Xia Rongliu took the ointment back to her room and looked at the obedient Xia Yuanxiao, saying to him, "Come here." Xia Yuanxiao obediently went over.

"Your eyes are so beautiful." Xia Rongliu said, then returned to her side of the bed, took off her coat, lay down, and covered herself with the blanket.

Xia Rongliu genuinely thought Xia Yuanxiao's eyes were beautiful.

As the night passed and the sun rose high the next day, Xia Rongliu was still lying in bed. Xia Rongliu loved to stay in bed in the summer, let alone in the winter; she wanted to stick to the bed and never get up.

The sun was out today, and it was a little warmer than usual. When Xia Rongliu opened her eyes, she saw a face in front of her, which startled her so much that she quickly sat up, abandoning any thought of going back to sleep.

As the face gradually came into focus, it was Xia Yuanxiao. Xia Rongliu breathed a sigh of relief. "You scared me to death! When did you get up?" Xia Rongliu remembered that she had just gained a younger brother yesterday.

Xia Yuanxiao looked at Xia Rongliu's reaction and felt a little embarrassed. "I don't know." Xia Yuanxiao really didn't know when she got up. It was still dark when she got up. Maybe she hadn't gotten used to it yet, or maybe it was because it gets light later in winter.

Xia Rongliu started putting on her coat. "Let's go, it's time for breakfast." Xia Rongliu got out of bed to put on her shoes and saw Xia Yuanxiao still sitting on the bed with a puzzled look on her face.

"I don't have shoes..."

“If you don’t have shoes, just say so. Your build is similar to mine, so mine is yours. You can just take mine and wear them.” Xia Rongliu took another pair of shoes and placed them in front of the bed.

Xia Rongliu took Xia Yuanxiao to the main room, and sure enough, breakfast had already started. Her father usually left early, so he would either take some food with him to eat on the way, or he would eat first, and then she, her mother, and her grandmother would eat together.

"So it's your nickname, right, Yuanxiao?" Xia Rongliu turned her head to look at Xia Yuanxiao, who nodded, seemingly unaware of what she was saying.

"Eat up, eat quickly. After you finish, let's go to the market to buy some clothes for Yuanxiao. This pink dress, people who don't know her might think she's a girl," Lin Yue said.

Looking at Xia Yuanxiao dressed in pink, Old Lady Xia asked, "Is this Yinyin's clothes? Hey? Where did Yuanxiao sleep the latest?"

"What's wrong with that? The beds are all separated. Besides, there are countless families in the village whose children are teenagers and still like to sleep together." Lin Yue picked up her bowl. "What's wrong with being a daughter of an official? There's no need for so many formalities to restrain you."

Old Lady Xia was speechless after being told off, and just kept eating.

After finishing their meal, Xia Rongliu and Lin Yue tidied up and took Xia Yuanxiao to the market. Xia Yuanxiao's hair was messy because she had been wandering the streets before.
