Boonie Bears: Another World Fantasy

Chapter 97 The Rise of the Deer Knight (Part 1)

Heavy breathing echoed in the empty center of the stage, as if each breath required the utmost effort. Sharp's body began to tremble uncontrollably, sweat soaking his forehead, but he still struggled to keep himself from collapsing.

As his consciousness was gradually eroded and controlled, he slowly lost the ability to feel pain, and his once clear vision was gradually covered by blood. He tried to blink his eyes to regain his clarity, but to no avail.

"Sharp... Sharp! Cheer up..."

Naya's voice kept him at his most basic level of sanity; she tried to rouse him, but to no avail. Sharp only felt a warm sensation from behind, and then heard Lefie's gentle voice: "Forget her voice, get some rest, you're already very tired."

Lefère's fingers gently traced Sharp's cheek, his tone full of concern and seduction, as if he were coaxing a tired child to sleep.

"Lefève!"

A furious roar echoed through the air as Naya decisively detached herself from Sharp's body, appearing before Anar Lefève with her remaining will and energy.

She drew back the gleaming bow, the burning arrow aimed directly at the puppeteer, her eyes gleaming with unwavering determination.

"Naya, even now, are you still going to oppose me?" Lefie asked softly, having never taken this junior seriously from the beginning.

Naya gritted her teeth and said, "As the high priest of the Deer Clan, you're doing such dirty things behind the scenes, Lefi, wake up!"

Lefève shook his head slightly and sighed, "Like most people who chose to follow Mus, there's no turning back now. It's been like that ever since the civil war started..."

She took a few steps forward and stood opposite Naya.

Naya glared at Lefie, her bowstring taut, ready to fire at any moment.

"That's settled then. I have nothing to say to you." A ruthless glint flashed in Naya's eyes. The bowstring trembled, and an arrow filled with flowing light energy was shot towards the puppeteer.

Lefève sneered and said disdainfully, "Come on—I don't even know how many times I've fought you before..."

The shockwave from the explosion shook the stage in the void. Lefie burst out of the flames and engaged in a fierce battle with Naya.

"..." Sharp, who was hanging upside down in mid-air, knew that she wanted to fight Lefie to the death, but he could not help her at the moment and could only watch helplessly as she faced danger.

It's happening again... Sharp, why do you always stand by and do nothing when others need you the most?

Thousands upon thousands of traction ropes intertwined, forming several thick, serpentine monsters that lunged at Naya with bared fangs and claws.

Naya slowly exhaled, raised her bow to the sky, and shot an arrow. The flowing energy emanating from the arrow instantly formed a halo that engulfed the snakes, rapidly corroding their bodies like strong acid until they were reduced to ashes.

However, even more serpentine creatures emerged from all directions, roaring and hissing as they launched an even fiercer attack on Naya. Naya fought them off relentlessly, but their sheer number was overwhelming; as soon as one wave turned to ashes, another would immediately regenerate.

When the last arrow was used, Naya's hand only touched the stale air inside the quiver...

"!!"

Taking advantage of her distraction, the snake-like creature darted in and swiftly cut in.

Clang! Naya raised her longbow horizontally, desperately blocking the powerful attack. In an instant, the giant serpentine shape dissolved, transforming into Lefie's penetrating fist.

Along with the fragments of the broken bow, Naya was violently sent flying, her already fragile body becoming even more mutilated.

Dust billowed from the corner of the stage, and Naya lay in the pit, unable to stand up for a long time.

“I originally thought that separating your consciousness from your body would make you behave better… but now it seems that I can only erase all your remaining consciousness—” Lefie raised her right hand, and the puppeteer behind her followed her movement, slowly raising his right fist.

"Goodbye, Naya... oh no, I should say, never again."

“Lefebvre! Fuck you!!” Sharp roared hysterically, struggling desperately. Even though his skin was torn and bloody, he still stubbornly tried to break free of the net that tightly bound him.

He absolutely could not allow himself to witness Naya suffer such despair and pain again.

"Don't push your luck," Lefie sneered, her eyes filled with contempt. As her fingers began to move slightly, the puppeteer's control over the tethers sharpened like knives, mercilessly slicing through Sharp's body, trying to tear him to pieces.

Sharp's bones made a chilling cracking sound, as if they were about to break at any moment. His blood flowed everywhere, almost draining his life force.

Just then, Lefebvre suddenly heard a faint but familiar voice.

“Maviya…”

She turned her head in surprise, her eyes searching around.

Finally, she saw Naya. Sometime during the night, Naya had somehow managed to stand up again, her body swaying precariously, as fragile as a candle flickering in the wind. Yet, her eyes were unusually calm, revealing an indescribable resolve.

"Mavia—" Naya called softly in the Deer Tribe language, her voice low but full of power.

Lefie stared at Naya in shock, a nameless fear rising in her heart. She had never seen Naya so determined, so resilient. This girl, who had once been weak and helpless, was now displaying unimaginable strength.

"Mavia!" As the shouts grew louder, Naya raised her arms and called out, as if calling the name of a key person.

Lefie certainly knew the name. Mavia was the first member of the Deer Clan to be chosen by the Golden Antlers and appointed a Templar Knight. Over time, this great woman had become a totem of the Deer Clan, a symbol. When enemies attacked, everyone would place their hopes in her—calling out her name. They believed she was still protecting them, protecting the entire Deer Clan…

"First Knight Mavia...please use my broken body as you please, to save my loved ones...even if it means burning my life away..." Naya stood alone on the stage, silently uttering her final declaration. With endless sorrow and resolve, she was prepared to disappear from this world completely.

By this time, Naya's hands were burned beyond recognition by the golden flames, but she still held them tightly to her chest, releasing her last bit of strength. Her gaze never left the attacking serpentine monsters, her small body shielding them.

The entire stage… no, the entire illusion trembled, and an unknown gale swept across the land, as if in response to Naya’s call.

……

At this moment, in an extremely secluded border forest, inside a stone building beneath the Abyss Throne Chamber, the remaining Deer Clan members gradually emerged from the cave.

"Wow, the wind is so strong—Dad, is it going to rain?"

The sound of children shouting came from beside Ye Man'er.

She looked up at the entrance to the abyss. The clear sky was gradually covered by dark clouds, and the stuffy, damp air rushed into the cave.

She reached out her hand, trying to feel something.

"Lieutenant Ye, did our rain-seeking ceremony work this year?" Several women curiously gathered around, hoping to get an answer from Ye Man'er.

Ye Man'er withdrew her hand, frowning slightly: "It doesn't seem like it..."

Before she could finish speaking, another gust of wind howled past, causing everyone to stagger and fall.

"Not good!" Ye Man'er's expression changed, and she shouted, "Everyone, go back immediately!"

Several tornadoes swept out of the abyss, instantly engulfing half the forest.

People screamed in terror and ran away in all directions.

Ye Man'er's heart sank. She knew this was no ordinary natural disaster, but rather someone was sabotaging her behind the scenes.

"Don't panic, everyone!" she said, helping up a child who had fallen nearby while organizing the reserve team to evacuate the crowd.

Just then, a remarkably calm figure suddenly appeared beside her; it was an old man with a white beard.

He quietly watched the chaotic scene before him, but an uncontrollable joy flashed in his eyes.

"Lieutenant Ye, she's back." The old man's voice was filled with excitement and emotion, and his eyes were glistening with tears.

"What do you mean?" Ye Man'er's heart skipped a beat. In a flash, she used her body to shield the old man.

“Mavia…our first knight!” The old man’s gaze became firm and fervent. Suddenly, he took a few steps forward, exposing himself completely to the raging wind without hesitation, and shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Rise—"

His voice boomed through the air like thunder, carrying boundless power and hope. As if a fire had been ignited, people's passion erupted instantly.

This emotion quickly spread like wildfire, with cheers rising and falling. People quieted down and gathered together, forming a long human wall by holding hands.

“Maviya—”

"Rise! Rise! Rise!"

Yeman gazed at the enthusiastic crowd, their eyes burning with longing and determination for the rest of their lives. The pace quickened, their shouts resounding, deeply moving all who witnessed it.

Yes, this nation has suffered far too much. From ancient times to the present, they have endured countless wars, disasters, and pains, but they have never abandoned their beliefs and culture, always holding fast to their homeland and land. Now, they have finally ushered in a new era… an era full of hope and opportunity.

"Deer Knights—Rise!" With this shout, the crowd's emotions were completely ignited, and the atmosphere instantly reached a climax. Almost everyone responded to the slogan, their voices growing louder and louder, shaking the entire Abyss.

Even the young men in the reserve team were infected by the enthusiastic atmosphere, stomping their feet to the rhythm. Their youthful and energetic eyes revealed their hopes for the future.

Yeman slowly made her way through the crowd, arriving at the head of the excited throng. She stood there quietly, gazing up at the high, lofty throne of the Abyss. It seemed she was proclaiming to that person: this nation is ready, ready to welcome their rise.

Moose was also looking at her. Behind him were the other Templar Knights who had just gathered.

He held tightly the golden antlers, a symbol of power and glory, in his hand, which were gleaming like a dazzling pearl.

"Deer Knights, rise!" Ye Man'er placed her hand on her chest and shouted these words with the most sincere emotion. Her voice was clear and loud, echoing throughout the entire square and resonating in the hearts of everyone present.

"Rise!"
