Quick Transmigration: Seducing the Villain, the Delicate Beauty Becomes His Darling
Chapter 48 The Yandere CEO's Delicate Mermaid (24)
As dusk settled, the smell of disinfectant filled the air, mingling with the wailing of babies and the gentle soothing of the elderly.
Pei Xingzhou suddenly opened his eyes and quickly looked at the hospital bed next to him, but no one was there.
He stumbled and fell off the bed, then got up again, crying, "Grandma, where's Zhizhi!"
The man's eyes were filled with tears, and his tall body trembled slightly.
Grandma Pei glanced at him silently.
"Pei Xingzhou, I'm here."
A gentle voice rang in his ears, like heavenly music. Pei Xingzhou turned his head, tears falling, and ran over to hug the person.
"You big idiot, don't run around like that, you'll scare me to death!" His voice was hoarse, with a few pauses in his breathing.
“I just went to the restroom, and there were two caregivers with me.” Song Yunzhi reached out and hugged him back. “You’re the silly one.”
The man, with a stern face, bent down and carried her back to the bed, staring intently at her face without moving.
It's alright, his little mermaid is fine.
"Snap out of it." Song Yunzhi pinched his cheek, her eyes crinkling. "It's not like we've never met before."
Pei Xingzhou leaned over and hugged the person tightly, then took a deep breath.
He had only slept with her, but it felt like he hadn't seen her for ages.
Grandma Pei came over carrying the baby and patted the father on the shoulder, saying, "Zhizhi didn't cry when she gave birth. You should be more dignified. You came out of the delivery room in a daze. How dare you cry?"
Song Yunzhi smiled and hugged the aggrieved man in her arms, rubbing his head.
He used to nag like an old man, but lately he's been acting like a child, needing to be coaxed.
Pei Xingzhou felt a little embarrassed and reluctantly let go of her, his face slightly tense.
Grandma Pei handed the child over with a beaming smile, "Hurry up and hold him, he's a father after all."
The pink and tender little dumpling pouted its little mouth and occasionally let out a soft whimper.
Pei Xingzhou's eyes flickered slightly, as if something had struck his heart, and he raised his stiff arm to catch it.
She forgot to breathe, only knowing to stare motionlessly at the baby in her arms.
Seeing his alarmed expression, the old lady gently adjusted his posture by pulling his arm and said with a soft laugh, "Six pounds and six ounces, she's a good little granddaughter, and she looks exactly like you when you were little."
Pei Xingzhou subconsciously tightened his arms, his heart pounded in his chest, and his gaze softened.
Song Yunzhi tilted her head and looked over, gently touching her daughter's cheek with her finger; it was soft like a ball of cotton.
The old lady watched for a while, then realized it wasn't good to stay and bother them any longer, so she left reluctantly.
"Give me a hug." Song Yunzhi reached out her hand to him.
Pei Xingzhou helped her lie down slowly, then leaned down and kissed her cheek. "Thank you, wife."
She smiled, her eyes crinkling, "Thank you, husband."
The man's gaze paused slightly, and a light mist rose in his eyes.
His wife is such a big idiot.
Instead of letting her hold the child, Pei Xingzhou placed his daughter between the two of them, turned to the side of the bed to protect her, and looked down at her gently.
The little guy pouted, looking for food, but didn't cry.
"It's time to breastfeed."
Song Yunzhi unbuttoned her clothes and turned to hug her daughter.
Her skin was snow-white, and her body, which had become much fuller after pregnancy, looked even more gentle and charming at this moment.
The sunset glow shone through the window, illuminating the woman's beautiful face, making her appear pure and radiant.
Pei Xingzhou reached out and covered the mother and daughter with the thin blanket that had slipped off, then lowered his gaze and looked away.
It's so beautiful, just looking at it feels like an offense and a desecration.
Not long after, the soft sucking sounds disappeared.
Pei Xingzhou immediately looked up, reached out and picked up his daughter, putting her back in the cradle. He then came over and helped her fasten her buttons.
Then he wrapped his arms around her waist, his warm palms protecting her waist.
Song Yunzhi hugged him tightly, tilted her head back and kissed his chin, "Pei Xingzhou, come up and sleep."
The man responded in a low, husky voice, lay down beside her, raised his hand to touch the back of her head, and pulled her tightly into his arms.
"You've been very quiet today." Song Yunzhi pinched his waist. "Are you unhappy?"
"I'm happy," Pei Xingzhou replied immediately, lowering his head to kiss her forehead. "I'm just afraid it's all a dream."
He didn't consider himself a good person, but God had given him so many wonderful things.
"Silly boy, does it hurt when I pinch you?" Song Yunzhi said with a soft laugh.
"It doesn't hurt." He looked at her gently. "Wife, push harder."
"No, it hurts my hand from pinching." She let go.
Pei Xingzhou's expression shifted slightly. He took her fingers and rubbed them, then lowered his head and kissed her fingertips. "It's my fault. You should rest now."
"Mermaids recover quickly, and I'm not feeling unwell anymore."
"It hurts," he murmured hoarsely.
His eyes stung, so he lowered his head and pressed his forehead against hers to hide his tears.
She went through so much hardship to give birth to the child, how could she not be in pain?
"Wife, darling."
"Ok?"
"How about I catch all the delicious little fish in the world for you to eat?"
“Okay, the head chef will make it,” Song Yunzhi said happily.
Pei Xingzhou was both amused and exasperated. He hid the tears welling up in his eyes and touched her lips. "It seems I'll have to support the head chef for the rest of my life."
"Of course." She tilted her head back to kiss him, a smile in her eyes.
He was speechless for a moment, then gently patted her back. "Go to sleep. I'll stay here with you and the baby."
"Then stop crying."
"I do not have."
Song Yunzhi blinked. "You've soaked my collar with your tears."
"..."
After staying in the hospital for a day, Song Yunzhi was going home the next day. She was wrapped up tightly the whole time, as if she couldn't be seen by anyone after giving birth.
Once in the car, Pei Xingzhou quickly closed the door.
Meeting the woman's large, watery eyes, he looked down and asked with concern, "Honey, are you hungry?"
"Do I have to keep covering it up like this?"
Song Yunzhi shook her head, her eyes playful and lively.
Pei Xingzhou couldn't help but kiss her eyes.
