved ones? I don't feel how much pain my loved ones are in! The joy of enemies? I feel like my enemies are acting as if nothing has happened."

After saying that, she stared intently at Jiang Haokun, as if to see if he would become angry or embarrassed.

But Gan Jing continued, "What about the person in your heart? Will you really miss out? I've met Yang Chu quite a few times, and he's a really good person with good qualities in all aspects. Are you really going to miss out?"

Jiang Lai looked at Gan Jing with some surprise.
