Song Yunzhi had been following the cruise ship. When she heard the commotion on board, she quickly swam over to get on. Suddenly, a man jumped off, splashing water all over her face.

"Song Yunzhi, where are you!"

The seabed at night was like an abyss, unfathomable. The man plunged into the water again and again, then surfaced and shouted left and right until his voice became hoarse.

More and more people plunged into the water, and Song Yunzhi quickly swam over and pulled her tail back.

"Pei Xingzhou," she called softly.

In the darkness, the man's eyes suddenly brightened, and he swam over following the sound, reaching out to grab her hand.

The icy seawater chilled him to the bone, but his palms were warm as he carefully touched her face, his fingertips trembling slightly.

"Song Yunzhi?"

"Ah."

He suddenly hugged her tightly, his strong arms encircling her waist, his large hands covering the back of her head.

Forced into his embrace, Song Yunzhi instinctively hugged his neck, meeting his somewhat stern face, and remained silent, not daring to speak.

"President Pei! Miss Song!" Assistant Xu shouted from above, tears of joy streaming down his face.

Once on the ship, Pei Xingzhou took the blanket handed to him by Assistant Xu, wrapped it around Song Yunzhi with a slightly cold expression, and carried her back to the room.

He filled the bathtub with hot water, put her in, and met Song Yunzhi's gentle yet tense eyes. All the emotions he had suppressed throughout the night finally erupted.

"Song Yunzhi, what's bothering you that you have to jump into the sea?!"

The man's eyes were slightly red, and his hands, hanging at his sides, were clenched into fists, with veins bulging.

Song Yunzhi looked up at him. When his "darkening value" was rising and approaching 70, she quickly stood up and reached out to grab his hand.

"Pei Xingzhou."

The woman called his name softly, her starry eyes clear and bright as she looked at him obediently, "Don't be angry anymore."

The man's chin was slightly lowered, his face was full of anger, and his dark eyes were fixed on her silently.

She didn't understand anything; she didn't understand how terrified and frightened he had just been.

He didn't even dare to imagine how things would have turned out if he hadn't found her.

Her soaked clothes clung to her body, outlining her uniquely beautiful figure. Pei Xingzhou reached out and pressed her back into the bathtub, barely suppressing his anger.

"Let's talk after we've washed."

He turned and walked out.

Song Yunzhi submerged her head in the water and bubbled around for a while, somewhat annoyed.

She just wanted to go back to the sea to play, and she even deliberately avoided everyone's sight to avoid causing unnecessary panic, but she didn't expect it to turn out like this in the end.

"Song Yunzhi, are you alright?"

A low, gloomy voice came from outside, as if worried that she might do something rash.

Song Yunzhi quickly wrapped herself in a bath towel and came out of the bathroom. Just as she was about to put on her shoes, she found a thick carpet under her feet.

Hearing the slight noise, the man standing in the center of the room turned his head and looked over, his eyes somewhat dark.

She was completely at ease, wearing only a bath towel, her fair and delicate collarbone and neck were generously displayed, and her slender legs were also faintly visible under the white bath towel.

It's time to have someone make the bath towels a bit longer.

"come over."

His tone was commanding, which made Song Yunzhi feel uncomfortable, but considering that she was in the wrong, she still walked towards him.

Meeting her anxious and nervous gaze, Pei Xingzhou's anger instantly dissipated. He led her to sit down at the dressing table and brought over a hairdryer to dry her hair.

A buzzing sound rang in her ears. Song Yunzhi looked up at him, reached out and grabbed his soaked sleeve. "Pei Xingzhou, don't be angry. I know I was wrong."

Her gentle eyes stared at him, and Pei Xingzhou felt both angry and helpless.

He didn't know what was wrong with him; what did a woman's life or death have to do with him?

In the past, he would have loved to throw any woman who deliberately got close to him into the sea to feed the fish.

What's so great about Song Yunzhi that I'm now inexplicably standing by her side, blow-drying her hair and acting as her maid?

Seeing that he didn't respond, Song Yunzhi became increasingly uncomfortable.

He might as well give her a good scolding; at least that would put his mind at ease.

"Pei Xingzhou, say something." She tugged at his sleeve.

Pei Xingzhou pursed his lips and remained silent, as if deliberately giving her the cold shoulder.

Song Yunzhi disliked this feeling and frowned slightly. "Are you mute?"

He remained silent. Song Yunzhi stood up and pushed him outside.

The hairdryer stopped abruptly, and Pei Xingzhou silently watched her, his body still being pushed forcefully by her hands.

Once he was firmly planted on his feet, he put down the hairdryer, grabbed her wrists with both hands, and said in a deep voice, "What are you doing?"

Song Yunzhi didn't reply to him, but just kept pushing him with all her might.

Pei Xingzhou frowned, grabbed her waist with both hands, lifted her to sit on the dressing table, and said in a deep voice, "What are you doing?"

He didn't have the heart to scold her, but she threw a tantrum first.

She has a terrible temper.

Looking down at the woman's slightly annoyed expression, he took a deep breath.

"Mr. Pei, the old lady is on the phone," Assistant Xu called from outside.

The man slightly composed himself, turned around and went out to get his phone. Song Yunzhi followed him, about to close the door.

Sensing her intention, Pei Xingzhou's brow twitched, and he quickly reached out to block the door.

Assistant Xu observed for three seconds, then immediately turned around and left. He knew it was best to slip away as soon as possible in such a big conflict.

"Let me in," Pei Xingzhou said in a low, gentle voice.

Upon hearing her grandson's voice on the other end of the phone, Grandma Pei's eyes lit up instantly.

"Xinzhou, is someone next to you? Is it a girl? If you're busy, go ahead and do your thing. Everything's fine here."

Pei Xingzhou reached out and put his arm around Song Yunzhi's waist, lifting her up with one hand. His voice was deep, "Okay, I'll call you back later."

"Speak nicely to that young lady, don't give her the cold shoulder, okay?"

After muttering a few words, Grandma Pei immediately hung up the phone.

Tossing his phone aside, Pei Xingzhou looked down at Song Yunzhi in his arms, a hint of helplessness in his eyes. "What's wrong? Did I do something to upset you?"

"Song Yunzhi, speak," he asked patiently.

The girl struggled to get out of his arms, but he held her tightly, supporting her bottom with his large hand, and pressed her against the wall. His voice was gentle and low, "Song Yunzhi, are you mute?"

Song Yunzhi looked up at him, her eyes filled with disdain and resentment.

Pei Xingzhou suddenly realized that what he said sounded familiar.

He pursed his lips, supported her body with one hand and walked into the room, while raising his other hand to pat her head. "It was my fault just now. I shouldn't have stayed silent."

Song Yunzhi slapped his hand, turned her head away, and didn't want to talk to him.

Pei Xingzhou chuckled and pinched her soft, white face. "I was wrong. Can the kind and generous Miss Song forgive me?"

“You smell bad,” Song Yunzhi suddenly said.

Pei Xingzhou's smile froze slightly. Remembering that he hadn't had time to change his clothes after being pulled from the seabed, he immediately put the person down.

"Then I'm going to take a shower, don't lock the door."

He spoke softly, his dark eyes fixed intently on hers.

Song Yunzhi remained silent.

Pei Xingzhou simply carried her back to his room, locked the door from the inside, placed the food and toys next to her, and coaxed her softly, "Play for a while, I'll be done soon."

Song Yunzhi thought he was sick.

It's like she can't open the door; she's not stupid.

The man grabbed a piece of clothing and went into the bathroom. She looked away and picked up a small dried fish to eat.

Pei Xingzhou finished washing up quickly and came out to find Song Yunzhi already asleep on the sofa, so he tiptoed.

He went over, picked up the blanket that had fallen to the ground, and covered her with it. He knelt down beside her, his gaze softening, his fingers involuntarily touching her face.
