Chapter 370 About Fushiguro Megumi

Chapter 370 About Fushiguro Megumi

Huihui, a little girl.

Introduction of the main characters, original storyline

Megumi Fushiguro is a first-year student at the Tokyo Metropolitan High School of Jujutsu, and classmates with Yuujin Itadori and Nobara Kugizaki. She is a descendant of the Zenin family, one of the three great families of jujutsu. She is currently a Level 2 jujutsu master (in the process of advancing to Level 1). Despite being only a first-year student, she is already capable of carrying out missions independently and is known as a "genius jujutsu master" by the students at the Kyoto school.

He is 175cm tall and has short, spiky black hair with a bluish tinge.

His eye color is dark blue (green in the comics).

Hui was wearing the standard college uniform: a dark blue turtleneck jacket, dark blue wide-leg pants, and brown leather shoes.

He appears calm and taciturn, but deep down he hopes to help and protect those he considers kind. He entered the Jujutsu High School a year earlier than Yuujin Itadori, became acquainted with the second-year students, and the person he respects most is Yuuta Otsukotsu.

Influenced by his father's early death and the Zen family lineage, he initially resisted his destiny to become a sorcerer. However, after his older sister, Tsumiki, was cursed and fell into a deep sleep, he questioned the fact that "good people who deserve happiness are not rewarded," and thus realized the world was unfair. Megumi resolved to become a sorcerer to create a world where more good people could equally enjoy happiness. From then on, he actively worked to save as many "good people" as possible. He claimed that this idea stemmed from his own selfishness and was entirely driven by emotion. He did not consider himself a "partner of justice" or a "hero."

After meeting Yuuji Itadori, holding onto this belief, Megumi recognized him as a truly good person, just like her sister. Even though Itadori became the vessel for the two-faced Sukuna, she still pleaded with Satoru Gojo to find a solution out of personal affection. Even later, when facing Sukuna, she didn't regret saving Yuuji, claiming that she saved him entirely out of selfishness—not wanting a good person like him to die—and didn't think much of it. Conversely, Megumi was quite cold-blooded when faced with the deaths of criminals and evil people, because she believed these "sinners" didn't deserve to be saved. After experiencing Yuuji Itadori's death at the juvenile detention center, Megumi began to reflect on this even more.

Megumi is also a very mysterious person, so Nobara Kugizaki once complained that Megumi Fushiguro hardly tells anyone anything about himself.

Megumi enjoys reading non-fiction and knew Professor Gojo Satoru before enrolling in school. She likes food with ginger but dislikes red chili peppers. She prefers loose-fitting loungewear and her hairstyle is not fixed.

Megumi Fushiguro is a prodigy who was assessed as a Level 2 sorcerer upon entering the academy. As the heir to the Zenin family's "Ten Shadow Arts," his potential is widely recognized. Ryomen Sukuna once stated that Fushiguro's skill in using shikigami is considerable, but he prefers close-quarters combat. Therefore, his fighting style is unique compared to other summoning-type sorcerers. Satoru Gojo believes he possesses potential comparable to Yuujin Itadori. In battle, Fushiguro primarily combines his physical attacks with his shikigami to attack his opponent.

While Megumi's physique wasn't as robust as that of Zenin Maki, Itadori Yuujin, or her father, Fushiguro Jinji, she still possessed excellent physical abilities. During her junior high school years, she once single-handedly defeated half of the delinquents in her neighborhood.

Megumi Fushiguro cannot wield his magical implements while using spells because his shikigami require both hands to summon. However, while everyone else was using magical implements to prepare for the exchange meeting, Megumi learned to use a polearm under the guidance of Maki Zenin, and he also used an oriental staff in his battle against Noriyuki Kamo.

Megumi possesses exceptional strategic thinking, enabling him to quickly identify potential weaknesses in his opponents. For instance, during his battle with Hanamichi, he discovered that the tree branch on Hanamichi's face was a weakness. Megumi can also guess the type of sorcery his opponents use. During the Shibuya Incident, Megumi's keen insight allowed him to successfully defeat the curse master he faced, together with Itadori Yuujin.

Spells

Ten types of shadow magic

One of the ancestral techniques of the Zenin family, one of the three great families of sorcery. It allows the use of hand shadows to summon corresponding shikigami. Except for the power-intensive "Full Elephant," a maximum of two shikigami can be summoned at once. The shadow shikigami summoned by the ten shadow spells are more powerful than ordinary shikigami, but once completely destroyed, they can no longer appear. The spell and power remaining from a destroyed shikigami are inherited by other shikigami. It is also possible to merge two shikigami into one through an expansion spell.

After awakening the technique, the user will first obtain two Jade Dogs. Other shikigami need to be tamed before they can be used. Ultimately, the user can control ten shikigami.

Megumi Fushiguro can also store items in the shadows, and even hide herself in the shadows to ambush her opponents.

玉犬

Two shikigami dogs, one black and one white, chase and devour curses. After the white shikigami dog was destroyed by an unknown special-grade curse, its abilities and curse power were inherited by the black shikigami dog, which then evolved into the shikigami dog "Hun".

Jade Dog "Hun"

The Black Jade Dog is an upgraded version of the destroyed White Jade Dog. This shikigami's power is enough to rival that of a top-tier cursed spirit.

Nue

An owl-like shikigami whose main attack method is swooping down from the air. It can use its claws to lift up Kuro Megumi.

Serpent

A giant serpentine spirit that could burst from the ground to ambush and bind its opponents. It was later destroyed by Ryomen Sukuna.

Toad

Toad spirits can use their tongues to stick to their opponents and pull them off. Megumi Fushiguro once used this technique to save Nobara Kugisaki.

Unknown bottom of the well

A fusion of the Shrimp Shikigami and the Nue Shikigami, capable of flight.

满象

The elephant shikigami can spew large amounts of water from its trunk. Because this shikigami consumes a lot of magical energy, Megumi can only use its basic form.

Rabbit

The rabbit shikigami can distract the enemy, allowing the user to escape.

Eight-Handed Sword, Different Ring, God General, Demon Void

The most powerful shikigami that can be summoned by the ten shadow spells. It was subdued by Ryoumen Sukuna.

Domain Expansion

Chimera Shadow Garden: This domain fills the area where the user is located with numerous shadows. Within the domain, Megumi can summon multiple shadow shikigami, and even create substitutes for herself using shadows. When deploying the domain, Megumi can hide within the shadows of enemies to attack from their blind spots. Megumi's domain is not yet fully formed; however, it is already enough to confuse even a Superior Spellcaster.

childhood

Fushiguro's mother passed away when he was a child. After his father, Fushiguro Jinji, remarried, he and his stepmother disappeared. From then on, he lived with his adoptive sister, Fushiguro Tsumiki.

The father, Fushiguro Shige, once offered 10 billion yen to Zenji Naobijin in exchange for his son, Fushiguro Megumi, who possessed shadow magic. However, before his death, Fushiguro Shige entrusted his son to Gojo Satoru. Gojo helped the Fushiguro family pay off their debts, provided living expenses for the siblings, and even secured funding for Megumi's enrollment in Tokyo Jujutsu High School on the condition that "Megumi will definitely enroll in the school in the future."

Secondary school

Fushiguro and his older sister, Fushiguro Tsumiki, both attended Urami Higashi Junior High School. During their time there, Fushiguro severely punished all the school's delinquents, piling them up and sitting on top of them, earning the respect of the entire group who called him "Fushiguro-nii" (Brother Fushiguro). His sister, Megumi, disapproved of Megumi's violent methods and repeatedly tried to dissuade her, which Megumi found annoying. Later, when his sister was cursed by a spirit and fell into a long-term slumber, Megumi realized her sister was right and felt guilty towards her.

Theft of a Top-Tier Cursed Artifact

Fushiguro, a first-year student at a high school specializing in cursed arts, is tasked by Gojo Satoru with retrieving the top-grade cursed artifact "Ryoumen Sukuna's Finger." However, the Phantom Research Club at Itadori's school secretly takes it away, breaking Sukuna's seal and drawing him into a battle against numerous cursed spirits.

Fushiguro initially gained the upper hand in the battle against the phantom, but was injured and weakened while saving Itadori from being struck by the giant cursed spirit. At the critical moment, Itadori swallowed Sukuna's finger, gaining cursed power but also temporarily having his body possessed by Sukuna, instantly killing the cursed spirit. After regaining control of his body, Fushiguro hesitated whether to exorcise Itadori as a cursed spirit when Gojo Satoru arrived. After fighting Sukuna for ten seconds, Gojo confirmed Itadori's dominance over Sukuna and took Itadori and Fushiguro back to the high school.

When Itadori was deemed a cursed spirit and about to be secretly executed, Fushiguro felt deep remorse and guilt, pleading for Itadori's life and advising Gojo Satoru to observe the situation, pointing out the possibility that Itadori was a vessel for Sukuna. After obtaining Gojo Satoru's permission, Fushiguro took the injured and unconscious Itadori to receive treatment.

Cursing the fetus

The three first-year students entered the juvenile academy where the Cursed Embryo was located and encountered its mutated form. After assessing that there was a decisive difference in strength and that they could not escape from the "tent" quickly, Fushiguro gritted his teeth and accepted the challenge.

During the battle, Fushiguro's shikigami, "Hakudama Inu," was completely destroyed. After the wounded Itadori suggested releasing Sukuna after everyone else had safely evacuated, Fushiguro decided to split up. He went to find Kugizaki, who had been taken away, while simultaneously searching for the edge of the "tent's" exit. After finding Kugizaki, Fushiguro handed her over to Ijichi, who was waiting outside, and stayed behind to wait for Itadori.

After defeating the Special Grade Cursed Spirit, Sukuna, having lost consciousness due to Itajitari, left the juvenile detention center and encountered Fushiguro, who was left behind at the entrance. Sukuna decided to kill him. To prevent Itajitari from stopping him, Sukuna pulled out Itajitari's heart. Fushiguro fought him with all his might but was utterly overwhelmed. However, during the battle, both Sukuna and Fushiguro developed a strong interest in him.

As Fushiguro was about to lose consciousness, he decided to pull both of them into the sage-slaying ritual of the shikigami "Ya-grip sword, Yi-jie Shenjiang, Maxu-luo" to perish together. However, at this moment, Itadori regained consciousness on his own, took back control of his body, and told Fushiguro to "live a little longer" before dying. Fushiguro then released the summon and fell into a coma.

Kyoto Sister School Exchange Meeting

Fushiguro and Kugizaki are invited by second-year students Zenin Maki, Panda, and Inuhamaki Toshi to attend a sister school exchange event in Kyoto. There, they encounter Zenin Mai and Toudou Aoi from the Kyoto school. Fushiguro and Toudou have a minor disagreement, but fortunately, the second-year students from the Tokyo school intervene and prevent a fight. Before the exchange event, the Tokyo school students reunite with the resurrected Itadori.

During the exchange, Fushiguro analyzed the Kyoto team's movements and deduced that they intended to kill Itadori Yuujin before engaging Kamo Noriyuki in battle. In the heat of the battle, Inumaki Tori and the Special Grade Cursed Spirit Hanamichi, who were fighting simultaneously, suddenly joined the fray. The two quickly coordinated with Inumaki to fight Hanamichi. Soon after, Kamo and Inumaki fell, but Zenin Maki swiftly arrived to provide support. After Hanamichi fought seriously, Fushiguro and Maki were injured and unable to defeat her, but were rescued by Itadori Yuujin and Toudou Aoi, who had come to their aid, and returned to the hospital.

After the exchange, Fushiguro and Gojo Satoru began special training. Gojo Satoru pointed out that because of the existence of the Demon Lord, he always thought about "winning by dying" instead of "winning by fighting to the death," and therefore did not have a strong desire to become stronger.

The beginning is the same

Fushiguro, along with Itadori Yuujin and Kugizaki Nobara, return to their former school, Urami Higashi Junior High, to investigate the cursed spirits. After splitting up, Fushiguro encounters a cursed spirit similar to the Cursed Embryo Daiten and is severely injured. Just as Fushiguro is about to summon Makuro, he recalls Gojo Satoru's teachings during his special training and abandons the summoning. He then comprehends the incomplete version of the domain, unleashing "Chimera Dark Garden," and defeats the cursed spirit.

After the three reunited, Fushiguro entrusted the Tsukuna Finger, obtained from defeating the cursed spirit, to Itajō for safekeeping. After the incident, Tōdō Aoi and Meimei jointly recommended Megumi and the others as Level 1 Spellcasters.

Shibuya Incident

Fushiguro, along with Nanami Kento and Ino Takuma, act together. After learning that Gojo Satoru has been sealed, they reunite with Itadori. The two join forces to fight the curse master Awashaka Jiro. After analyzing the characteristics of Awashaka Jiro's spell, they work together with Itadori to defeat him.

Afterwards, they encountered Nanami Kento, Zenin Maki, and Zenin Naohito, who were trapped by Tagore's domain "Dangyun Pingxian". Megumi also used her domain "Chimera Ansei Nichi" to fight against Tagore, eliminating the guaranteed hit effect of Tagore's domain and buying time for the three. Then, Fushiguro Jinji, who had been resurrected, forcibly broke into the domain and killed Tagore. After the domain was dispelled, Jinji threw her out of the window. Megumi continued to fight Fushiguro Jinji, who was in the state of a killing doll.

After learning that Megumi's surname was not Zen-in, she found peace and attempted suicide. She then encountered Shigemen Haruta, who had come to take advantage of her misfortune. Exhausted from the long battle, Fushiguro, knowing he was no match, decided to take everyone down with him. After summoning Makura, he collapsed, only to be saved by Ryomen Sukuna. Makura was defeated by Sukuna, and Shigemen Haruta was then sliced in half lengthwise by Sukuna. Sukuna also used a reversal technique to heal Megumi's injuries from Shigemen Haruta's sneak attack.

Zen temples change every household

After the Shibuya Incident, the current head of the Zenin family, Zenin Naohito, was declared dead. His will included a special reason for fulfilling the contract with Fushiguro Jinji, welcoming Megumi as the next head of the Zenin family and transferring all his property. This cut off the succession opportunity of his eldest son, Zenin Naoya, and made Megumi and Hisahito, who was the vessel for Sukuna, the targets of Naoya's hunt.

死灭回游

The now-awakened Megumi collaborates with Yuuta Otsukoshi and informs him that Itadori, a pseudo-Natsuyuki, has orchestrated a battle royale called "Death's Return," which involves those endowed with curses, including the now-awakened Tsumiki. Back at Tokyo school, she meets Tengen in the basement with Maki and Tsukumo. Together with Itadori and Panda, she persuades Kinji and Kirara Hoshi to help find the sorcerer "Angel" Kurusu Hana, who can save Gojo Satoru.

After discussing with Itadori and others, they set off to find Hiromi Higurashi, who possessed 102 points and could modify the "Death Return" ability. Upon entering the "Death Return," they were separated from Itadori due to the game's random teleportation mechanism. They were tricked by the sorceress Reimi into going to the ancient sorceress Reiji, where they fought Reiji. Reiji defeated Reiji by perfectly combining his partially completed domain and advantageous shaping. Due to severe injuries, he fell into a coma and was found by the "Angel."
