Boonie Bears: Another World Fantasy
Chapter 127 Then Make Me Unforgivable
“Na Ling, as the older sister, you can’t be so naughty anymore. You have to set a good example for your younger sister. When she grows up, she will take you as her role model.” The mother stroked Na Ling’s hair and braided the loose braids back into place.
"Okay, Mom, I've been behaving very properly lately," Na Ling nodded slightly.
The flickering candlelight inside the house added a touch of brightness to this cozy little home—and also welcomed a new member.
Na Ling carefully cradled her infant sister in her arms, her movements unusually gentle. Gently lifting a corner of the blanket, she saw a tiny, rosy face so adorable that she couldn't resist giving it a kiss.
“Mommy, look, my little sister’s hands are so small…” Na Ling was overjoyed as she played with the baby girl’s soft little hands.
Na Yuan sat by the candlelight, watching the two inseparable sisters with great interest.
"How are you? Have you been feeling unwell lately?" A pair of strong arms lifted the animal-skin curtain separating the room and the kitchen, and the man asked Na Yuan.
Before his wife could answer, his eldest daughter, Naling, started chattering and complaining.
"Dad, I thought you went to the kitchen to make a midnight snack!" Na Ling pouted and complained angrily to Muzepar, whose hands were empty.
Naya, who had been fast asleep, seemed to be waking up, and was about to be woken up by Naling's voice. Seeing this, Nayuan quickly smiled and gestured to Muzepar, indicating that he should stay in the room with his daughter, while he picked up Naya and tiptoed towards the door so that the little one could continue to sleep peacefully.
“You can’t eat too much for a late-night snack. Here, let me pour you a glass of water.” Muzepar reached out and stroked his thick beard, then handed Naling a glass of water with a straw inserted.
Na Ling's eyes lit up as she eagerly took the cup and peered inside—it turned out that the cup contained not ordinary boiled water, but juice made from precious Aror fruits!
Nevertheless, Na Ling still seemed somewhat sullen.
"What's wrong? Is your beautiful daughter unhappy today?" Muzepar couldn't help but tease her, looking at her daughter's slightly worried face.
Hearing her father's teasing, Na Ling felt a little awkward, but she was too embarrassed to hide it any longer. She silently turned her gaze to the direction her mother had just left, her expression slightly worried.
"No way... Dad, I'm very happy." Na Ling shook her straw and leaned on the table.
Seeing his daughter slumped listlessly on the table, Muzepar didn't see this as a good sign. He pulled up a chair and sat down next to Naling. His usually gentle gaze turned serious, a stark contrast to his earlier relaxed demeanor.
“I know you don’t want to hear me lie, Naling, but we still have time before the war breaks out…” He narrowed his eyes, staring at the flickering candlelight on the table, and said heavily.
"Why do we have to fight each other? Wouldn't it be better if we all lived together peacefully?" Her simple question seemed so naive because she lacked a deep understanding of the complexities of worldly interests.
Muzepar did not choose to deliberately avoid the question after hearing it from his daughter.
"Humans have emotions, Naling. Just like you, you laugh when you're happy and cry when you're sad. Similarly, when people feel jealous, they often harbor hatred; once anger flares up, hatred grows wildly..."
"And hatred will lead to war."
Suddenly, Muzepar blew hard onto the table. The already flickering flame was pushed extremely low by the airflow, almost extinguished. Seeing this, Naling quickly reached out to protect the dying candlelight.
"Some things will become clear once you enter the more core organizational levels of the clan."
“But what about my little sister? She’s so young…” Na Ling was extremely anxious at the thought of Naya possibly facing a situation where no one would take care of her in the future.
At this moment, Muzepar suddenly chuckled. He looked at Naling meaningfully and comforted her, "Isn't it because we still have you, our dutiful and responsible older sister?"
However, the proud Na Ling didn't take these words to heart. She snorted and turned her head away: "Compared to these trivial matters, I'm more worried about whether she'll steal my food in the future. Every time she sees the food Mom makes, that girl is never polite at all!"
As they talked, a hint of annoyance unconsciously appeared on Na Ling's face, but more than that, it was her doting affection for her younger sister, and the originally heavy and serious topic became lighter.
"Little sister... my dear little sister, when will you grow up quickly?!" After quietly drinking the juice, Na Ling looked up at the ceiling of the wooden house and sighed.
The deathly silence of the night did not affect her tangled thoughts, because Na Ling had made up her mind to pave the way for her younger sister and give her a complete childhood.
Even if it means taking on a crime that should never have existed for this family...
……
But, sister, after you collapsed… Naya didn’t know what to do anymore.
In a flash, the purple star mixed with Lefie's blood rapidly spread throughout Naya's body. Its spread was much faster than she had initially anticipated.
A demon lurking deep within her mind raged, attempting to seize absolute control of her body. Naya's head throbbed with pain, and she involuntarily knelt on the ground. Even so, she couldn't stop purple tears from streaming down her face.
His brown pupils were also stained a terrifying dark purple.
Bald Qiang was eager to get closer to Naya, but before he could get any closer, Naya angrily stopped him:
"Don't come any closer! Take Zhao Lin and get out of here right now... Hurry up!!"
A raging beast is about to be awakened.
Bald Qiang struggled to hug Zhao Lin and then ran towards the nearest road.
Several beams of bright light suddenly pierced the deep darkness of the forest, shining directly into him. Bald Qiang immediately stopped and stared intently. A group of fully armed special forces soldiers were rapidly approaching from the depths of the woods.
Who called them?
Before Bald Qiang could react, several infrared beams had already intersected around his chest, forcing him to immediately steady himself and dare not move again.
Strangely, the soldiers didn't seem very interested in him. Instead, they quickly dispersed into the woods, moving forward longitudinally, their gun barrels pointing behind him.
"Shoot any Deer Clan members wearing armor, and capture the children alive!" The leader, standing at the front of the group, gestured with tactical hand signals as he slowly approached Bald Qiang.
"Quickly carry the wounded to the vehicle, it's right next to the road below—" Before the leader could finish speaking, Bald Qiang strode through the long line again.
"Where's the doctor? Where's the doctor?!"
Running to the roadside, he could see in the distance that the medical convoy had been parked there for quite some time. The flashing red and blue emergency lights on the roof of the vehicles had never made Bald Qiang feel so at ease.
After placing the unconscious Zhao Lin on a stretcher, he bypassed the soldiers who were busily preparing medical equipment and prepared to return the way he came.
“There’s another one, Naya’s sister…” Bald Qiang wiped the sweat from his forehead and muttered to himself. The roar of engines came from not far away. Several armored vehicles roared as they turned around on the road and sped down the slope. Meanwhile, on the other side, several main battle tanks equipped with huge searchlights slowly raised their gun barrels, almost simultaneously aiming at the direction they had just rushed from.
A burst of gunfire suddenly rang out, signaling the start of a fierce battle.
"Oh no! Naya!"
……
Aren't you a fake?
Can a bowing apology really count?
The bells of cause and effect resonate.
It serves as the backdrop for the ultimate disaster.
She had been completely corrupted by the Purple Star, losing the last vestige of her humanity. She was now no different from a ferocious and brutal beast.
The loss of loved ones... the disappearance of lovers... the betrayal of one's clan...
Did Lefève really foresee everything that happened to him?
"She's right above me!"
Everyone looked up and saw her floating in the air, looking down at them from above.
The soldiers raised their guns and began pouring bullets overhead. For a moment, the muzzle flashes created a dazzling web of fire. But Naya was faster, so swift that she left only a purple afterimage behind her.
In the blink of an eye, she landed with incredible speed, her spear sweeping across a wide area. The scattered soldiers didn't even have time to retaliate before they were already slaughtered. Flashes of fire rippled through the air, one after another. Each flash of light stained the ground with their scalding blood, forming pools of crimson blood.
An armored vehicle hurtling towards her fired rockets, but they were all deflected by the bursts of energy that erupted from the ground. Naya charged her spear to its full power and hurled it—the gleaming golden blade ignored even the strongest synthetic metal, easily piercing the vehicle and causing a secondary explosion.
Looking at the scene before her, she felt an exhilarating feeling that she would never normally experience.
"Hahaha, so powerful...so amazing...it's just what I want!" Whether it was a hallucination or not, Lefie's gloating voice echoed in Naya's ears.
"This powerful body is truly irresistible to me—"
Her voice made Naya even more agitated.
"Get out of my head!" Naya's expression was a mixture of shock and pain. She took a few steps back, clutching her head tightly with both hands, gasping for breath.
"Accepting me will give you wings—" At this point, Lefie's conspiracy was revealed. The dark power he possessed as the high priest mixed with Mavia's remains, backfiring on Naya and taking over her body.
Golden lightning flashed around her from time to time, and tiny particles swirled around her skin. Suddenly, the armor that originally belonged to Mavia began to crack and reassemble into a new form.
"This is...?" Abu slowed his pace, witnessing incredulously as she was devoured. The chaotic breathing ceased, and "Naya" covered her face with her hands, letting out a triumphant grin.
Her long hair spread out and tumbled in mid-air.
Lefebvre stepped over the body he had just used and deliberately came to the motionless Naling, stretching out his foot to humiliate her.
"I'll take good care of her for you, old friend. It's a pity you won't see my current glory... Your death would be meaningless anyway—"
After saying that, Lefebvre glanced at Abu indifferently and slowly floated down the hillside.
"Bring the tanks up! Stop her!" someone shouted.
As the signal flare soared into the sky, several tanks below the hillside roared in unison and charged towards the figure without hesitation.
The deafening roar of cannons sent Bald Qiang sprawling to the ground, covering his ears. He watched as squads of soldiers were easily torn apart by Naya, their bodies turning into a disgusting liquid.
"What exactly is that thing? It looks like a humanoid cannonball!?"
To avoid her fierce attack, a tank next to her suddenly reversed rapidly. Due to the excessive speed, the steel behemoth nearly crashed into the ambulance parked behind it.
Only now did Bald Qiang finally realize the meaning of Naya's final warning to him.
"They can't stop her! Drive! Hurry up!" Bald Qiang pounded on the car door.
"There are still people down there!" the medic said, pointing ahead.
A blue cat was pulling a person with its mouth, trying to get closer to them.
……
Just a tiny bit more, just a tiny bit more! With all his might, Ah used his bloodied and mangled mouth to bite Na Ling and dragged her to the open space in front of the ambulance.
Unlike the astonished looks of those around him, Bald Qiang immediately recognized its identity.
Abu activated the Lailt Armor again and sprinted forward like an arrow. Just as the helmet was about to cover his head, Abu looked at him and said, word by word, "It's nice to see you again, Bald Qiang."
Time was of the essence, leaving him no time to pause and think. Before anyone could react, Abu had already snatched a bundle of magnetic bombs from the body of a dead soldier and plunged into the smoke-filled battlefield without looking back.
!
The tank was overturned and immediately followed by an explosion. The closer to the center of the battlefield, the more chaotic it became, with people piled on top of each other, and Abu's small figure was instantly engulfed.
The car started, some people were discussing, some were praying... only Bald Qiang knew why Abu was doing this.
Dodging the falling corpses, and facing the berserk Naya, Abu pulled the pin on the bomb and leaped onto Naya with it.
"Hopefully this will buy you some time... Consider it the price I pay for betraying you," it murmured.
The monitor entered its final countdown—
"You damn cat!" Noticing the bomb on its body, Lefie was startled and quickly manipulated Naya's hand to erect an energy barrier, trying to completely isolate it.
But Abu clung tightly to her, his claws unwilling to let go even a little.
"Bang—"
A burst of white light suddenly erupted, so intense that it was impossible to look directly at it.
It also interweaves Abu's final thoughts.
"Abu, come here!" Zhao Lin's melodious voice rang out from the radiant light. She smiled and beckoned to Abu, while Naya carefully stroked Abu's fur. Sharp, unconvinced, stood to the side, arguing with it, his face flushed, but their eyes revealed the unspoken understanding only good friends could share.
Everyone was so kind and got along so well. Why did I ultimately choose to let them down?
With this violent explosion, all the fighting was swallowed up. The bomb mercilessly destroyed the surrounding makeshift buildings and facilities, and even propelled the ambulance to the distant shore—the deep city.
"I can't forgive him..."
"Maybe this is better for them."
Abu thought.
